Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing.



Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Let the games begin!

You don't know how long I've been waiting for this. I'm going to try and go for rainbow, if not overall than at least one day this month. Do you have any idea if there's going to be a team competition this time? I love the team competitions.

Well, for this TDV, I'm not planning to go all out. I definitely still plan to grab jerseys from time to time, but I won't be going for any of the overall jerseys. The last Summer TDV took a tole on me, mainly because when I get home from work after a hot summer day, I feel like relaxing, not working myself even harder by trying to win a month long competition.

The only thing I'm going for is the 100 jersey milestone. I only need 10 more jerseys to reach it. Only 3 users have passed that milestone: zanderlex, Singelli, and Davideo7. I'm looking to become the 4th to do it.

LunarDarkness2 : If someone on the staff wants to host a team competition then sure, we can have one. Otherwise I still haven't found the time to host an automated team competition

Well, good luck to everyone who plans on participating. I honestly hope there are new winners for this TDV this time rather than seeing a similar set of users winning overall jerseys every month. 

Of course there's nothing wrong with having the same set of users winning every TDV month but, it just gets boring to watch after a while.

Also, I wouldn't mind hosting a team competition if you guys really want. But if there's another more active staff member who wants to do it then let them do it.

If you want to host a team competition, go ahead. What would you base the teams off of though? We've done like everything by now.

I think last time we picked teams ourselves. Like, there are some team captains and someone wants to join their team. The team captain has to approve. I think Furret hosted the one I'm thinking of so perhaps he could talk about this better than I can.

How about we make teams based on if you birthyear is even or odd? And how old a user is?

For example, there will be Team Even Geezers who has an even birthyear and is over the age of 25. Team Odd Geezers who has an odd birthyear and is over the age of 25. (and so on for an even and odd team under the age of 25) 

I can't think of a better idea yet but I'll keep thinking. (I know my idea isn't very good...) If anyone has a better idea, please let me know ASAP. And was that idea already done?

Noyb42 : Conspiracy theory time: This whole thing has been a very, very subtle brainwashing into communism! Think about it, man! Only those of us who contribute the most are honorable enough to wear the red banner.

I'll probably get into this full time after a while, but for now I'm gonna be pretty lazy for a while like I have over the past couple of months. I'll be sticking to staff stuff and a decent amount of posting until I'm ready to go back to normal after a few days or so. Eventually I plan on doing a couple of reviews a week like I have been over the past month which could get me a good standing in the overall Red jersey.

I think that second idea seems kind of unfair, since Site Staff have more options to use the Green/Red jersey to their advantage.

Nice to have the green jersey again after a whole year. I'm considering competing this month for the green but it's made a lot more difficult since I won't be able to stay up the final hours of the day to make sure I get the jersey due to time zone differences (since I live in Europe). When I won the TdV and green last year I was basically pulling all nighters most days. Also why anything besides Green is out of the question though I don't think I'd really feel like trying to win the TdV again. I guess my lead was too great this time for David to catch me though so that's good at least. If I'm too have any chance this way I'm going to have to keep a lot of pressure, so that's what I intend to do.

Me and Davideo7 discussed this in comet chat and determined that the local+, site staff & elite, and Trusted and below was currently the best idea we had. 

LunarDarkness2 : Yea, I know the idea is a bit flawed. But it's the only decent idea we can come up with before it's too late. Better than no team competition at all I suppose. Technically though, every team has a weakness/strength. 

Local+ are the most outnumbered, but have the most possible CP actions. Elites are mostly inactive and don't bother competing, but the site staff outnumber the local+. (I think) Not all staff compete in the TDV though. And trusted and below would outnumber the other teams. So I think it could still work out ok...

Good luck to those who will want to win which I don't think is anything worth. Anyways I'll be hiding as usual this month. Things are going to get spammy. But lets see how this tdv plays out.
