In a sense I am worried. I am hoping that I don't buy any this year but it's easy for me to get caught up in the hype of a game and then only play it for a few hours before I realize how unsatisfying video games are to me now that I know Christ. He is the only One who can bring peace and true joy, not just circumstantial happiness that video games bring.

The person below me is afraid of spiders.

Hey! I am sorry to hear that 2021 was so rough for you. These past few years have been rough on most people and it's especially hard because it's easy to feel isolated. Without Jesus I definitely would not have made it through this year. If you need to talk please don't hesitate to message me!

Hey! I was active on this forum about 10 years ago when I was 13 and was active for about a year. That is crazy that you have stuck around for so long! I am glad that you were able to find a community during the crazy years of being a kid, especially the teenage years lol. This really was a special place back in the day. Congratulations on graduating! Do you know what you are wanting to do after college?

Students of any grade or age I am wondering, how are you doing? These past few years have been rough on all of us. I graduated college in 2020 and it was certainly not the ending I hoped for. I didn't even get to walk across the stage for my graduation, I just received my diploma in the mail. I help out with our middle school and high school youth groups at the church I go to and I can see how tough it is on you all. So I just wanted to see how you all are doing and let you know that I am here to listen!

Hey man! I was very active on this forum roughly 10 years ago when I was like 13 so I don't think our paths ever crossed. I am only just now starting to get back on the site and definitely understand the burnout you're feeling. I used to post like crazy on here and now this is the first time I've even logged in since 2019. I am hoping to be active on here again and hope to see you around! Are you feeling burnout because of things going on in your personal life?

The last movie I saw in theaters was "The Batman". It is a completely different theme of movie than the Dark Knight Trilogy so it's hard to compare the two. It has much less action than the DKT but it makes up for it in a brilliant detective story and phenomenal acting. It's 3 hours long but doesn't feel nearly as long, at least the 1st time you watch it. I saw it twice and definitely felt it dragged a bit in the middle since I already knew everything that happened. Yet the acting and cinematography still made it great to watch. Robert Pattinson played a great Batman who is still struggling to find his role as the hero of Gotham and finally discovers it, albeit at a great cost. I'm not a huge Marvel fan. I think their movies are enjoyable and consistently great. When DC makes a great movie like this however, it blows any Marvel movie out of the water. Also how great is it that we can go to theaters again and enjoy great movies like this? Just 2 years ago we couldn't go anywhere and we were all wondering when we would get back to any sense of normal. Now we can once again see great movies like this and Spiderman: No Way Home in a theater of complete strangers and more importantly, with friends and family. I hope we are able to remember what we had lost during Covid and now what has returned that is truly important. Not movies but community.

Ah gotcha, yeah those are very different lol. Horror movies with comedy sprinkled in are actually excellent without them being satire but I'm not sure if that would translate well into writing though. Would definitely be an interesting read.

That is interesting! I try to write when I get the chance but it's hard for me to stay really committed. Do you guys write the same genre? Also do you guys bounce ideas off each other?

I just don't really see the need for a new one. I thought they wrapped the story up perfectly with the 3rd movie. And yeah aside from the trailer, which I only knew about from seeing it on Reddit, I haven't seen a single advertisement about it. It looks good but I just don't think people really care that there's a new one. The evil dummies look a lot like Slappy from "Goosebumps" so I am excited about that.

I don't play video games very often anymore but when I was big into them as a kid I loved Mount and Blade: Warband and Skyrim. I loved pretty much any game where you could progress and become more powerful the more you played the game. When I was in high school I loved playing Dead by Daylight. I was really big into horror movies and that game was the perfect storm for me during that phase. When they added Michael Myers I couldn't contain my excitement lol. When I do play games nowadays the one I usually turn to is the new Spiderman game. I have so much fun playing it. I'm only about halfway through it but I love the storyline so far.

Norriegirl93 : Thank you! And that's great to hear for you!

pennylessz : Thanks man! It definitely does. I felt so young back then but now I realize that almost everybody on Vizzed back then was my age. So to come back and see that most people still on here are around my age is amazing.

Have there been any critically acclaimed books or books that are popular around you that you read and were disappointed? I tried to read "Great Expectations" recently and I just couldn't get into it. I struggled to read it and eventually I just gave up on it. I might try to pick it up again sometime but not anytime soon.

Is there a post that explains Vizzed GO more in depth so I can learn about it? I honestly have no idea what's going on lol. Anything that makes the site more interactive and appealing is a great idea to me.

Welcome back! I too recently came back after years of being inactive. Activity has definitely slowed down a lot since my years of being on here but it's still a great place to be. I actually think it's better this way because you get to see the same faces around more often and allows you to get to know people better! If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to add me and shoot me a PM! Never been a music guy but I respect anyone who can play a piano, they're one of the most powerful instruments to me.
