Nah, I'll still compete, but the chances of me getting two jerseys from here on out, unless we get another super slow day.

It's crazy that users are able to get top spot in yellow jersey with only 700-800 words. Sadly enough though, that's become difficult to reach with how few new threads there are to post in. Outside of the first few days of the competition and the day I submitted a review, I've been struggling to even hit 600-700 words. Outside of making more reviews, the only way I could possibly remedy this is by making new threads. Even then though, hitting 1,000+ words would still be somewhat of a stretch given how dead things are.

It's so difficult to compete on school days so I'm glad my efforts paid off yesterday. Today I'm not competing because I have an AP Psych test and a physics test tomorrow and English homework to add to my studying. I hope to pick up the pace again this weekend since I'll have a lot of weight off my shoulders and possibly more free time.

Well, managed to get 3 points in a day I was busy with real life, so at least I keep getting some points. 

Still pleased to see new faces joining the fray, or at least users we're not accustomed to see up there. It's the good thing about inactivity, everyone has the chance to shine and those who want results will have to try harder to get them.

Pacman has increased his pace lately, so now the top 3 are quite in front and with a close battle for second place. Doesn't seem like somebody could appear out of the blue and overtake those three, though we can't entirely discard that yet. The rest of the top 10 positions are quite close, so we could see some movement down there in the following days. I'm pretty much safe, specially knowing that I'll still have a few strong days, so I'll only bother about protecting that position and possibly going higher in the ranks if I get enough points.

Looks like this is a pretty familiar title. Hmmm.

Hey, I'm probably not gonna get enough points then I should, but the pace I'm setting so far might push me to at least second place in a matter of time.

pacman1755 : It's funny to see both Pacmans (uh...Pac-Men) placing in the yellow and blue jerseys, and our usernames are both bright blue XD Maybe that'll happen again this weekend.

Well, yesterday I placed quite high and now I'm very close to break my all-time points record, with slightly more than half of the competition still to go.

I regained second place for overall Yellow tying with pacman, and just 9 points away from the leader. I might have a shot at winning that overall jersey if I keep placing like this, so more motivation to do away with real life for the last third of the competition. I may also have a chance at overall podium if I keep an eye out on pacman, though I still don't have a big gap with those behind so as to feel safe without scoring.

With whatever points I can get today, I'm sure I'll do away with my points record. Other milestones I could achieve are getting in the top 10 for most Red jerseys, I only need five more. Maybe I could even have a shot at top 20 most total jerseys, but a couple active competitors are also in the ballot so that one will be hard to meet this month.

realplayer109 : If you're aiming to win an overall jersey, let me warn you of your pace. You're pushing quite hard and it can lead to a burnout, we've seen it way too many times. It's still early in the competition, so you should probably push only what's needed to place ahead of your rivals and steadily shave off the gap in points.

The above suggestion only works for Yellow because you're 21 points behind the leader with 19 days left to go. You have a much higher gap in Blue and also a more active leader to beat, but it is there in Blue where burnouts tend to happen more often.

However, no one else but you knows what your real pace is. If you can still go at this rate, then by all means continue. I'd rather have you win because you show true willingness to win than see you burning out and surrendering the win. I'll be cheering for you, and at the same time, try to get between you and the leader so you shave off even more points

For those competitors that just compete once in a while, 7-pointers are so easy to get in yellow now.

realplayer109 : As the July TdV winner of this year, I agree with EX Palen's suggestion. I had to keep doing just enough to keep up my pace for the yellow and blue. And I only pushed so hard for red every day at the end of the month because I didn't have a choice or I'd lose it. I ended up winning it by a single point.

Interesting, taking the two jerseys again. Though I don't feel as motivated to post as I have done, to be completely honest. Let's just hope though that I can keep this up through the rest of the month!

One thing to note though, it seems that Scared is mostly placing in the top 5, which I see a very good tactic not to over-burn yourself but to stay ahead of the game, I should try it. I think it would be more beneficial in the end, but we'll see how it goes.

Yay on that Green Jersey! My stats say that it's not the first, but I can say it actually is. Now I've checked off a couple goals from my list, coupled with the new personal record for points. Next one will be the highest finish ever, which will be confirmed nearing the end of the month, and let's see if I do manage to get higher on the HoF.

I managed to get very close to the overall podium, but sadly I'll be away this weekend. I've been busy today with some events and tomorrow I'll simply be too tired to do much, so I'll let the users who can only be active on the weekends enjoy themselves while I pick up on Monday.

I won't be fighting for overall Yellow for sure, there's a true contender aiming for it and I have a few other reasons that I'll keep to myself. I'm still saving a trump card in case I need it, but I don't think I'll have to use it. Maybe I'll leave that goal for the next TdV, also hoping that real life will be a lot more balanced out compared to what it is now. I may be wasting my only ever chance, but real life is a priority.

I've been very busy today... playing on... vizzed. Yeah, that sounds ironic.

I haven't posted yet today because I've been making TASes again and it's super fun and addicting. I hope to still post but I think I'll be doing some TASing yet again sometime tonight!

It has felt great to post again, especially with my threads becoming more active.

I haven't really been playing overly-tactically, but the way I see it, I'm better off getting 2-3 points in every jersey as opposed to possibly getting 5 points in one jersey or burning myself out to get a top position in every jersey, which usually isn't possible for green and red anyway (at least for me).

I think from here on out, I'll probably rely on this tactic to get points instead of dedicating large spans of time trying to secure 1-2 jerseys each day. As long as I'm netting about 10-12 points each day, for the rest of the competition, I'm satisfied.

I don't think I'll be able to compete anymore at this point. Thanks to an incredibly stupid mistake on my part, I am no longer able to gain points from the Yellow Jersey, which is the jersey I had intended to win from the start. With no 8120 being as close as he is in total points, I don't think I will be able to net enough points each day to edge him out in the final ranking. It's unfortunate, but there is nothing I can do about it now. I'll probably continue to post until I reach 7,000 posts and see where that takes me.
