The first episode I watched was Friendship is Magic part 1. I didn't even noticed it was a two-part episode until I saw To Be Continued... at the end of the video. I only meant to check out one episode "to see what all the fuss is about."

zanderlex : I have purchased from Humble Bundle (best place), Groupees, Bundlestars, and Indiegala (all sites are .com). Be careful though; just because the bundles are cheap it does not mean the games are worth it. I have possibly bought 3 bundles or more that I regret. Stay away from G2a. That site has been rather suspicious from what I have heard.

My account shouldn't be this high. I regret purchasing several bundles. $2,456 at retail, $790 on sale. No way have I paid nearly that much. 56% (136 our of 242) of games have not been played. Actually, I would dare say more than that because some I tried and found out my laptop is incapable of making them enjoyable.

I use Steam on an almost daily basis. Sales, games, community, the whole thing. I always find something to do on Steam, even if I have to force my phone to take the desktop version of the sites.

How the heck does time fly so fast? Just when we thought we could soar along side it, it dive bombs out of sight! Always good to have you around here still, leggy.

Haven't been big on movies lately. The premise here sounds quite believable, though as to whether I'll want to watch it is something else. I never really enjoy scenarios of people getting in over their heads. Nevertheless, I do hope this one succeeds.

My current laptop could have been an HP had it not failed to have decent wifi strength. Instead I have had this Toshiba now for the past 16 months.

I am in the mood to try a new layout. This time, I want a layout centered on the game Dust: An Elysian Tail like this image here unless you can find something even nicer. If you use the image I linked, I want a scroll bar within the post. Have a box that stands out slightly from the background image to ensure that all text is visible without hurting the look overall. Hopefully these instructions make sense. The minimum I will gave for this is 1,000 Viz, more if you (successfully) find and use a better image. Thanks in advance.

Before actually getting into the review itself, I want to first acknowledge two important things.

1. I have come to loathe the practice of giving a rating of any kind to video games. I find them arbitrary.
2. I own this game for the PC, not the Xbox 360. I did attempt to play this game with a game controller, and the time I did so the controls were just as responsive as they were with a keyboard and mouse.

Now then, on with the review.

Not even 15 minutes before I started writing this did I beat the game a second time, finish with 100%, and earn all but one (Steam) achievement. Despite the fact that this says I love this game, I will acknowledge that it isn't perfect. Let's get started, shall we?

First things first, for those of you who are uneasy about the anthropomorphic creatures this game centers on, I can personally assure you that the characters in here are safe for all ages. The worst you'll notice is some language, yet even this is used rather lightly –almost not at all.

The way the story is executed leaves me little to say in here without giving spoilers. You play as Dust who has woken up in glade with no memory of who he is. A talking sword called The Blade of Ahrah as well as the sword's little guardian, Fidget, accompany him on his journey of self-discovery. Because of this kind of story, there is a lot of dialogue to go through. Whether you can enjoy that or not I cannot determine. Personally, I loved it. All of the characters had personality, and it was well brought out with the voice actors hired. The only exception to this, and this depends on your own perspective, would be Fidget. Her squeaky voice and quirky personality will either be a hit or miss. On a separated note, the only technical flaw was that the voice actors didn't use the same equipment.

So, on to the gameplay. The majority of your attacks will be with the use of your sword. Even though Fidget provides some ranged combat, it will end up feeling like a brawler. The controls are very responsive. The actual difficulty of this game may feel a bit low, and this is something I had to find out for myself during my second playthrough. A wide variety of items are dropped by slayed enemies, some more common than others, but all have their uses for crafting augments (for Ahrah), armor, pendants, and rings –of which the last you can wear two. These items can enhance, or in a few cases weaken, your attack, defense, luck (chance of a critical hit), and Fidget's power. Overall, very solid.

The artistic side of this game is probably what can put it above many others. The artwork in here is stunning to say the least. You might find yourself staring at anything and everything in this game. It has all been hand-drawn by the one and only member of developer Humble Hearts, Dean Dodrill. The soundtrack is likewise stellar. Most tracks were created by the Northern Ireland duo Hyperduck Soundworks with a few others done by Funky Rustic, a.k.a. Alex Brandon. The only times I felt the soundtrack was lacking was during the majority of boss fights, though even this is more so of my expectations. I still listen to this game's soundtrack very often when I'm doing my weekly chores. Challenging for me to find something I enjoy as much as this.

Fireworks are not illegal in Pennsylvania, but there are heavy regulations on them. Stores are not allowed to sell three particular kinds of fireworks, any you can't use a lot of legal ones without a permit.

Sounds like you are brand new to the fandom. Welcome to the pony side; we've got friendship. haha So, favorite pony... most likely Twilight Sparkle due to the number of quirks we share. We're neatnicks, almost OCD; we enjoy reading; we both possess leadership skills; we want to do the best we possibly can. There's more than just what I've listed here, though I must admit that they are rather personal --or maybe I'd be a bit embarrassed to say them.

I am actually headed to Bronycon this year! This will mark a couple of firsts for me: 1) This will be the first public pony-related gathering I will ever attend, and 2) this will be the first convention I have ever attended. If the two points I just mentioned haven't indicated anything, I really do not know what to expect when I do go down to Baltimore on August 1st-3rd. Still it is going to be an experience I will not forget. Is there anyone else going?
