Was the -446000 Viz worth it for your username change to "dark mode"? Also..... why?

Lexatom : This is going to be an unexpectedly long answer but... My favorite color is blue half the time, but sometimes it varies by my mood. For instance, I might prefer darker blue at night and brighter blue during the day. The reason I like blue most of the time is that I'm often fascinated by the ocean & sky and I also love swimming. (plus I see the sky everyday everywhere I go out lol)

When I get stressed out from school or the city, my favorite color might be green when I try to think about peaceful nature. (usually a relaxing forest with a waterfall) And also blue might kick in again for, let's say the beach ocean/sky. I might also think about space and then prefer darker shades of those colors. But the theme of my profile is mostly darkish green because I was extremely stressed out from school at night while making my theme. lol

Sometimes I also like the color of Latte/Cappuccino/Coffee during the early morning because I can never start my day without at least one of them lol.

TDV- No, I do not like the TDV anymore, although I used to. I'm also not competing. Probably my main gripe is how activity/contributions should come naturally from genuinely enjoying the actions rather than forcing it. It just kinda turns a forum for having conversations into a battle arena for jerseys.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm NOT saying I dislike those who compete lol. No that's not it at all. I'm just not the kind of person to compete anymore. I like to do things on my own pace only when I feel really passionate enough to do it, but others can feel a genuine passion for the TDV so I think there's nothing wrong with competing.

The last time I really competed was long ago when the red jersey was the biggest post of the day and green was like most 30+ word posts in the hour or something. A few years ago I actually won the old red jersey for the month. It was pretty fun at first, but then I found it to be more stressful/pressuring than fun as I began to force myself to make game reviews rather than doing it because I enjoyed reviewing the games I like.

My favorite family vacation was going to universal studios in Florida. The rides were really fun and felt suitable for my age at the time. I can't clearly remember it, but I know there were lots and lots to do/go to, my family never got bored. There was also an awesome water park as well. I tried to remember it but all I can think of was Harry Potter. The Harry Potter themed walking area and if I remember correctly, 4D movie was awesome, almost like you're in a whole new world.

zanderlex : Mainly 3 things: Winter break (no school for the holidays), my curiosity after seeing moderators getting demoted / the voting thing, and my real life college friends live very far away from me (and we're off-campus during breaks) so I don't have much to do at home.

yoshirulez! : I played some of Sonic Mania recently (PC & not plus). So far I completed a bad ending with Knuckles. (I didn't get all the chaos emeralds and I heard you have to play as Sonic for some true ending) But Knuckles is really my favorite Sonic character, especially with his gliding and climbing. I hope to complete it later when I got time. So I'm still into Sonic games lol. I have not tried Sonic Forces so I'm not sure.

Barathemos : Yes, I always wanted to major in CS. My childhood was literally nothing but me breaking an old Windows 98 machine so it just kinda became a part of me in a way as I grew up. I didn't really have any childhood friends as I was always bullied by everyone before entering College.  My experimentation with software also started my interest in doing research, which I heard is the main course of action for doing a Ph.D. which is why I went for becoming a Ph.D. student. Of course, the research process is more complicated than experimentation (related work, algorithm, paper formatting, etc) but it's a big part of it to me. I tried a college undergraduate research experience in the summer and it was like a dream job, getting paid to research and given free housing without a roommate, and my friends were on campus as well so I still got to hang out with them and they had a car so it got really fun. And it all worked out into me becoming a first author of my very own peer-reviewed work (which I showed you the link already) which I presented in an international conference in Spain, and traveling there alone was surprisingly fun as well.

My minor is in Mathematics. The courses I already took just happened to greatly overlap with the Math minor requirements so doing a Math minor was very easy for me, I just have to take like 2 extra courses that were very beneficial for becoming a Ph.D. student (linear algebra and differential equations). However, I don't think I would ever major in Mathematics if CS wasn't there, I'm just not interested in Math alone enough to do that. But if I had time, I would've wanted to try more Statistics and Data Science so maybe I would do a mix of Stats, Data Science, and Math.

tgags123 : My biology skills are really bad for me to know the extreme specifics and I'm too lazy to google now lol Sorry. But I think I would want to be some kind of eagle. I would be strong and able to fly around to discover/travel the world. I generally love to travel alone to be free to discover/explore things but I usually don't have the time/opportunity to do it. But the couple of times I did, it was so freaking fun. I just want to travel alone without worrying about the convenience of people who accompany me. Of course, I'd still want to hang out with family and friends at the same time, but sometimes I just want to be free/alone.

In light of the previous admin username color, I was a crappy bootleg pirated knockoff.

But now that they've changed their color, that makes me a former crappy bootleg pirated knockoff.

geeogree : I'm not really sure, I'm pretty happy where I currently live in the US. It's possible my opinion might change if I were to take a tour around the entire world, but it's hard for me to tell right now if that's true. But after my last semester in college, I will probably travel to a lot of different places as a Ph.D. student for international research conferences so it's possible my opinion might change later.

As for research conference travels, I already went to Spain to present my first research publication, and I really enjoyed exploring the area but I don't think I would prefer living there over my current location. I seemed to enjoy the aspect of traveling alone there, I just felt so free. Also felt very strange as I initially thought I feared being alone. I also went to a South Korea study abroad and my opinion is more or less the same as my trip to Spain.

But if I wanted to visit anywhere right now, I would go to Japan for Universal Studios' Dragon Ball Z 4D movie but I don't know if I would want to live there (over my current location).

I also always had an interest in going scuba diving and also swimming in freshwater springs which my current location lacks, but I never took the time to research on the best place(s) to do so.

Eniitan : It feels great. I'm very glad the globals approved it. It's just very fun to answer questions from the community, especially crazy ones. (which might turn into meaningful conversations alongside other things, or maybe some random joke at least) I'm very ready for crazy questions, but I hope I actually get lots and lots of crazy questions!

Theoretically speaking, yes, this should be Ask Mohammedroxx3 Anything. However, I wondered if efficiency was preferred over pure theory, thus, I excluded the roxx3.

Hard to say I have one favorite video game. It really varies for me. I'm no serious gamer but I like a lot of the retro games like sonic games for the sega genesis, some mame/arcade games like Pacman, Mappy, Galaga, etc. I also liked ratchet and clank (and also going commando), dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 2 for the PS2, Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP. That's all I can remember at the top of my head.

I like those spicy chicken noodle soup cups (I forgot the brand) and those pizzas that you microwave. (I guess those counts as processed foods)

I like corn and rice thus I like grains. Oh and also whole wheat bread.

Of course, the desire died down as I was inactive for sometime, but it came back as soon as I came back from the dead. I actually had one approved so long ago as a trusted member, but it got moved to a restricted forum and now it's stuck there so here's this new public one open to the whole community.

Oh yes! My parents got me a new ThinkPad x1 extreme laptop, much more powerful than my last ThinkPad laptop. They sort of got it as a gift for my first Computer Science Ph.D. program acceptance letter and it's funded so I'd be able to pay them back anyway. But I guess the timing counts for Christmas as well. The acceptance letter probably counts in a way too.

So if I'm understanding Furret's post correctly, my most active time is 6 pm EST. (or 5 pm Vizzed time)

That actually makes no sense with my current schedule because, on non-winter/non-summer break days, I would be working as a programming tutor at 6 pm EST. (I would never be on Vizzed while tutoring) Interesting. 

But that does align well with my schedule back when I was in high school because normally my high school ends around 4 pm then after eating dinner with my family and doing homework, I would come on Vizzed 6 pm.

That might only mean that I made the majority of my posts when I was in high school. Considering I became inactive as soon as I went to college, that would make sense. 

The scroll bar seems to appear in my layout even though I'm not using any very big words, so I guess that makes my layout bad now. (it was designed more for the old site layout where I can stretch my wallpaper to cover my entire post including the left side which has my level/userpic and the right side which has my rank/custom title, I really miss being able to do that)

But the current layout editor is somewhat broken so I'm afraid to edit/fix it. I heard that the preview thing doesn't work and after editing your layout, the site won't allow you to post for the first few times. (or the threads might look glitched/awkward because of it) Maybe not a big deal after some trial/error, but I consider it a kinda medium priority because at least half the users use layouts while the other half disables it. I could be wrong though.
