The Tour de Vizzed is back and like the VCS, this is an event that lasts 1 month. Unlike the VCS, this will only take place once every 3 months.

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Biggest post in a day
Green Jersey: Most 30+ word posts in an hour

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)

septembern is the 1st to grab rainbow banner

Hey David, I think the counter for the Green glitched last night. I think it's showing most posts in an hour, not just 30+.

I was at 19 posts for the hour and pacman1755 was at 20, but for some reason right at midnight we both seemed to jump up a post or two even though he was not even online. I went back and recounted my posts and I found 21 posts in an hour, but only 19 of them were 30+ words long.

Just thought that you'd like to know in case there was something wrong there.

All the summons worked for once.

As usual, I'll take a late start. I don't know if I have the ability to make large posts, but hey, I'll try.

well I was going for green but it seems I ended up going for blue and thanks to some competition I ended up going over 100 posts, lol I forgot how fun posting can be. =o

Ah the return of the Tour de Vizzed, I was waiting for that.
I hope this time, with all the stuff I have to do, I will not be so long. I learnt my lesson now and it will not happen twice. Also, so many things will happen, grabbing at least one jersey would be a great achievement during April

Dang I'm already behind the 8 ball having not posted yesterday. My girlfriend came back into town Saturday night after being in China for 2 weeks so I was busy doing stuff with her the rest of the weekend. I'm going to have to do a bunch of posting to catch up! lol

Well there has been good news and bad news

Bad news: I got screwed out of the Green.

Good news: I'm second in getting the Rainbow badge. At least I am in contention for the day

septembern : It wasn't a problem with the last Tour de Vizzed so I'm not sure why it would stop counting 30+ word posts. Could you double check?

crazycatpup : The Tour de Vizzed is a lot of fun and I think the activity will take a big jump.

Davideo7 : I'm pretty sure that I ended my hour of 30+ words. I can almost guarantee that I didn't get 21 posts.

I have just confirmed that for the Green Jersey it is tracking 30+ word posts only. In the past hour I made about 19 posts but the Green Jersey is only showing me having 13 posts since about 5 of those posts I made were under 30 words.

Davideo7 : During the day the Tour De Vizzed worked completely fine.

In fact, with only 10 seconds left in the VCS for the day the scores were right, it was just the second it turned midnight the number of posts in the hour bumped up for all of the top five. I was watching the meanwhile and saw mine go from 19 to 21 and pacman's from 20 to 21.

So I don't expect you to see the problem right now, but the second it turns midnight maybe.

I'll be honest though, I was actually quite surprised that I got the rainbow in the first place!

septembern : Once day 2 ends, the results of day 1 are final. I can change the results for the previous day but with the way things are coded, results from 2 or more days ago can't be changed.
