I enjoyed FF8 more than any other, except maybe FF1 but that was unbeatle, The end boss is so incredibley hard.

FF8, simply cuz of the way you can do the magic.

Yeah Magic played a big part in FF8, which I guess was ok, but I liked FF7 Magic "routine" better.

I loved FF6 soooooo much...

It had the most characters of any Squaresoft RPG (Except Chrono Cross of COURSE!!!) and they all had personalities! ('cept Gogo... but whatever that WAS his/her personality... the fact that it had none.)

Kefka was the greatest and most evil FF villian of all time... Sephiroth was a momma's boy (compared to Kefka... don't hit me) thus he isn't the greatest. Kefka started out weak and then got messed up! How cool is that? Very Frankenstein.

Is that out yet FF6 that is? for PS that is? Is that part of Anthology?

FF8 had a good story and all, but the ending sucked ass.

i liked the first the best cause it was just so much fun for the time and even afterwards.....to me it doesnt matter if a game "has it all" that can be a disadvantage as well...like so bloated with stuff it dont run right till years down the road.....

I'm the first and only to vote for FFIX? Oh well, I truly think it was wonderful. I prefer old school games and when FFVII came out, I was horrified by how far they took it away from the way they had it before 3-D was available. Don't get me wrong, it was a great game, but it was missing that familiar feel to it that got me comfortably into final fantasy games. Final Fantasy 8 was fun, it helped me adapt more to the new age of Final Fantasy a bit since it also had a similar feel to that of FFVII. But when Final Fantasy 9 came out, I got everything I wished for. I got that old feeling I got from playing games like FFIV and FFV and I got to adapt more to the new style games as well. The best of the old combined with the best of the new, what more could you ask for? FFX and X-2 were great but by then I was already, and still am, stuck on FFIX.

edit: I agree, missing out on beating FF8 is a bummer. Of course, you've had the privilege of seeing me beat it twice mr ...um mistermog

Yes, I am happy with the fact that ff7 won, because it is by far the best final fantasy game in my opinion

I just loved the ending to FF6 so much more...

Yeah well the best ending of all was to FF7, but I guess theres a sequel so there will be a even better ending now!

Actually, I personally thought the ending to FF7 was too short, had too little to it and overall sucked. That was a bad thing about it. After the first time I played FF8 I hated the ending because it looked as if Squall died and then just ended. No explanation(A lot like how FF7 sucked but in a different way). But I just forgot to watch the credits that time and found out the second time I played through. The third time I played through was just to see how strong I could get my characters. I played that time with Squall dead the entire game, at the end he was more than 20 levels behind my already low level party
