I think that it aged horribly. The gameplay is slow and buggy, there's no auto-targeting system in case the whole party is aiming at one enemy and that enemy dies, but the music and graphics are acceptable for NES.

Plot
Final Fantasy wins this category by a long shot. Pokémon games have never been known for their deep and intricate storytelling. Black and White versions, along with their sequels, probably have plots on par with Final Fantasy 3/4.

Graphics
I prefer the Pokémon art style over Final Fantasy games, but most Final Fantasy games after 6 had amazing graphics, so it's a tie for me.

Gameplay
Pokémon has a wider variety of attacks and party members to choose from, but the turn-based battle style feels sluggish sometimes. Sometimes, though, it's nice to only have a few people possible to control, so that they level up more evenly and allows character development, like in Final Fantasy. I think Pokémon wins this category solely because of how complicated the game can be with EVs and IVs and such.
