In my opinion,I think yes,because animals are created by God,if they died,their souls will go to heaven,peacefully.

i reckon they dont go to heaven or hell and neither do we i have fluxs in what i beleieve in these days i believe in reincatnation one day then the next i believe that when we all die we become soley worm food i know its a pretty bleak view but if you think about it humans are just a freak of nature and nothing more than a result of stardust and hydrogen making single celled organisms which evolved into what we are today animals are just less evolved and maybe someday they'll be the new humans...

If heaven is paradise, then my paradise includes animals.

Well, I hope the animals does have their own afterlife because to me, an animal lover, it's too cruel to think after they die, they prowl on earth, haunting, or cease into nothingness.

Of course all animals go to heaven haven't you seen the movie All Dogs Go To Heaven? Its and old  movie so it must be true!

 Sorry about the sarcasm, but I don't believe animals go to heaven. I am not aware of any scripture that says they would go to heaven. Also, I am not aware of any biblical texts that say you can imagine what ever you want and it will appear in heaven. If some one knows a good piece of scripture related to the topic could you please share it, or say which passage it is found in? 



This topic shouldn't be exclusive to just animals in my opinion. For instance, do bugs go to heaven? How about dinosaurs? There has got to be great white sharks in heaven if animals are allowed in. What about the HIV virus, does it make it into heaven?

Since for all I know this is not addressed in the Bible the only reference on the subject is a highly controversial movie known to most as "All Dog's Go To Heaven" According to said extremely scholar like film all dogs go to heaven with us. If you could not tell that was sarcasm.

All in all I have to say that they do not. I think that all animals go no where. If God wants animals he can make 'em...

I think they do, I personally believe every living creature has a soul, and that we all go somewhere.

Of course, that's my personal thought.

Although we could make the debate messy and talk about bacterias and such which are technically alive but aren't exactly complex species when it comes right down to it.

geeogree : Sorry I just assumed you meant mammals, I am not exactly sure why I have a predispostion of  mammals when some one says animals. I blame pop culture haha.

I just looked up the defintion of animals, as this made me curious as to what is defined as an animal, and I came up with this (as taken from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/animals ):

1. any member of the kingdom Animalia ,comprising multi cellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth , can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally ,and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli

2.any such living thing other than a human.

3.a mammal , as opposed to a fish, bird etc.

So I am obviously thinking of the third definition when I think of mammals.

Why is talking about bacteria and other simpler life forms messy? Do you not want to acknowledge that your God created these things? You could answer with the first defintion of 'animals' because bacteria are single celled, but viruses are mutli-cellular.

*edit* I wont change it so you can see what I put, but viruses actually arn't considered as multi-cellular but comprise of DNA and RNA and have no cellular stucture. I can understand why you might not want to include bacteria and viruses now, as they arn't considered animals.

This doesn't change the fact that animals who will eat humans will be in heaven if you believe animals go to heaven.

well, it does depend a lot on how you define "animals" and what that means.

Also, I think most Christians believe that in heaven there is no disease so I'm not sure if bacteria would exist or not. But they are still essential to life on this planet as it stands so in my mind it's hard to separate them away from multi-cellular life.
