Well, yesterday Red saw some interesting competition. Too bad that Blue and Yellow have overall fallen into disgrace these last days, we could have ended this TdV in quite a decent way.

All jerseys are already decided, unless something as unexpected as improbable happens in these last hours in Red. Yuna is quite close to the overall record, I think it's 15 points what she needs, and if this TdV had 31 days like the other three she would have surely made another record and most probably beyond the 500 points mark. She still has chances if she performs well enough today, and let's not forget she also has chances of scoring at least 100 points in all jerseys. Not sure which of those milestones is the greatest, both are insanely hard to get.

I won't be able to get 7th overall because janus is also participating today, so I'll repeat one of my previous finish positions. Doesn't look like I'll make it to the top 5 in any jersey, which will make this top 10 unique in its own way. One more mention in the Hall of Fame, even if it's just this small.

EX Palen : Yeah I wasn't sure if I would place in the red jersey yesterday. There was no competition for yellow and blue probably because my first post of the day was so large XD

Yesterday was pretty difficult for me because I'm not used to making more than 1 post a day. Also, things came up every other hour that made me give up some time on vizzed. If it wasn't for that, I could have gone way crazier for blue but yellow made up for that! Yesterday was also my first time getting 2 jerseys in one day, first time getting 2 7-pointers in one day, and the most points I've obtained in one day. I'm glad that I could come back to vizzed in style.

I'm glad that we've finally reached the final day, and that this TDV will be behind us starting tomorrow.

EX Palen : I vote that we make you the official TdV announcer. You've been calling this whole thing faithfully and grabbing all kinds of historical TdV facts for comparison. xD It's great.

As for yellow the past two days, it makes sense: the day before yesterday, it was stormy so I couldn't put up any words because of connection interference, and Yuna was focused on a red battle since yellow was inactive. Then yesterday Pac had 6,000 words before anyone got started so no one even bothered to put up big numbers because he had it sealed. This late in the month fighting THAT hard to pass him would have been a wasted effort because it wouldn't have affected the overall standings. And honestly I won't be surprised if we end with low numbers today too since, again, it's already decided.



Pacman+Mariofan : Aye, I did indeed try to load a reply page for two hours. I had to put up some words before midnight and the storm just wasn't going to let it happen.

The last day is here. At times this month felt like it was flying by, then at other times it felt like it would never end. It was fun, frustrating, and exhausting, but I'll definitely always remember it. This is what Vizzed board does, man: it makes lasting memories with your friends. I love you guys.

Yuna1000 finally wins the Tour de Vizzed after coming very close to winning it last month (and probably would have won it if it weren't for drama). She's won the Overall Green Jersey 4 times before this TdV and the Red Jersey 2 times. She's made the top 5 7 times and has placed 2nd 2 times. She's also earned the 3rd most total points among all users of all Tour de Vizzed competitions. I can't think of any other user who has ever been more deserving of a TdV win than her.

All of those stats are impressive but the thing I find most impressive is that she broke the record for the most points earned in a single Tour de Vizzed competition. The previous record was 486 points by Mynamescox44 in the Tour de Vizzed: Summer 2016 competition. Yuna1000 walks away with a total of 492 points and would have broken 500 points easily if it was a 31 day month (all other TdV months are 31 days).

I was aiming for 3,700 posts yesterday, but when I saw I was at exactly 1k words I decided to stop. It would have been so funny if I ended 5th with that amount

I'm impressed with how active Red has been the last days, yesterday even 150 CP almost weren't enough. Green also had some decent day to finish, but sadly Yellow and Blue suffered the after effects of a month long competition and ended with fairly low results beyond the top two.

Overall, it's been an interesting TdV. We had quite a battle for Yellow and Red and almost had one for Green, to the point that Red was decided by just two points. Blue had no competition and Yuna had no opponent for Rainbow, but besides that we had some interesting things to look at. And what about Yuna's stats, which have been astronomical all month long: fastest to 300, probably fastest to 400, points record, at least 100 points in all jerseys... Jaw-dropping, to say the least.

Now it's time we return to normal, and let's see if we have any user preparing the next one. Lately, we've just had the same bunch of people competing and they've shown that they're steadily becoming overburnt with the competition as months pass by, so it can be a chance for someone to sneak in and use July to their advantage. Or will Yuna keep her massive 2017 streak and fight for Rainbow once again?

I started the competition with plans to win the Overall Blue Jersey but I just wasn't able to come up with the time required to be a threat to Yuna1000. 2nd place may be the highest rank I've ever acquired in the Blue Jersey competition though.

I'm also amazed that I got 5th place overall, especially with working 2 full time jobs now days and having a family to attend to. Not sure how I pulled that off.

I noticed on the TDV hall of fame page that Winter 2017 is listed twice for some reason. It seems like the last couple of times the TDV has come around, a dupe of the previous results gets added to the hall of fame page.

Anyways, congratz to Yuna on winning the TDV, cox for red and congratz Eirinn on winning Yellow!

EX Palen : To quote the old man in Harvest Moon 64: "such hard masters". First put up over 3,000 and second over 1.5k, and you say the numbers were disappointing? I tried! Have mercy, and I will make you proud one day, senpai! One day! lol

As for the burn out thing...yeah pretty much. Don't expect to ever see me compete in a TdV again -- I am officially retiring from all of that stuff.

Man this is the only time I've ever landed a third place finish, plus I landed an overall yellow. It was a good run.

AuroVee : Congratulations on taking 4th overall! That's not an easy accomplishment, especially since you joined so late. Had you been able to finish the month out you would have easily passed me too.

Well, this was a tolerable month.

Problem is, it also felt like a hella inactive one.

There were active days, of course, but this seemed so... tame.

For a late starter like myself, I didn't know if I'd be able to make much of a push for any of them, but... I am happy with my 4th place overall, my 3rd place in Yellow... And narrowly missing out on 3rd in Blue by just one point. Still, made the top 10 in all four groups, and broke 100 points - not bad for the first TdV which I took part in properly.

Now if only I can get onto a laptop or desktop so that I can post videos and screenshots for the next TdV... And maybe a promotion or two. But the latter is just a pipe dream.

Eirinn : Thanks for the praise! And, yeah, if I was on all month, I might had threatened a medal position.

Yuna1000 : I bet if I hadn't made my push then, you might had broke the 500 mark. Still, maybe next time you'll have more luck... Yeah, right. This 'newbie' who isn't one will be back next time.

Eirinn : Thank you! I still think I made more words than that before, but that was not easy. My first 6,000 words were from my short story I posted, but that wasn't easy either because I had to fix the formatting and that took at least 10 minutes. I was going to make a game review too (because I've played video games in my time off vizzed once in a while), and if I had time to do that it might have been 12,000.

I was hoping this would happen and it did: the white banner winner won with 1 point
