tornadocam : We're pretty sure my brother has Aspergers, so while I can't empathize, I sure can sympathize. Good luck.

I'm not technically afraid of socialization itself, I'm afraid of rejection and judgement. I have a very pessimistic and cynical attitude toward humanity in general. I know I would likely judge me for the things I say and do, because I'm doing it in my head, so what stops someone else for doing it?

Not sure if that's how other people see it, or if it's just me. But that's my reasoning. It's why I only really become social in the hospital and in certain programs. They're not ALLOWED to judge you, they get in trouble for it. As long as no one judges me out loud, I'm usually fine. Even mild corrections can set my anxiety off. Never mind open mockery on a subject I hold close to my heart.

That's why I don't talk offline. If I don't know the person online, it's not like I'm likely to see them again. And even when I do, my superiority takes control and I don't CARE what they think because I think they're idiots themselves. Here, judgement really isn't a thing. On games I play, I don't care about their opinion. But that all seems to change when I set foot in the non-virtual world.

I got more than a warm welcome, someone was kind enough to help me toward getting the Playstation item. It's so fun! I'll definitely be active here for a long time.

Stereotypes are a killer. That's the gender issue. You can either be a Feminist or a Stepford Wife. Each is basically cornered into believing and being shown to believe one thing or another. The chivalry thing is a stereotype set by Stepford Wives that men should be chivalrous.

In my mind, equality would either be no stereotype whatsoever or everyone is allowed to stereotype everyone to their hearts content without persecution from one side or another. I prefer the latter. Stereotypes were ingrained into us for evolutionary and survival purposes anyway.

thing1 : That's actually really easy to explain. First, what you were told about agnostics is right as far as I know. Second, an agnostic is a person that could convert to any religion in a religious person's eyes. If they convert you to their religion, they've saved you from a "wrong" religion.

Lemme preface this by saying that I believe in a higher power, but I'm against organized religion on the premise that it's a political ploy to gain power.

To answer your question, look back to early man. We had no explanation for, well, anything. Because we didn't have the technology to figure it out, we came up with theories. These tended to revolve around "some power that knows more than us". Some people believed this to be false, but many more believed that they were wrong. The people that believed in the higher power did what most people who decide that they're right do in a group, they attack the minority and made them a bad group. Because this was before the modern mindset, it was okay.

So for thousands of years, people believed in this higher power. Different people wanted to worship it differently and call it different names. They didn't like each other, but atheists were hated most of all.

Why were they hated? Well, first, look back to your childhood. Remember the oh-so-original "my dad can beat up your dad" fight? Our parents were the best approximation we had to a God. They took loved us, sheltered us, fed us, and we lived in fear of their rage. Sound familiar? Now how did you feel when you were first told that your parents weren't perfect and in charge of the world? Kind of on par with the Santa thing.

That's the reasoning. No one likes having the core of their existence questioned. Religion and spirituality are huge factors in our lives. We live our lives by a moral code created in order to get into an afterlife. If that didn't exist, what do we have? We have literally nothing, because our lives were lies and our future after death is unknown.

Atheists are frowned on in society because they're literally a wild card. Jews believe that after death, they'll go to their afterlife. They're covered as long as they bow down to this higher power. Christians took it farther, and added in that if they weren't perfect in their worship and life, they'd be thrown into a torture realm for eternity. I'm not sure about the Islamic faith, if I understand, they believe that if they go to heaven they will live in paradise and if they go to hell, they'll be punished for their transgressions until the punishment is up and they're sent to paradise.

Atheists, to a religious person, could either be completely wrong and they're going to hell, or right and the religious person is wrong. As I explained, they can't handle that. A code you've lived your life by is not easily broken.

That kind of paradox is forbidden by nature. God doing that would end up having to write in a loophole prophecy kind of thing. Even He couldn't lift it, but someone else could. Greek mythology is full of that stuff.

But yeah, paradoxes are possible in theory, but not in practice. Nature rebels against them. I think it's like dividing by zero, you'd create a black hole or something and destroy reality.

Don't destroy reality, get Direct TV.

That's not brainwashing at all.

Anarchy would be the absence of any kind of government or law whatsoever. Every person would be out for themselves, there wouldn't even be familial bonds.

I don't think it'd work. Imagine if from the day you were born, you had to fight everyone- even your brother- for existence. I don't even think it'd be possible for total anarchy, people are programmed to, well, bow down to whoever is stronger and can protect them. What would actually work better is family units. No government over them, but the word of your family elders is law. Or the law of the strongest, I don't know. It would regress us back thousands of years, but frankly I don't see that as a bad thing. We could do with a lower population, and less of an ability to drain the Earth of it's resources. No, I'm not a hippy, but I do recognize that we're consuming resources faster than we can really replace them. If we were back to, say,the bronze age, with no memory of modern age to mope over, we'd be a lot happier.

I say that in particular because there'd be a lot less mental illness. Most of it nowadays is boredom. ADHD, ADD, depression, and mania can be combated if you're too busy with near death to worry about it!

I love these! There's a simple answer every time!

Every president sucks, and it's actually not their help. Their so bound up by checks and balances in what they can do, that they're stuck! If they try to break from the checks and balances, they're breaking the constitution. If they don't, they're called useless.

Also, look at George Washington. Lots of people hated him, lots of people adored him, and a hundred years down the road, he was an example to be followed. Name one president that was adored in office, but hated down the road. There are none!

Everyone messes up in office, there's no way around that. We will be doomed to hate them while they're there, and love them when someone else shows up because the different perspective is nice until it conflicts with our beliefs. There's no pleasing everyone because everyone is unique in their views. Especially in a country this big.

Personally, I'm a proponent of the Greek city-states model. Make every state it's own little bubble with it's own laws, maybe with rules over every state, but I'm against that. The people IN THE STATE can decide what they want. Common Core Education wouldn't exist because we'd personalize it to a smaller group. There wouldn't be one person in charge of a huge country, there'd be fifty people in charge of fifty different territories. Trade would be a thing, and skirmishes, but hopefully no full blown war. And if another country went after us, we'd band up like the Athenians and Greeks during the war with the Persians, beat them senseless, and go back to sniping over football!

Marijuana ought to be legal and taxed like cigarettes, and I have really good reasons why.

Looking at Colorado in particular, the taxes that went to the schools in what I think was a few months was a couple million. Taking the money from marijuana sales, even ten percent, is a huge boost.

Also, the girl scouts would go on sooooo many trips if they just set up shop near the dispensaries. This has been proven, look it up.

Contrary to popular belief, it's not going to kill your lungs like tobacco. There's less additives, it's just the plant. It's also been proven that continued moderate to mild use will improve lung function. It will drop at first, but it will pop up fairly quickly.

Also, Prohibition. You'll notice that when alcohol was banned, illegal sales went insane, and crime rates got huge. When it got legal again, crime rates dropped again and the sales died. If we make things illegal and "bad", the younger generation just takes a bigger interest in it. Especially when they decide to rebel. Someone raised with less taboos will have a harder time rebelling because there's nothing to rebel against. If your parents are taking everything and making it common knowledge, you can only rebel by making them considered immoral, which makes the next generation think it's so cool. That generation then becomes the common kno- you see my point.

You may ask, why don't they just rebel every other generation? You're close, but it doesn't quite work that way, the cycles are random. More than likely what will happen with this is marijuana becoming completely legal and normal until someone finds a corrupted (or completely honest) reason to make it a bad thing again, and the cycle will repeat!

Back to reasons.

You also literally CANNOT overdose. You will get sick and purge it from your body before you can get close.

This last bit is a mix of fact and opinion. It can cause cancer, it raises your odds, but here's where the opinion starts: I don't care. I really don't. So much gives you cancer nowadays that trying to avoid it is nearly impossible. Not to mention, I'd rather live life doing fun things and die earlier than eighty. After sixty eight, life just doesn't seem worth living if you aren't rich and able to travel. Why isn't life measured in what you did right instead of the years in which you screwed up?

Deep question, I like!

I'm actually not looking for the "love of my life *swoon*". I'm looking for an intellectual equal I can debate with, not argue.

I've asked one guy out, and at the time, it worked well. Unfortunately, I think it was my "bad boy" stage, so that didn't end up well. For the time it worked, however, it was great! We were the leaders in what basically amounted to Lord of the Flies. Only, you know, Ralph is still alive and pig heads weren't talking to us. They were deer bones, actually...

ANYWAY!

When I ask anyone out, gender really not mattering, I'm looking for someone I can talk to about intellectual or emotional things. I don't do it for love, I'm so jaded that it doesn't exist to me. I'm looking for someone I can spend the next few moments of my life with. Best friend with the benefits of claiming a romantic relationship!

I tend to look for people who share common interests, like gaming and reading. I swear, if I found someone who read Dark-Hunter, played video games, RPed, and could discuss Doctor Who with a straight face, I'd cry. Because in about two seconds I'd be waking up.

One thing is for sure, when I date, I'm not looking for a spouse. I'll never be looking for a spouse, because I never want to marry. It ruins everything. It's like what happens when you hear the word "work", you give up and make excuses. If I could stay with someone forever and not have to run through that particular, I would be so happy.

Asking for Viz is allowed?!?! This site is Katateros! *Ahem* Anyway...

Yeah, I'm asking for Viz. I'm trying to get two 50,000 as quickly as possible because I want to at least SEE if I can play Playstation games. I'm on the hunt for a game, driven by nostalgia, and it's driving me insane.

I plan on donating money to this site, but because it's an exact transaction and not something that gives you bonus Viz for more money donated, I won't be able to do it for *Whistles* five weeks, at least. I COULD wait that long, but that old demon Nostalgia is driving me insane.

If you'd prefer not to donate, all is well! Thanks for reading!

Oh, and, soon as I get Playstation abilities, I'll still be donating for Viz to donate to others on a gift basis kind of thing. Even if no one donates to me, I'll be doing this. At least five weeks from now.

I've been rambling, G'BYE!

Hate to do it, but I'm asking mods about this. It's driving me up the wall.

Well, I love this site. Love the idea, love the chance to play my favorite games without trudging to the game room and leaving the comfort of my own room. I do wish they had Digimon World, but beggars cannot and should not be choosers.
My only problem is that my plugin is apparently not being found. Any ideas, anyone?
