Quartet for Sega Master System   classgame
Ah yes once again we dive deep into my nostalgic holiday gaming memories even though we are way past Christmas already but I'm doing at least three reviews a day
Gameplay and Story: So aliens have attacked Space Colony 9 and they have stolen the casket of a dead Queen. Why? No seriously we never find out why? do they just live to rob the graves of dead royals? There are two characters that play the Games (rather than 4 in the Mame/coin-op game) and if you are in one player mode, you will have to play as Mary, I have not seen a hack where you can play as Edgar in One Player mode. It's an interesting concept but we don't find out what they want the dead queen for.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are better than the Mame game's, and I'll leave it at that.
Sound: There are different soundtracks for each of the 6 stages nothing gets reused
Addictive: Usually if I wasn't playing Alex Kidd when I was younger I would be playing this.
Depth: This game only has 6 levels comparing to the Mame's never ending stages
Difficulty: Once you get to level 5 things get REALLY hard I've only gotten past that round once, it would be so much easier if we could get extra lives in this game or get a weapons upgrade but you don't, you get promoted after awhile
Overall: This game is one of my favourites but I have never won this game at all, one of these days I will save you Queen Cynthia
I really wonder how this would have looked had it gotten a Genesis remake, ah well I guess most of the games that got SMS and Gen releases probably only got multi platform releases if both consoles were existing at the same time
I give it an 8
