We're all getting a little off topic, aren't we?  As for my decision about what to go for today, I haven't really decided.  I'm thinking I might actually go for all the others and not red, but I don't think I can get the yellow without the red either.  And yet I want to do enough to stay ahead at least... hrm.  :/  I might just not compete today.

Singelli : You can definitely get yellow without getting red if you're also posting enough to get blue. You just need a lot of medium-length posts. You typically need over 100 posts to get blue anyway and if you were to average 100 words per post, that's 10,000 words right there. That can win you the Yellow on some days... either increase the word per average or number of words a bit and you'll pretty much lock it down. You're not going to be getting Red most days unless you have a 3000+ word post.

A lot of people winning yellow tend to make that one 5k post and then a whole bunch of 30-word posts... but if you have more content per post without anything incredibly long, the balance gets you to where you need to be.

A good example are my stats yesterday. I only posted 36 times and for 3839 words. None of my posts were longer than like 600-something words. That's probably not close to top 5 red, but I got 4th in Yellow. Now just imagine if I was home all day and posted at that rate for double the posts? That's now 72 posts (4th place blue) for 7678 words (2nd place yellow). Increase that rate for enough posts to actually place first in blue and you also have enough for 1st and yellow easily.

Anyway, I'm also not doing anything resembling competing today. I've been at work all day and so this is like only my 3rd post of the day. There's no point in my trying to play catchup with my slow typing :p

Well, I will still be making my Megaman Zero 2 review today, and Megaman Zero 3 and 4 to follow which may or may not land me red Jersey, and I will be doing maybe a few posts but that is about it.


Yellow and Blue Jerseys do not mix by the way. It looks like a white/gray mix on my screen.

Wow I think I need to give all today or another day when I want to compete. Anyway congrats Oldschool, and Sairek Ceareste for going on the leader board. Maybe today I going for the blue or green.

Competition's a little quiet today, isn't it?  Anyhow, there was a lot I wanted to post, mainly about how awful my day is, but I'm sure nobody completely reads through my posts anyways.  LOL

Plus, I found out I've discouraged some of the competitors and I never meant to do that, so I apologize.  I'm going to resist from posting anything else at all tonight.

I could so get yellow jersey today if I didn't hafta work

Stupid work and having to be in the final hours of the competition. There's no way to really win anything if you're not at the site in the last 2-3 hours. At LEAST the final hour. But no, my shift ends at midnight EST.

Activity is low because it's finally hitting the mid part of the competition, where most of the top posters to the point are slowing down, and the consistent ones start racking up points.

It could change, and I expect a burst again soon, but if you are one of those consistent posters, now is your time to strike.

legacyme3 :  Well, I'll take another shot this weekend, but tonight just isn't for me.  I'll stay quiet except for pms.    I'm completely worn.  LOL

jlh : Don't say that just yet there is about 2 hour left (or how many hours, I don't when we stop this current round and start another round) for someone to post more then 12 30+ word posts. I'm betting that someone will beat me since you would need at least 20 30+ word posts to at least have a chance at the green jersey.

Keys is being DQ'd for the day. I ended his ban early, because I won't be online tomorrow morning to lift it as I was planning to. So he won't be eligible for jerseys today.

I'm apparently going to get the Yellow Jersey by itself without even trying. And I was doing half my day playing League of Legends and maybe spending another fourth of it working on my sprite comic. I've only posted today while watching videos at the same time. Hrm...


I don't really feel like trying to do a last minute rush gathering any other Jerseys... maybe I'll just take this as more bonus time to work on my sprite comic in preparation for updating it tomorrow. I ignored the poor thing for 8 days without any word. :l


Although, if Keys isn't getting them today... Ohhhh... I just don't know what to do... I kind of don't want this ugly set up of blue and yellow jerseys again. I only want one or the other! And Xenthou at the moment is just as high up as Mr.Keys is... But, but, but they're worth points...

I like the blue and yellow combination, actually.  LOL  It looks like black and white on my computer, and I think it looks classy.

Luckily for you I only tried to get red today.
