It was cheesy,horribly done,some elements felt forced and it just felt lackluster. It is as if the Square Enix folks just rushed it out and cared little for quality.

Final Weapon : Yeah to be honest that would be great. It was annoying how she died and all it was right up annoying when that happened and shocking as well. I never played the game but saw the walkthrough on youtube. '-'

Thanks,but if you think it is worth defending it,you may defend it. I just think it was a rushed project and was basically a re-hashing of an existing game. You know like COD is every year? I think Square-Enix is losing their touch. Maybe I am just old and want a traditional Final Fantasy,although it is starting to grate. I think 11 flopped largely because you needed the PS2 network adapter, 12 was not so good,because the art style and overall handling was...different. 13 fails because they had to release it in so many types,like the Pokemon games. Maybe make 15 the true and final fantasy.

Oldschool777 : I'm only defending some bits not all. I can agree it wasn't the best game. But for me the storyline gave me what I wanted and the music just matched that. I disliked how the gameplay was as there were areas that wasn't really likable like the sidequest parts and whatnot. :/

I'd probably choose Final Fantasy VII.  Although I liked its battle system MUCH more than VIII's, I despised certain things about it.  I made it about until Cloud met Aeris, then I was done with the game.  Maybe if I had given it more of a chance, then I would have enjoyed it more.  For example, some of the things I despised were Barret's frequent cursing, a dialogue choice the player makes early in the game (as Cloud), and AVALANCHE's seemingly murderous goals.  Basically, the only thing I enjoyed a lot was the battle system, but that wasn't enough to get me to stay.
