Halo: Reach

Halo Reach; Still my favorite game.
Halo Reach is personally my favorite entry in the Halo series, even without fan favorite Master Chief as the main character. I still play it to this day to reminisce about Halo before Bungie's transition to Destiny, and before 343 took helm of the franchise. And even after all these years, Halo Reach is still one of the best Halo games out there and I'd recommend that anyone who owns an Xbox 360 or and Xbox One get a physical copy and experience the game for themselves.

Graphics
The graphics in this game are pretty impressive for the time they were made in. A lot of the models for Spartan reflect a lot of grit and are dirty from the war on Reach. Each spartan's armor makes them look different from the squad, Kat being the teams tech specialist wears light armor, with Jorge being the brute of the squad wearing large chest pieces and shoulder pads. Even the new enemies like the Skirmishers look like true covenant aliens to be feared along with the giant ships that glass cities and a large spectacle looking like it was taken directly out of a film. However during cutscenes when there is many characters moving at once, the motion blur is dialed up to 11, making it taxing on the eyes whenever the team moves together. Aside from that however, the game's skyboxes are the best they've been in Halo, with it depicting an actual war that you can see raging on in the distance, giving the war on Reach a dark gritty feel that reflects the tone of the story.

Sound
The sounds in Halo have always been amazing and this game is no exception to that. Every weapon and vehicle in this game has their own sound that differentiates them from other weapon in the entire game. Covenant weapons may sound like true alien weapons, while UNSC weapons reflect the militaristic weapons that are used today, just updated to look like weapons of the future. The music in this game also facilitates the sound design, Marty O'Donnell's score really hits home what Halo Reach i... Read the rest of this Review

Significant Downgrade From Previous Game
No reviews for this game? Can't really blame anyone for not wanting to review this game. It's a below average game that doesn't bring anything new to the franchise as a whole, and instead removes features and doesn't add much of anything to suffice or take its place. It's repetitive and easy to complete within a few days, with only brief moments that up the difficulty.

Graphics
Graphics are nothing impressive. They're pretty bad when viewed from a distance, and they look even worse when up close. All the models in the game besides your main character look abysmal and rushed. Most of the models are cell-shaded, but you won't be able to tell unless you're up close. The vehicle textures don't look impressive at all, especially interiors, and the weapon textures don't do much better either. Overall, the textures look rushed and unfinished.

Sound
The game's sound is better than the graphics, but that isn't saying much. There are some impressive sounds such as when battling freaks, you hear their footsteps and roars from the distance, but it's still nothing new that we haven't seen before. Sound effects are better than the rest of the game, but the sound design alone can't save the rest of the game.

Addictiveness
This game isn't addictive at all. Case and point. The missions are repetitive and there are so few of them you'll never get tired of them because by the time you're sick of doing them, you've already completed all of them. None of the side activities beg to be played again, and most of them aren't even available for replayability except for the final mission. And once of you complete the game, enemies that you fight will almost be nonexistent, and most buildings that were once occupied with hostiles are now occupied with bland, boring, copy and pasted friendly peacekeepers who all have similar lines and voice actors.

Story
The story in this game is very, VERY short and not really focused on beyond the introducti... Read the rest of this Review
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim fun, but repetitive.
Skyrim is a great game that has lots of amazing content in it, but unfortunately after completing the main storyline, gets repetitive and takes quantity over quality.

Graphics
The graphics in Skyrim are great, though can still under perform in a lot of areas. Things such as trees, rocks, and grass are low-res, while the models on races such as the Argonians and Khajiit are greatly improved, along with the other races. The graphics are great, but can still look mediocre compared to other games on the PC.

Sound
The sound in skyrim however is amazing. During game play, unless you have headphones plugged it, you won't hear the extremely well done sound design of the world around you. The sounds really reach their peak when battling Dragons. The dragon's roars as they fly through the sky are very impressive and sound extremely realistic. However, the weapon sound effects can be lacking in some areas, as some weapons don't sound as brutal as they should be, such as war axes and maces.

Addictiveness
Once you get the game going, you'll immediately be immersed into it, and you'll want to continue playing over and over until you make every possible different choice. However, upon beating the main quest line, most of the other quest lines are seriously lacking. With only short doses of entertainment and the game gets really repetitive, especially with quest lines such as the Civil War quest, which you don't really get to experience the large and land-breaking war you hear all of the NPCs speak about, but never actually see. You only see the results, which is seriously disappointing. Once you beat the all of the guild quest lines, the main story and the civil war, even though there are lots of other quest lines, most of them are repetitive and generic. And most follow the same format, "Hi, I need you to get this for me. Okay, now that you've gotten me this, come with me so we can fight some more Draugr. Now that we've fought more Drau... Sims 2 Review
To start out, Sims 2 is a very good Sims game. It is one of my personal favorite games and is very creative and fun to play through. Though, the game does tend to get a bit confusing and difficult at some parts, and also is hard to keep your character healthy.

To start the graphics are really mediocre for a PSP game. Game like Prince Of Persia, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto etc. All show the PSP graphics that can immediately catch your eye. However, Sims 2 doesn't focus on this. They don't focus so much on the graphics or the sound. But it's true area where it shines is one you start playing through the game.

This game is really addictive. Even now, I'm still playing through making choices that will later impact what will happen next. It immediately gets you to replay the game, this time with different choices. And each choice makes a difference. Playing as any gender will have an impact, making me play as both female and male and enjoying the different dialogues some characters may have, having to make sure I don't lose all my money, lose all my friends, and many more.

The story here takes more of a supernatural theme to it. Where you are in the desert looking for a home when a woman gives you her home. However, upon moving in, you find out that the house is haunted with ghosts. And it's your job to get them out. And while trying to get them out, you meet everyone in town. Neighbors that love that you moved it, neighbors that hate you, friends, robots, scientists and much more. You even end up visiting the military towards the end and even finding out about their secret projects. The game also has so much to offer. You can chat with people, to increase your friendship, or you can flirt to increase your romantic relationship, or you can intimidate people to decrease both your romantic relationship and your friendship. If you do any of these, after a certain point they will tell you a secret, which is sometimes dark, and sometimes funny, and other ... Read the rest of this Review
Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai

Dragon Ball Z Shin Review.
Well, to start, the games graphics look really nice, especially for a PSP game. And it matches well with the sound and music. Though however it is still the same sound effects as every other DBZ fighting game, but regardless it still looks pretty nice and has good sound. The addictiveness however, I didn't really find myself playing once I beat the game. I mean, the story it just like any other dragon ball z game. And upon beating the game, I didn't really have that much left to do besides go to arcade mode and get dragon balls. The story isn't much better, it followed the storyline of the movie Dragon Ball Z Fusion Reborn, which again is something every other dragon ball z game has done, it would've been nice if they tried their own storyline and tried adding a new exclusive character that they made up. But they didn't and instead followed just like every other DBZ game out there. Now, the is something I did like about the story. Is that you can actually make your own choices later in the game. I personally love games that have this element to them. It immediately makes me want to go and replay and try the different storylines this time with a different decision. Too bad the rest of the story isn't nothing spectacular. Now, the depth of the game is nothing special. Except I think it's lower than all of the other DBZ Fighting games. Simply because of the lack of great moves and attacks for each character's transformations and power-ups. They all still have the same moves except their ultimate. Which is really disappointing since games like Dragon Ball Z budokai tenkaichi 3 have given much more depth for these games. Even Dragon Ball Z SuperSonic Warriors had more moves once characters transformed. The game though it pretty hard. I mean, I am speaking for someone who hasn't played a DBZ game in awhile, but when I played this I had trouble. The A.I. Is pretty tough on normal. And I haven't tried it any lower or any higher difficulties. So, if you're new to fighting ga... Read the rest of this Review
