Well sadly enough? They probably are. Humanity has a terrible habit of not knowing when enough is enough. Chances are they are test running an AI as we speak. All the movies where AI's are controlling things? They stem from the fears of man, our government however has a VERY nasty habit of going 'This is a bad idea... But we can TOTALLY pull it off.' Best example of that? The Atom Bomb. Everyone knew what it was capable of, knew the horrors it would cause. They just didn't care at the time, all they cared about was being the first to use it. To make it known 'we aren't playing around anymore guys quit it.' And while yes, it worked. It also had TERRIBLE repercussions. The damage from the Atom bomb while physically may go away entirely, the scars it left on lives and families, let alone the entire country of Japan, will never fade. The best we can do at this point is hope, and I use that word in the sense that we are wasting our time, that our government, China, or even Japan, shut down any programs to do with something so potentially dangerous at the first sign of a hitch. Whether it be AI, or the next WMD. I know I'd be asking for a lot there however. As Rcarter said, this is nothing near the same. Closest to AI we have are in video games really. And even those are NOWHERE near the level of what it would take for a computer rebellion. At best? And it's not going to happen for MANY MANY years... Our video game AI's get advanced enough to control the entire mechanic of their game... However that DOES sound rather horrid... Imagine playing Mario... And suddenly? A Koopa gets the star power! DOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!!! But yeah, the likely hood of a robot such as Big Dog, or unmanned drones becoming excessively intelligent and going Terminator, Geth, or Cylon? Slim to none. |

I'm about 6'3 and usually the tallest where ever I go. Unless my brother is with me, then I'm usually the second tallest. My brother stands at 6'5 or 6'7 I can't remember which, but he's extremely tall. However where he is lanky and thin, like a string bean. I'm a bit thicker. Broader shoulders and more definition. He's the type to sit at work and play on his phone then come home and watch T.V. where I do more physical work and spend more time at the gym. So, no matter which of us you see, it doesn't matter our build, the height alone seems to intimidate a lot of people despite the fact it's well known if you are respectful so are we ha ha. |

If it's a religious stand point we are taking on this then who's to say, even with it as a sin, a man who loves another man is wrong for doing so? All men are equal, that's a standing in both the bible and the government. So by this standing and the fact that God is forgiving and I'd like to believe understanding, would he not forgive said men who love one another unconditionally as any man loving a woman would? Or vice versa? If two women are to love one another, it's different to men. We are all for it. However two men? That's another story then it's the screams of hate, the accusations of eternal damnation. The bible clearly states adultery is a sin, yet millions of men and women, Christians included, will have an affair. The same people will turn right around and throw homosexuality onto a crucifix. It is not up to us as humans to judge nor condemn. Should when a homosexual man or woman pass, they be judged as sinners, unfit for salvation, leave that to the man up stairs. As humans put upon this earth by God we are told to love one another correct? So how can we hate one for a sin when we commit just as many as they, it may not be the same sin, may not be in the same manner. However some where along the line of our lives we all have sinned, some form or another. If you believe in your heart in the words of God and Jesus Christ, is that not what you were meant to do? Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. - Romans 15:7 It is not up to us as humans to judge nor condemn. My first job was officially working on my uncles ranch. I used to feed the animals and help tend crops when I was younger and then at about 15 or so I started training to break horses. After that I started riding bulls. That part wasn't exactly part of the job, but it paid if I placed well. Unofficially I mowed grass, painted houses, and so on to earn a bit extra as a kid. I came from a family that pretty much if you wanted something, you earned it. Happens in big families I guess, growing up in Texas I had plenty of opportunities. While I don't still work on the ranch it was passed down to me when my uncle passed away so I guess I do still kind of work on it. If it does count then... All my life no matter what else I was doing? I made time to help him out any time. One of the best jobs I could recommend to any one. It isn't easy, days are long and hot, but you'll never have a better relationship with others on the job then you do on a farm or ranch, civilian work wise anyways. |

Personally I smoke and drink, really shouldn't be doing either. But if I had to choose one to give up and one to keep... I'd keep the drinking, mostly because it's not AS bad for me and I'm better at pacing myself with alcohol than tobacco. Plus I think my doctors would appreciate that choice more ha. I like to think I don't NEED either, but after a long day a beer or two is nice, and well... Okay maybe I'm addicted to the nicotine. Darn you big tobacco darn you! |

Last movie I saw was last night, I watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Great western. It's one of those movies that no matter how many times you watch it? You'll still love it. If you haven't seen it? Get on it! |

sonicmcmuffin : You set the building on fire didn't you? Weirdest thing I've been asked to do was probably the time my cousin asked me to have a three-some with him and his girlfriend. He tried telling me it was the only way she'd stay with him or something. I told him he was better off with out her if that was her demand. Just not into the thought of a three some involving family... Weirdest thing I've been asked to do was probably the time my cousin asked me to have a three-some with him and his girlfriend. Well, I have a similar tattoo and issue with the tattoo ha. But the funniest I've seen was probably a friend of mine who after getting completely wasted decided to let his ex girlfriends over protective brother give him a tattoo. He ended up with pixie wings on each shoulder just above the bicep. It's great coloring though, even some pixie dust around them ha. Moral of this story? Don't get drunk and let the over protective brother of the girl you cheated on and left give you a tattoo. Though he did come up with a story that some how works. When asked why he has them he says he got them for his niece. While myself and any one who really knows him is well aware of how that's utter B.S. he pulls it off and girls do the "Ooh that's so sweet." Other than that? I saw a tattoo of Wolverine riding on a My Little Pony on Google once. |

My favorite comic was always the Wolverine comics, mostly Old Man Logan and back. I recently picked up a newer issue and sadly I seemed to have lost my love for it. I'm not sure why, it just all seems so different, like they are trying to make him into the movie version. So, now I'm kind of fond of the Star Wars comics. For manga's? I'm going to go ahead and say Bleach. I kind of like the whole idea of the Shinigami being what they are in the manga/anime. Having read about traditional Shinigami in Japanese lore? It's cool to see them in that light. Regardless of whether it is all kind of ridiculous it's fun to see something so like yet so different from Dragon Ball Z. Though I was more a fan of Dragon Ball than Dragon Ball Z anyways ha. For manga's? I'm going to go ahead and say Bleach. Marine Corps. got to E-4 before I got out. Would have stayed in if I had my way, but good luck arguing a medical discharge. Schofield is pretty decent from what I've been told. Bud of mine was a dough boy. When he got sent there he said he loved it. But he likes strange things so who knows ha. |

Bar soap leaves a thin layer of film on your skin, kind of a grunge. And the bacteria of all the times you've used it stay on the soap, bacteria multiplies becoming more and more in time so every time you use a bar of soap? You are putting all the bacteria on your skin and despite the fact you are using soap and rinsing it off, that bacteria DOES cling to you. Liquid soap doesn't have that issue. Now even though I'm telling you how bar soap is pretty terrible? I use Lava Soap ha. I'm pretty sure it's the same issue as every other bar of soap, but some things get you so dirty regular soap doesn't cut it, like when I've worked on the car, or dug up a septic tank like I had to yesterday at my buds. Lava soap takes it all off with ease. And it has a much lighter scent than others soaps. So, bar soap despite the obvious issues. |

I have to laugh about this post to be honest. I was just complaining to a friend how if I wanted good strong coffee I had to make it myself. I drink at least three cups a day, black, no sugar, no creamer, and definitely no flavorings. Which makes it hard to get coffee at a convenient store or Starbucks it's always either too weak or flavored with some crap like honey nut crunch. I mean the sad part? People actually like it. Me? I'm a good old fashioned coffee flavored coffee kind of guy. Just can't beat the smell and the taste to help you wake up. |

I currently have two tattoo's the first I got on my 18th birthday it's on my left bicep/triceps. A tribal of a red Chinese dragon and a blue Chinese dragon on my triceps between them is the earth and on the back in the 'sissy spot' is a green flaming orb to represent the after life. The tattoo is to signify the constant conflict of good and evil on earth and where you will end up from the deeds, the afterlife. The second was a stupid mistake I made with my ex fiancée, a tattoo on my wrist of a key, she has the matching locket. I plan to have that one covered up. The next tattoo I intend to get will be my dog tags on my forearm and hand like rosary beads. Depending how much that costs me I may also get a wolf head pauldron on my right shoulder, not certain about that one yet however. |

Swearing is kind of a second nature for me. It's terrible I know, but life in the Corps. has kind of molded me to believe swearing is nothing more than words, words can't hurt you. Before I enlisted however I wouldn't swear if my life depended on it. I was always afraid my grandfather would magically know and beat me senseless ha. Even now however I know the time and place. I don't swear at church, around children or elderly people, and I keep my swearing to a minimal around strangers. I'll be the first to admit it slips on occasion. I won't even realize it. As if that wasn't bad enough, I've got friends who have a Swear off which even I find a bit moronic. All in all however I tend to have a good sense to stop, but around most family or friends they think I'm sick if I don't swear. |

Welcome, not sure what Transformice or Vindictus are, but if they don't have the original Pokémon games I don't want to know! Okay that was probably corny as well. Anyways, depending what systems you own, I may have some games to recommend, given you can't find them here that is. Ultimately, I think the Retro-Game room is your best bet for most of the games I'll suggest, I'm a sucker for the oldies. Regardless, welcome aboard and if you ever want to talk games and give each other suggestions, feel free to PM me! |

If you can get a hold of them I may have a few suggestions for you. Wolverine: Old Man Logan. This is probably one of the best Wolverine comics Marvel has put out in a long time. It's more than just the usual hack and slash they have now days. There's story, depth, and even actual emotion. Shocking to say the least ha. Anything X-force is pretty good, whether you are reading from the start or just picking up, it's usually pretty easy to follow and promises an extraordinary read, and the new ones of X-23 and Logan so, that's a plus. The Avengers comics, as long as you don't dabble in Avengers vs. X-men. Though you may like it, if you have read a lot of Marvel, Avengers vs. X-men will just have you going "What?! Are you kidding me?" However, usually the Avengers comics promise and deliver. If you can find them? I highly recommend the Vision and Scarlet Witch comics. They are a bit older, but completely worth the look, believe me I have the entirety of that series ha. There's many more for Marvel, but you may not be a Marvel guy so, on to DC! Nightwing comics are always good, they show the man Robin grew to be, the man tired of standing in the shadow of the Bat. He also tends to be a bit rougher while keeping a smile. Superboy comics preferably from the 90's but the new ones are looking pretty good so far as well. Green Lantern Corps. comics provide multitudes of entertainment, and unlike the horrible movie they made with the money hog Ryan Reynolds, these comics are packed to keep you on the edge of your seat until the next issue. The next suggestion may surprise you, but bare with me, there's a reason behind it.... Aquaman, in the cartoons and most common media, he's portrayed pretty wimpy, and not to mention he has a habit of seeming useless. I think the Justice League cartoon was the only one to get even close to the truth, that being that Aquaman is actually pretty bad ass. Let's put it simply, in one issue, Aquaman messed up a guys brain, physically, how? The fact every being on the land started out in the water, meaning far back in time we were all sea creatures. Aquaman took a part of the human mind that's still some what similar to when we were water dwellers, and just butchered his brain with his aquatic telepathy. That's just one of the more mild feats of being a bad mammer jammer. Having great whites attack his enemies and eating them alive? You better believe it. Fighting the Kraken? Oh yeah. Last but not least, and these may be harder to find depending if you go to an actual comic shop or not, but if you can I highly recommend Zatanna. She's a magician that's got ties to pretty much everyone in DC, and her comics always have diversity, the fact she dresses pretty skimpy helps. The comics I've suggested aren't for everyone, but those who give them the chance, nine times out of ten adore them. Hope I helped, and if you would like more suggestions just let me know. I love comics so, I have a large variety of a collection. Wolverine: Old Man Logan. This is probably one of the best Wolverine comics Marvel has put out in a long time.
