Star Wars Battlefront

Best PS2 Game I've Played
Star Wars Battlefront II was by far the best game that I ever saw offered on the PlayStation 2 system, because honestly, nothing else even came close. Everything about this game is absolutely excellent, it really didn't have any flaws to be spoken of whatsoever, and I could keep playing it again and again and again without ever getting bored, just because it had so much to offer me.

Graphics: 9
I, personally, have never seen graphics on a play station 2 game that are as good as this one's. They're still very limited, but they certainly pushed the system to its very limits everywhere from the menus to game play itself. Even the guns are very much detailed, and it is very obvious even from the beginning that a great deal of work was put into this particular category, as even the largest of constructs, such as capital ships in space combat, have vivid and precise details, as does the entirety of every map. The only reason that I don't give them a ten in this category is because there are some glitches in the graphics in general.

Not that I'm trying to take anything away. Even the shots from the blasters all have different colors, lengths, speeds, it really is an absolutely incredible feet of imagery, especially when the light sabers get involved.

Sound: 10
Absolutely phenomenal here. The sound effects of the game are immersive in and of them selves, with various sounds of different weapons, turrets, vehicles, rotating guns, the movement of walkers, it's all so absolutely wonderful, and it all sounds very much realistic, and as it did in the movies. But what puts this over the edge are the way that they threw in dozens of sound bytes consisting of different characters talking, either, from commanders, to the player giving an update on the battle, or from allies giving the player a warning. Often you can even here the enemy taunting your forces or ordering a retreat and the like. This creates an atmosphere that completely sucks you in t... Read the rest of this Review

A Fun Adventure Across Ancient Greece
Alright, so this is my first review, and the first review that this game has gotten on Vizzed. The game was wholesome, and, in my opinion, very good over all, although I know it's taken a bit of heat, but this is what I think about it, and maybe you'll want to play it after reading this review, maybe not.
This is one of many games on the Nintendo DS system that involves an RPG, and while this particular release, unlike some others on the mobile device, is no classic, never set any records, and is not very well known, it's l a good experience, all things considered, with a lot of quality despite its low-profile.

Graphics: 6
Wow, that's a great way to start off a review that was supposed to convince you that this is a great game. The graphics, over all, are about on par with other Nintendo DS games, honestly, and are better than some games on the device and much worse than others. While you can clearly see what you're supposed to be looking at, and there is enough detail for it to look good, the graphics certainly aren't great or ground breaking by any description. This isn't good enough to make the game, but neither is it bad enough to break it.

Sound: 5
Here, not so good. The game shows very little dialogue, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the complete and utter lack of any sound coming from the characters themselves is certainly not a help, with the closest thing to a character having audio being a sound similar to a deflating balloon being triggered when an enemy or player character is defeated. On the other hand, the game's sounds are decent for where they are used, with battle sound effects being good enough with physical combat while the magic is actually pretty well done despite the very low number of sound bytes the game uses, but again, this isn't what saved the sound portion of the game.  Honestly, the best part of the sound is the music, which is actually rather good for setting the mood that the developers were...
