Fus-Ro-Dah---It's Skyrim!   darthyoda
How do you describe one of the biggest games ever created? If you see it, you can go there. Level up, fight enormous Dragons, and kill the king Dragon, who is terrorizing all of Skyrim. You are Dragon Born, which has been prophesied, you are mixed in with Criminals, but you are the one who will save Skyrim. Join me as we discuss The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!
Graphics: The graphics are just that good. I am blown away at how good they are. They are actually the best graphics I've seen in a game. Even on my junk off-the-assembly-line computer, the graphics are amazing! There are such details in everything, it's just incredible. The fire effects are realistic, the snow on the mountains look like someone just pasted a real mountain into the game. There is a reason that this is the that takes over your life! This screenshot I took doesn't do the game justice, because my computer has problems loading things that fade in the background. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=364471046 All of this to say, THE GAME JUST HAS SOME OF THE BEST GRAPHICS EVER!!!
The graphics are flawless! I give it a full 10/10.
Sound: I love the sound effects. The dragon shouts are great, the combat has realistic sounds, everything is just perfect. I listened to the theme song from Skyrim, and I just love it! The orchestral sounds are flawless! The game captures all of the Nordic cultural stereotypes (Positive ones) and puts it into one song! The developers for the game had to create an entire language just for the song, and some VERY small parts of the game. That is just incredible. The amount of work alone should show how good it is, but that still leaves much up to the imagination. I was expecting a lot from the game, and especially with music and other sounds, it the best!
Again, a full 10/10!
Addictiveness: With unending amounts of side quests, a main story, guilds, skills, shouts, spells and MANY other things, this game is barely beat by anything. At the beginning you choose a "Race" as they call it. I like to refer to it as Class, as it is more like choosing a perk at the beginning of the game. You can set your path, and each choice could do something harmful, or helpful to your quest. If you get caught stealing, your bounty increases, which means that Imperial troops will try to get you by seeing you. You can join guilds, clear random dungeons. If you really feel like the type, you can just hop on a hoarse, and ride until you don't feel like it. Climb a mountain etc. The list goes on and on.
The game is hard to stop playing. Ask anyone who's played it, they would play it a lot! The game gets a full 10/10.
Story: You are to bring down all the dragons who were thought to be "extinct." Does that sound fun enough? How about getting mixed up with the wrong crowd, from the start of the game? Bounty? You can become an infamous criminal, a hero, and anti-her etc. The choices of what you want to become are really infinite, there are so many choices, and so much time you could be spending on this game, it's almost ridiculous. The story is really good, but I don't want to spoil it. But, I will say that choice is important, and every playthrough is unique!
The game has a great story, but I would classify it under the full score category type. I give it a 9/10.
Gameplay/Controls: Although hard to learn, once you learn it, almost anything is possible. You can fight, sneak, ride, run, steal, swim etc. All of this is done with smooth gameplay. You can climb a mountain, have snow flying, and dragons flying, but that doesn't stop the game from working! The game works with a longer loading screen, but there are no lagging issues after that. The game has smooth combat, and great controls, but they are a little hard to get a hang of, because they are needed ones. There are so many things that I like!
The controls are hard to learn, but that doesn't make them bad. I love them. I give it a 9/10.
Depth: The game has so much to do. I already said this multiple times, you have exploration, skills, shouts, and spells. None of these are just given to you either. But you can't just learn one shout, you need to find all three parts from the shout, which makes the shout at the highest level of power. You can gather equipment, upgrade armor, level your character up, and do so much more. The sheer size of the game is just incredible. For a game as cheap as it is, you have the most amount of content I've heard of in a game. As big as they might be, none come close to the size of Skyrim!
The game gets a clear 10/10 for depth. Any other rating would be a sin!
Difficulty: The game gets hard, fighting dragons early is hard. You can use a bow, and if you are fortunate, maybe you learned a spell. If you choose the wrong thing to say, it could end up in your death. I started exploring early, and I found a giant, he wanted my money, he killed me for trying to intimidate, I couldn't even fight, it was an instant kill! Wrong choice, and I payed the price for that. If you are discovered stealing, the owner will try to kill you. If you accidentally hit someone who was attacking something, they attack etc. As you can imagine, there are many things that you need to be careful for. I love it, but it really can get hard.
The game gets a 9/10 for difficulty.
Overall: The game is really awesome! I loved the sheer detail and work they put into making an amazing game! Bethesda studios really did a good job of following up and making Skyrim the best Elder Scrolls game! I love the music, voice acting, story, graphics and depth! The game is just incredible! I love almost everything about the game, and it really is a shame that it rates the game at lower than a full 10 of 10. I give the game a well deserved 9.8/10!

Skyrim fun, but repetitive.   SpyKnightShooter
Skyrim is a great game that has lots of amazing content in it, but unfortunately after completing the main storyline, gets repetitive and takes quantity over quality.
Graphics
The graphics in Skyrim are great, though can still under perform in a lot of areas. Things such as trees, rocks, and grass are low-res, while the models on races such as the Argonians and Khajiit are greatly improved, along with the other races. The graphics are great, but can still look mediocre compared to other games on the PC.
Sound
The sound in skyrim however is amazing. During game play, unless you have headphones plugged it, you won't hear the extremely well done sound design of the world around you. The sounds really reach their peak when battling Dragons. The dragon's roars as they fly through the sky are very impressive and sound extremely realistic. However, the weapon sound effects can be lacking in some areas, as some weapons don't sound as brutal as they should be, such as war axes and maces.
Addictiveness
Once you get the game going, you'll immediately be immersed into it, and you'll want to continue playing over and over until you make every possible different choice. However, upon beating the main quest line, most of the other quest lines are seriously lacking. With only short doses of entertainment and the game gets really repetitive, especially with quest lines such as the Civil War quest, which you don't really get to experience the large and land-breaking war you hear all of the NPCs speak about, but never actually see. You only see the results, which is seriously disappointing. Once you beat the all of the guild quest lines, the main story and the civil war, even though there are lots of other quest lines, most of them are repetitive and generic. And most follow the same format, "Hi, I need you to get this for me. Okay, now that you've gotten me this, come with me so we can fight some more Draugr. Now that we've fought more Draugr, lets fight some more. Thanks for you help, here's a handful of gold and an item you'll likely find useless." And the guild quest lines are fun for awhile, but all of them end the same way, with you being the leader of all of them. After completing the 5 or so big quest lines, you'll probably not be doing much in vanilla Skyrim.
Story
The story in this game is great (At least the main questline's story). It fits well within the Elder Scrolls games and serves as a great way to experience fighting dragons in a world that is in huge danger. It's a great way to feel like a powerful dragon slaying powerhouse in an immersive world. There isn't much else to tell about it.
Depth
There is a lot of side quests to do, some that focus more on magic like the College of Winterhold quest lines, or ones that focus on being a warrior and a werewolf, which is what the Companions Quest lines offer. However, all of the other small quests are boring and repetitive, which has you exploring a dungeon to fight some Draugr over and over, and fight some strong Draugr at the end, which then rewards you with some good loot at lower levels, but poor loot for higher levels. Upon hitting level 50+, it was common to see iron armor and leather armor in the game, when the more reasonable armor in the game would be able to obtain things such as Ebony, Daedric, or smith your own Dragon Bone and Dragon Scale armor. There are tons of dungeons to explore with quite a few different plot twists at the end, that give great rewards in terms of gold and other types of loot.
Difficulty
This game is very easy. Simply put. Putting the game on a higher difficulty did not make the A.I any smarter in anyway, just made them take more hits and deal more damage. No smarter tactics are used except with the occasional bosses at the end of a dungeon, that still are very repetitive and easy to beat. Anything lower than the hardest difficulty has enemies getting hit quickly, you quickly racking up mass amounts of gold, and storing a ton of worthless gear in your chests at home or selling it all off. The dragons are very repetitive as they have the same fight pattern, and it's only difficult if you're a knight. If you're a mage, then dragon fights are the easiest battles since your spells that you've likely learned by now are expert level and can deal a lot of damage to the dragons, as all they do is fly around in circles and occasionally land in order to attack you. When NPCs battle the dragons however, the dragon swoops down and breaths fire or ice, or may grab them and fly away with their body. You don't get to experience this nearly as much since the Dragons normally stop moving and breathe fire or ice, and don't really change their A.I. After awhile, you'll start to groan at the thought of fighting yet another dragon, since they don't have a great AI that makes them challenging. And the Draugr, which is basically the main enemies in the game at this point, are the worst offenders of this. You only fight about 4 different Draugr, then 2 different variations of a Draugr boss. All of them have the same AI except for the mages, who follow a slightly altered mage AI. The only difference is the weapons they use, or the amount of hits they can take. The Draugr aren't the only repetitive and easy enemies in the game, most often on the road you'll encounter wolves, who are incredibly easy on every difficulty and I've fought them at least one time every time I've played. They get extremely annoying to fight. Inside caves you'll more than likely fight Frostbite Spiders. These spiders are just as annoying to fight as Draugr, since they're the 2nd most appearing enemies when exploring dungeons or caves. There are only 3 types of spiders. That's it. A small one, a big one, and a wounded big one. They're all easy. The big ones don't have that much more health than the smaller ones. There are still difficult enemies you face however, such as spirits in some levels that seem to at some times have more health than dragons do. The ghosts and spirits are sponges but do have a more difficult AI, and so do the guards in all of the holds, as they will likely block more and interrupt your attacks. Unlike with Dragur which will just swing their sword at you forever until you die and maybe do a shout they pushes you back slightly, but means nothing in the end since you're still able to continue hitting them. All in all, the difficulty in this game is nothing special. Enemy AI is not that great except for bosses.
Overall
Skyrim is a good game, and you should check it out for at least 1 playthrough. Though if you're planning on doing more than that, you might wanna install some external modification to your game unless you want you game to get stale and repetitive after a few hours of your 1st or 2nd playthrough.
