Quick clarification on the 35% rule:

Do those four forums add together? Or is it 35% per? I don't know if this is making much sense, but an example of what I mean:

Example:
I make the following post ratio:

- 25% in Crazy House
- 25% in Polls & Questions
- 25% in General
- 25% in Reviews

Would the 25% in Crazy House and 25% in P&Q be added together to equal 50% and thus being DQ'd or would they each be considered separate?

Also, I thought Video Game Crazyness was considered to be a division of the Crazy House? Shouldn't it be added to the 35% rule then?

And for those worried about messing up and posting too much in one area without knowing. The easiest way (that I can think of anyhow) to avoid this is to post once in the area that counts for the 35% rule and then post three or more times anywhere else on the board before posting in the "spam" forum again.

Welp I didn't compete much today because I was too busy screenshotting for MAME. Somehow I managed to break into the top 5 for words anyway. Lucky me. I'll have even less time tomorrow, so most likely no posts this new day.

Ktanaqui : You can also view your posts by forum and do the math if you're not sure where you stand.

Yeah, I was aware of that method. I offered up the suggestion of the method that I use those for people who aren't really capable of doing the math properly or are not sure how to / never learned.

Can we actually post over 1000 post for the 9 days straight? I think we can do that, because a lot of people is posting a lot on this website, but it might go down after a couple more days.

legacyme3 : Thank you so much for posting and explaining the rules for the TDV. I sometimes have to have people explain things to me. So I can fully comprehend and make sure I don't break rules or cause any problems for other people. Also, wow, you've gotten all the jerseys? That's quite an accomplishment. You team is very lucky to have you. I'm very impressed. I could never do that. I have the time but my fingers won't allow me to get all the jersey's. I found that out today. Haha.

Singelli : Honestly it does not bother me one bit if you got any of the jersey's or even got in the top five. You weren't competing but you still did good, and it was on accident. There was only one other time I got a jersey for a day and it was, some time ago and it was the green jersey and I got it by accident. I wasn't eve competing either. So I don't think anyone should be upset that you posted and got in the top five or better. You should be proud of yourself cause you got something in the competition accomplished without even trying to. Mean you have good posting skills and you're a good member for the site. You are setting an example for me and I really need that. I'm not as good a member as I wish I would have been but I am working on trying to change that.

Now for my thoughts on Yesterday's results and the over all monthly results so far. Even if I don't win any of the jersey's I am very happy with how I am doing in the competition. This is in fact my first time trying to compete and I think I am doing good for my first try. So even getting the Blue jersey for yesterday made me really happy. I want to TRY to help my team to be in the top five but I am doing it alone, for now anyway. I know they are probably more busy than I am so I don't mind doing a little extra work to help them out. It's not like I have a job or go to school like a lot of the other members do. So I am happy to help them in anyway I can. And as for the individual competition. I am just trying for the blue jersey, since it's the one I know I can do. And if I happen to be in the top five or any of the other jersey's it'll just be an added bonus. So that's my thoughts on the new results. I am very happy with how well I think I am doing. And congratulations to the individual and team competitors. I'm so impressed on how much healthy, good competition there is. It helps keep me motivated to do the best I can, even if it's not the best out of everyone. It also helps me to learn how to be a more productive member and be more positive with the other members and not have so much negativity when I do interact with other members. I know I can't change my past mistakes and make them go away. Like a few Global and Local moderators, you know who you are, they told me you can't get everyone to like you. So I'm learning to accept that but I also want to make sure that I become more positive and try to make up for my past mistakes. Sorry, I didn't mean to get off topic, I'll let everyone get back onto the topic of this thread.

The competition is kinda nifty, but I don't try to worry about it too much. I kinda just fell into it as it started not long after I started posting here. I didn't even know what it was at first or about the team sign-ups prior. Maybe next year I'll find myself a team if they continue to use that format. I'm fairly good at the Yellow competition, so a hypothetical team that was lacking someone who could compete there might benefit from me.

Don't ever look to me for blue or green though XD

SunflowerGaming :  Aww thanks Sunflower!  I really enjoyed reading your post (the whole thing).  I guess I was just a little worried because I told several people that I wouldn't be trying to compete, and therefore they'd have a better chance.

I just felt a little badly that I put my name up there after telling several people that I wouldn't.  But it certainly wasn't intentional.

Singelli : You're very welcome. I don't think it's a big problem, any and everyone is allowed to compete in the TDV, whether it's intentional or unintentional. If anyone gets mad over you being in the top running list, that will be a little silly.

Competition seems to be a little quiet and mild today.  I wonder if we can hit 2000 posts?  I have a lot to do, so I'll probably take a shot at the red jersey again later, in case anyone wants to prepare. ^.^

Seishiro Leonhart : Sorry that was probably the review I was working on. I've been looking at some old games I used to play and trying to submit reviews to them especially if the have none or very little already. I started doing that late last month and every once in a while, type up another when I have the time for it.

Honestly, I thought my post came after the scores reset for a new day. Didn't think it was at the end.

Don't think we are going to hit 1000 posts today. The site being down really hurts the chances of that happening.

I could be wrong, but we'd need about 500 posts in the next 3.75 hours. That's 133.333 an hour.
