I believe in the power of prayer, and it would be an encouragement for you and to me as well if we can use this thread here to list out any concerns, struggles, fears, blessings, anything, etc etc, and that I or anyone on this forum would read and pray for you for whatever you wrote on here.

Even if you do not believe in God, or you are a different religion, I will still pray for you, and I'm sure many others who see this would do the same (if not, you still have me, lol)

So, yeah, list anything that I may be able to pray for you.

alexanyways : my wife of one year and i found out on may 19th 2010 that she had a brain tumor. it is stage 4. very aggressive, rapid growing. in order to do surgery, they had to deliver our daughter 2 months early. our little girl is doing fine, and my wife's treatments are going well, but the oncologist and chemotherapist both were quick to let us know that the treatments are not going to cure the cancer. they're mearly going to slow it down. she was given 2-3 years. i am a christian, and i know that God has a plan, i just worry....not knowing what his plan is...i know he knows what he's doing, but i'm afraid to accept that it's possible she may leave us. what if he needs her there, more than we need her here? hope this doesn't get taken down. it's my first post here, and the first time i've been this open about the situation. i originally put this on the general chat board, but tRIUNE told me about this forum. i will pray for all of you, and humbly ask that you do the same. thank you and may our Almighty God bless you all.

Well, I have two more things that need prayer.

1. My uncle got in a car accident nearly 6 years ago. He IS getting better, but he won't forget about it and he gets quite aggressive.

2.My grand uncle has a bad case of Altzhimers, and he's also very aggressive.

I pray for all the sickness and illness that everyone on this board or their relatives, close friends, people that we all know, and that You, God, can heal them by Your will. We know that You, God, are sovereign and You are control of everything in this world. Please touch their lives and mend these bodies. I also pray that they would rely on you during this time. No matter what the outcome is, whether they are healed or not, Your name would still be glorified and that it will fulfill Your purposes. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

OK, so I was too busy and too upset to bring this out before...
My mother lost her baby last week. It's been a week and a half since she delivered it, and about three weeks since he/she (probably a girl) died... the worst was last Sunday. Our Sunday School lessons are in a video series... and last week's dealt with a little girl's funeral. She ran out of the room crying... understandably. She's doing better now, but we're all feeling the repercussions still.

Second, I ask for moving ease for my girlfriend. She's going to move... possibly in two weeks or so, she's not sure... to Raleigh, NC (about four hours from where I live). The worst part is she's berating herself for going into the relationship knowing she'd have to leave soon, just not that soon... whereas I had no clue. She said she feels selfish for wanting to be my girlfriend knowing she'll soon be four hours from me. Basically, I want prayer for moving ease with them, as well as prayer that God guides us through this.

I believe that God is omniscient so there is no reason why He would not see this thread. But not because it's labeled "Prayer Wall," in fact there is no reason why He wouldn't know of this entire Board, and not know of every post before it was even posted.

With that said I'd like to share a concern of mine, in June of this year (6-20-10) the pastor of my church passed away at the age of 59.

I'm not necessarily asking for prayer regarding this more than I already know that God is in control, but please keep in mind if you are moved towards prayer for the stability of the assistant (new) pastor, that God will work in and through him to be effective in his position.

I pray for people who are mean to religious people for simply being religious. I'm sorry it offends you as much as it does.

I'd honestly rather not say. It's not that it was overly offensive.... but it's something that doesn't need to be repeated.

Simply put, he looks down on us for believing in God. That's not what he got banned for, but it didn't help his case. He was a very disrespectful person in general.

I saw what he said before it was edited. Anyway, since it is the anniversary of 9/11. Let's pray for America that she might be not be complacent and that 9/11 be remembered forever.

A friend of mine may lose his girlfriend soon. He says that his GF's sister told her mom that they did something stupid together, and now there's some legal thing going on. I don't know all of the little intricacies and complications, but if all goes wrong it may end with a restraining order. Both of them are pretty shook up about it. May just be all they have in life. My friend even said that if he loses her, "I'm out."

Please pray for the two to have strength, and for the parents involved to have some understanding.

This might seem petty in comparison, but another friend may be losing her Internet access because the bill is probably going to be fairly large and her parents might get too mad. Again, it sounds petty, but if they cut her off permanently she's going to lose a lot. Her Internet life means a lot to her; there are a lot of people she knows who may not be able to contact her. She even told me she may not have anything else left. Worse still, she has a boyfriend who loves her very much. I'm actually kind of scared of what they might do if she does lose this Internet access.

Please pray for them to stay strong throughout, and for her parents to be understanding to her.

Pray for Justin Bieber to hit puberty early. Oh, and for PETA to become a veal retailer.

Joking aside, I'll ask for a prayer even if I don't fully believe it helps. I've been depressed since 7th grade, and never have been able to stop being depressed. I'm on medication now, but I still am a mess. I'd just like to know if God gives a crap at all. I'll be honest about why I slipped away. I kept having distressing thoughts that I thought were God telling me to stop playing Pokemon. It wasn't effecting a thing. Then I began having these same thoughts about everything. I felt like I was ready to go insane, and couldn't take it; I just slipped away since I was tired of the feeling of being controlled.

I don't know if God is as controlling as those thoughts made me think. I just want prayers. I don't care what happens anymore, since I'm already as far as you can go down. Here. Have a song to help you know how down I mean.

I would like prayer in general for my whole Mom's side of the family, it's full of drunks and smokers and is cursed with divorce. It's an odd mix since my Mom was the first in her family that excepted Christ; and soon two of her sisters followed, but they need prayer for their smoking habits as well; and my Dad's side of the family is seven or so generations of believers. He's a welder who works from 7AM-4:30PM(Monday thru Friday+A little bit on Saturday)and is always working nonstop, and he still went to work with a swollen toe, and a near-broken foot. I'm personally atheistic, but I love this thread. It's very comforting to know someone is hoping for things to turn out okay, even if the person in question is a complete stranger.

Couple of things that need praying for. One is myself, I'm currently caught between atheist and Agnostic beliefs, so please pray that I'll find my religion soon.

I'd also appreciate it if someone could pray for my cousin Julian, whose been receiving Leukemia treatment practically since the day he's been born (He's about 5 or 6 now)

Many people pass through harsh situations and we need a soothing conversation or sign with the one above.

I just wanted to ask a favor to pray for my family and I. I dont know what path God has for me, but I know he will direct me to one. (as in what I should be doing in life, or if what i'm doing is the right thing to his plan for me).

Today a friend of mine, Robin, a bipolar and unreasonable person, became angry and not only threatened but declared that he was going to kill himself. He has not spoken since, and I'm afraid for his soul. Please pray for him to have wisdom, strength, and understanding.

Please also pray for Danni, his girlfriend, who would be devastated by his loss.

Both of these people have been suicidal in the past, and I fear very much for their safety.

My future mother-in-law is going through some rather difficult times in her divorce. Her husband has basically leeched off of her for eight years, refusing to work even though he is capable of it despite his morbid obesity (as three doctors has declared he is not disabled by this or anything else). He is now trying to claim spousal support so he does not have to work, and got a Welfare doctor to give him a temporary disabled claim so that he can try for support and reapply to Social Security for disability (which he will fail... again). Just having that automatically gives him 40% of her earnings, which means she doesn't have enough to live on unless she wins the appeal and proves he is not disabled. The court date is soon, and she needs a win. So please, pray for her to get justice and have this whole thing resolved soon. Thank you.

Please pray for my family. We are doing foster care and we have three brothers. One is newborn, and the other two are 4 and 5. TPR (termination of paretal rights) has been filed on the older two. The infant was just taken, so it is a separate case. Pray that the decision for both cases are made quickly and are in the boys' best interest.

The 5 year old also has some issues with, i guess you would say with mental processing. Pray for him please.

One more thing. My sister is getting married this year. Pray that we can get through the wedding without too much stress.




Edit: i want to add one more. My church youth group holds a teen service 3 times a year. It is a service put on by the teens. We do skits, sing solos, our teen choir sings too, and then there is a sermen at the end of it. Please pray that we do a good job.

My dad just found out his mom landed in the hospital from a fall, and broke something. She is now incoherent and cannot focus for some reason. Her doctors are working her up at the moment, and we're worried that she's reached her end of life... Pray for her to survive, or pray for her to have a safe and enjoyable journey to Heaven.

I may be an atheist, but it would be nice if people prayed for her because she's a spiritual person.

Please pray for me. I am going to be graduating this Friday and my stress levels are unbelievably high. I've already had several moments of passing out and freaking out due to this stress. I am having issues with some classes. My workload for this week is overwhelmingly busy, as I will be moving my stuff out Thursday, graduating Friday, and possibly leaving that night, or early Saturday morning.

In regards to what I will be doing after graduation, I am starting with literally nothing. I have been using other people's vehicles to get around and my job that I have now is not hardly a job to live off of.

Please pray for my stress level and that God will provide and guide me through my path in the real world. My biggest fear is that I end up not surviving the real world and I fail. Call me selfish or narcissistic for saying that, but it's a big deal, considering my parents think I am a failure and I want to show them that I can stand on my own.

I read through all of the prayers on this thread and I prayed for all of you in hopes of your prayers being answered. I would also like to request a prayer for myself. I am a christian and even though my mother stopped making me go to church, I still have her drive me to church every Sunday. I hope to eliminate as much sin from my daily life as possible to live more according to God and to fight temptations. Each new moment were here on earth is not guaranteed and the rapture or death could come right now, after I finish posting, 50 years from now, or not even in my life time. I want to be spiritually ready so that when the time comes, I won't perish, but receive everlasting life with God in his kingdom of Heaven. I know that I can do it and I owe it to Jesus for giving me the chance so please pray for me if you will.

I just read through all of these prayer requests that were left here since this thread was started, and I don't know how all of these situations turned out or how many other people have read this list and prayed, but I do think God is using this thread to bring us to come and seek His aid listen to His praises, and I praise God for that.

I would like to add a prayer request for me. I have been examining myself and I have been weak in terms of spiritual disciplines. I have been struggling in terms of prayer to seek God more and ask God more. I decided to devote this summer to be more closer to Him and to learn to really be a prayer warrior, to be more discipline in prayer.

I also would like to ask for prayer for my friendship with someone. I've wronged someone and it is affecting our friendship. It may just be a matter of time but it may not. I pray that God can reconcile this dispute and uneasiness between us and that we can resolve our problems.

Please continue to send in prayer requests, and be encouraged that there are people that are still reading and praying prayers from this thread.

Not sure if this thread is still going, but if it is...My wife and I need a lot of pray for financial help. I lost my job last December and the guy who I worked for didn't have unemployment insurance. We have been able to get by but only just get by. We owe our land lords a lot of money because of this guy (wrote a lot of bad checks to pay me) Finding a new job has not been easy, and we are not able to make it any more with just my wife's income. We have a 6 month old and a 2 year old to take care of so far we are able to keep the roof over their heads but we have no idea how long that will last. Please pray for us as we are in really need of some help. It says in the Bible that when three or more come together and pray for the same thing He hears it and I truly believe it and have seen it come true as well.

well actually Matthew 18:19 works better to what I was saying "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven." Usually we ask for things in prayer. Verse 20 continues by saying," For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Mostly this talks about agreement and the power of working as a community but it can also be seen as a way to strengthen prayer. There are numerous verses about prayer and how it works some of them refer to this. But as tRIUNE kind of stated it is all in the interpretations of the verses and how you think they fit in.

So prayer is a privilege that we have, that we can personally ask God whatever that is in our mind, and God answers it, even though we are not worth answering to, but He can answer either "yes, no, or wait" to our prayers.

And if you look at the context, the verse is talking about dealing with a brother or sister sinning, and that the two or three witnesses is there to convince the person of their sin, and if they still refuse, it is taken to the church and then they are treated as pagans or tax collectors if they still refuse. So this verse is not talking about praying at all.

I do have a prayer request. It's my senior year in college. A year of excitement and nervousness in my future. I do need prayers on the financial burden that I have when I'm in college. Also, I need to finish strong, and a lot of questions and tests that will come in my way when all of this is over. Pray that God can open my eyes on what He wants me to do post-college.

proverbs 21:13, Psalm 46:10, Matthew 6:6, Matthew 7:7-11, MATTHEW 18:19-20, Matthew 21:22, Mark 10:27, Mark 11:24. That is just a few of them there is about 20 more verses. I hate to interrupt the current conversation, but I have a prayer request. Three actually. For my friends though. x3

My first friend (let's call him Tim) has had lower back pain for a while now. Doctors have said that four disks in his spine are hurt or something like that and that it will require extra attention. Now, we prayed for him in church and miraculously, three were completely healed; the doctors don't know what happened, but they're good as new. I would like you all to pray so that his last one is healed as well.

My second friend (let's call her Lily) has also been feeling a lot of pain lately. She had a constant limp due to extreme pain in her legs. We also prayed for her in church and the next thing that happened, she was running around like a kid (reminds me of the paralyzed man story). Please pray so that her pain doesn't return and she can do everything she ever wanted. ;3

Lastly, could you pray for a little boy a know (let's call him Sam)? He was blind at birth and his parents have done everything they could to give him the gift of sight. They tried multiple surgeries and transplants, but none have worked so far. One of his eyes were infected and the scar tissue there may cause him to never see out of that eye, no matter what they do. So could you pray that God would grant him sight so that he may share his joy with everyone he sees?

Someone70 : It's fantastic that you care enough about your friends that you ask for prayer for them. There is no better healer than Jehovah Rapha (The Lord our Healer). I believe that God will answer all of your prayers, either in the way you asked or in a better way that you just don't see yet .

That being said I have a prayer request of my own. They Youth Group at my church that I help out at has been very strained for number lately. I pray that we can somehow bring our numbers back up so that we can continue to minister to kids.

Long time no see guys, just wish I had something a little less taxing to post about . Basically, my baby brother Eli is only 7 weeks old but has already had 2 urinary tract infections and has reflux in his kidneys. He's on antibiotics right now and is fine, but if this keeps up it could be very damaging and he might need surgery.

Please pray for my Opa. He died a few months ago but today I am missing him all of a sudden. 

I've not been here in so long....it feels like I've totally lost touch with everything including reality.... I'm in need of serious prayer you guys....lots of things going on that are just too much for me to think about... just know that I'm sincerely grateful for any and all prayers that can be prayed for me and my family.

Hey guys. I know this is an old thread. But if anyone reads this, please pray for me as I try to finish up the rest of this semester in college; as I have a few research papers to get started on, and lots of reading and memorizing. I struggle with clinical depression and severe anxiety and adult form of ADHD (if you believe that exists). These mixed together don't really help much with my behavior about school. Most days I will just neglect all my school work and any other worries I have and be on vizzed all night. It really needs to stop, at least until I'm on a school break (like thanksgiving break coming up). Ahhh! Please guys. I'm so hard on myself and i find reprieve (sp?) in coming here and talking and playing. Thanks. (and I was spying on some earlier posts so: if two or more of you can pray for me to strengthen the prayer, that'd be awesome)

Sticking to my assignments is a daily struggle, and so is my outlook on life. I log on here everyday and often regret the amount of time I spend. I can pray for you.

I would like to ask that people pray for the family of Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, he was executed in Iran for being a Christian and not renouncing Christ. So please keep his family in your prayers. Sometimes I get too lazy to do things that I would like to do, when I start to do something (such as study informatics, karate or anything else) I get animated at first, doing good progress, but after a while, I lose the will to continue what I'm doing, I don't have patience to make different things, I only have patience for video games, and I would like to not give up easily from doing stuff.

My family is in a pretty bad place. I know God is using this to build up my faith, but it's just so hard.

Please pray for me in a couple of things.

1) I have one more semester of school left, and my grades are considered mediocre, and I am a little concerned about the topic of my future and grad school, so pray that God would reveal a road for my future, and that God would lead me towards a purpose that can bring Him glory and that is well suited for me and my skills and talents

2) My family is in a tight financial situation and I am trying to find a job around this area before I head back to my school. Please pray for our family and that I can find a job that can help out this situation.

3) Pray for my brother. He is going to be a senior in high school and there are many questions and answers about his direction in college. Pray that God would be with him in wherever he is going and what his dreams and goals are for his future.
