Actually this one is easy... since data was created by Dr. Soong. Dr. Soong was his "father"... so Data's last name would be soong...

You really mean to tell me that you somehow not only have not seen the new movie but apparently lived under a rock all summer and didn't even know it had come out?

And he's referring to the concept that "red shirts die first."

Sorry to go Trekker on you, but you come across are really inexperienced in the Trek knowledge.

How many of the movies have you seen, which ones, and which is your favorite/why?

Favorite race?

Best bad guy race?

I knew that it came out... That's why I have the movie... I just never had the time to watch it and soon forgot that I had it...

I have seen a lot of the movies... My favorite is "Nemises" where Data dies at the end and is replaced by B-4...

Favorite Race is the Klingons....

Best bad guy race: Borg (they qualify as a race...)

In your personal opinion do you think a reboot of star trek was neccesary to keep the series alive or do you think it was fine on its own?

After the earlier ones with Spock it was necessary, but after all the ones that have come up in the past 20 years, I think that there is no need for a reboot for another 10 -15 years....

So would you agree then that the latest movie was unnessicary and just makes star trek into an action series for the masses?
(Oh, and it's Soong, not Sung. That was bugging me so I had to mention it)

I don't believe that the latest movie was unecessary, because I said that Star Trek does not need a boost to stay famous, not that a movie would be necessary to stay famous... The movie was not unecessary, because it helped the Star Trek go on, but not make it more famous than it already was...

Does Star Trek have a main villain kinda like Darth Vader in Star Wars? Or is it just random villains all over.

JigSaw- In the Star Trek series they don't have a main villain... instead in each episode they face a problem or a villain and have to win the struggle by the end of the episode.

Retro- The Borg are only in a couple of episodes... they face different things in different episodes... to answer your question I would be a borg, because Klingons only care about honor and Furangi always are greedy and cheat people....

Well I find that a honorable choice on your part and well I jsut figured that because they held such a great threat especially in the ST movie about when they and the enterprise go back in time to the first warp jump of humans. So that is my opinion on it.
Ok I got one now.
If you had your own Data what would you do with him?

I like the Enterprise in TNG better, because it was not a total of five rooms like in the TOS, but it is really big and the saucer part can be separated if necessary.
