Now, I'm not gonna go all annoying on this one, but The World Warrior AKA vanilla is a quite early and buggy version of SF2(tried it out on the emulator, the hitboxes are horrible in general AND we can't play mirror matches), while SF2:Turbo is generally considered to be the best version(tried this as well, it runs quite smooth). So I'd say, let's play on this one instead:

Also, yeah, it's more like I "was" his mentor. Nowadays we just beat each other the best we can. In Blazblue I'm currently better, but it really shifts back-and-forth depending on who put if more effort at getting better at their character, or who's generally in a worse mood.

Yeah I am. There weren't many people playing at the time, so he might be still a noob if I didn't teach him the basics.

I met him on Xbox Live while playing Blazblue. I taught him how to play.

As you guys might guess, I'm not always a man of words(or rather sometimes I spew them out en-masse but other times it has to be dragged out with pliers).

I got my name from Code Geass before it got well known, after that I had another case of "dammit my name got common yet again". Generally I'm not very good at making up original names, I've tried for a while, even today I wanted to get a new gamertag on xbox live and someone already had the exact same for quite a while, so that wasn't too original either. I like anime and also read manga, my list is quite long so I won't indulge too much on that, but it ranges from popular ones like Naruto and Dragonball Z to really obscure ones like TTGL.

Originally I was dragged here by force by our dear moderator Frodlex, but I saw the nice collection of games and the forums so I decided to check it out a bit closer.

I had a GameBoy Advance as my first source of video games, so that should narrow down a bit the kind of games I played for a long time. I see I'm not the only Pokemon fan on the forum, but gotta say, I'm one of those old pops who swear on the original 151. Gen 3 was my first game(technically it was a Yellow, but I didn't have a GameBoy to play it on properly), that was still fine, but gen 4 was pushing it for me. I haven't bought Black/White. My other favorites that come from the GBA era are Golden Sun(best rpg ever imo), MegaMan Zero and the myriad of Metroidvania style games(including Metroid and Castlevania of course). Also a big Final Fantasy fan, I played all of them so far besides X and the MMOs. I completed I, II and XIII-1-2(damn those games are long).

Nowadays I mostly play fighting games, both old-school(Street Fighter and the like) and new-school(Guilty Gear, Blazblue, etc), but mostly new-school. It's just faster for me. I really like games that reward player experience instead of time put in the game(eg. the in-game character might be loaded with endgame gear, but an experienced player is just as good with using a starter character) like Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. I can easily put hundreds of hours into those kind of games. I really don't like sports games, except snowboarding ones, even those only because I don't get to go snowboarding very often. I find most MMOs pointless and don't really play FPS games either. Due to my lack of experience my aim is kind of horrible as well.

I guess that's a lot of information at once, if you have any questions, I'm glad to answer.

PS : This forum interface is just awesome. I get really lost when I get so much control over how my stuff looks, so it's possible I'll sit in front of GIMP for hours.
