The last book I read was The Once and Future King by TH White. I highly recommend it for fantasy lovers, especially if you happen to be an Arthurian Legend dork like I am! It's sometimes funny, sometimes sad... It's a lot of drama, haha! Love triangles, magic, important lessons, and knights galore! I love this book. I seriously love it. Like, I died laughing about Lancelot and what an idiot he can be, and how long it takes Arthur to learn that Might is not Right, and King Pellinore, and the insanely dapper little badger, and Gareth is SO cute, and I just love how Kay is such a little brat, and AHHH! MY FANGIRL IS ESCAPING! You HAVE to read this book!

My favorite Sc-Fi and Fantasy books would have to be the harry potter books. I really enjoyed reading them last year.. they were full of a lot more detail than the movie which I like and enjoyed.. I play on reading many others as well this 2014.

I cant remember the name of it, but a few months ago I finished a Star Trek book from the original series. I have quite a few from all of the series.

Right after I watched Ender's game when it came out, I went to my library and took out the book and I loved it, though it was very different from the movie.

The last fantasy book I read was the third book of the Gone series by Michael Grant. I really got into the first book, but after the second I felt the plot dragging on too long and didn't want to read much more. After the third, I'm not going to read any more until I can get the last book and read that first.

The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories by H.P. Lovecraft. It's just a collection of some of his short stories but it was still big. Really great writer. Now I'm starting The Nekropolis Archives. Hope it's a good book for how big it is....

The last Sci-Fi/Fanasty  book I read was Star Wars Young Jedi Knights Crisis at crystal reef. I'm sad it had to end (the series) . It continues where the movies left off and sooooo Star Wars.

The last Fantasy book that I have read was Legend by Marie Lu. It was a great read, and the two sequels are also great books from what I have heard in reviews.

I'm trying and trying to remember the last sci-fi or fantasy book I read, the the first one that comes to mine leaves me a bit ashamed. It can't SURELY have been that long since I've read in the genre, lol.  Does Monster, by Frank Peretti count?  I read that one within the past five years sometime.  If not... it was probably something in the Sword of Truth series.  I won't read those anymore, but I do have to say that the author was absolutely amazing at what he did.

Last Sci Fi book I read was either Stranger in A Strange Land by Robert A Heinlein or Starman Jones by Robert A Heinlein. Love his Sci Fi books. They always have drama, rising action, jokes and new terms he invents (Astrogator, Grok, etc).

Last Book I Read was Kenobi by John Miller (Sci-Fi). I finished it sometime last week. I thought it was a okay Star Wars book. I liked that it gave a lot of incite to Obi Wan's life on Tatooine. However the book was not as good as I wanted it to be. I have read numerous Star Wars books and they have for the most part been better than this one.

Currently I am reading Severed Souls by Terry Goodkind (Fantasy). This is the 14th book Featuring the main characters Richard and Kahlan. The biggest problem that I have had so far is that the author spends the first third of the book recapping the entire series so far. After that finished up the book picks up and I have been enjoying It. I am looking forward to completing it as I generally care about the stories of these characters despite my dislike of the authors writing style.

The last one that I had read was I believe Enders Shadow. I had watched Enders Game last year and I read the book shortly after, and I wanted to continue reading the series, though I don't exactly know what order the books are, so I don't even know if there was a book before this one after that one, but it was still a really good book.

I recently re-read the first part of harry potter, the philosopher's stone. I still love it as much as back then! I like part 2 the best, though. The chamber of secrets.

Well last sci-fi book I read was " Earth Awakens " by Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston. Was a really good read and I would recommend it.
As for fantasy I am currently re-reading the Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey with side stories done by other authors as well. The series is a long one but wow is it good. I also like some of her husband's work ( Larry Dixon ).

Also have to agree with simplytyson in a way because Robert Jordan is a very good author. So is Tara K. Harper, Piers Anthony, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Terry Brooks, Stephen R. Donaldson, David Eddings, Raymond Feist, Ursula K Leguin, Anne McCaffrey, J. R .R. Tolkien, R.A. Salvatore, Tracey Hickman, and Margaret Wise, and so many others I could name.

aj424 : So it took so long to reply but I would recommend that if you want to continue to see what happens to characters of the first 11 books with out the same old lingering enemy then you should go for it. I have continued with it and am mostly happy.
