Just hopped back on after another year of absence or so, and your post describes how I feel. I actually joined Vizzed around the same age as you did, and I was (and still am) blown away by David'd vision and continuous commitment to this site. Just like you said, this site gave me hours upon hours of fun during the earlier years and I, too, would like to extend by thanks to David. Joined at 12, now I'm 20... time flies, doesn't it?

Just popped back on this site for the first time in a while after remembering nostalgic days spent playing retro games and going on mad posting sprees for Exp.
Also eating an awesome slow cooker meal I just made, definitely the highlight of my day.
EDIT: Also wondering what the heck happened to my post background, don't know how to fix that

Leftover beans that were stir-fried with onions and peppers. It's the filling for taco nights and usually there's more filling than tacos.

Xenoblade Chronicles.

It's probably as much the circumstance of when I played it along with the game itself - I was at the right age and time to get absorbed into its fantastical world. All of its locations are massive yet very traversable. Its features are fine-tuned for great convenience - save anywhere, anytime, change the time to whatever hour whenever you want, and good skip travel. You don't have to go back to an NPC to complete a typical quest, and the game rewards and incentivizes exploration.
The game encourages you to scour the farthest corners of the world by making death rather unpunishing, just kicking you back to the last major location. It also gives exp, skill points, and arts points for finding new locations. The drive to explore is further boosted by the sheer beauty and finesse of its locations.
The story is also very well done, and makes you care about the characters. Plus, the soundtrack is top-notch - Yoko Shimomura and ACE+ worked with a myriad of other musicians to make it.

It's okay if you don't like competitive games, not everyone likes to play games as a competition. If you don't like them, don't play them. If your friends are all playing one that you don't like, just ask if you can be in their  Skype/Discord or something. You can still chat with them even if you aren't playing. My friends are obsessed with League, and they love it when I ask a question and they get to unload their game knowledge onto me.

TL;DR: Play vidya how you want

This steps over the line of the anti-Confederate sentiment. The Confederate flag was significant and justifiably offensive due to it representing more than just history. To many, it represents slavery and racism, and flying it is akin to flying the Nazi flag, albeit to quite a lesser degree. However, this does not mean that the Confederate flag should not be in history books. This does not in any way mean that we should sweep our past under the rug. To move forward, we must face our past transgressions, and learn from them.

The statue of Robert E. Lee is important to history. Unlike a flag, which is a picture that represents a place and certain ideals, Robert E. Lee was a person who served in the war. The statue itself doesn't necessarily honor his accomplishments, nor does it put him in a dishonorable light. It merely acknowledges his significance, and the fact that he had a large impact on out country's history.

I don't think "unique and creative" quite applies to my user name. Alas, I am stuck with it, and I have grown to love it.

It's pronounced just how it looks. The creativity of a fifth-grader in all of its "glory".

Recently, I was pondering how the Pokémon series could be shaken up a bit without destroying the core game mechanics. I love the series, but it's become just a little bit repetitive over the years. Making slight tweaks to battle mechanics, under the hood workings, and adding more Pokémon, moves, etc. can only do so much. So I thought... what else? I came up with an idea.
What if there were singular boss battles (say against legendary Pokémon and other powerful things) that had the health equivalent of an entire team of 6 Pokémon, but reasonable attack power? They wouldn't be able to be captured in the boosted state, of course. Imagine fighting against a mech belonging to the evil team, or a super powered Pokémon during the story. After the story, there could be a chance to capture it when it has reasonable health (if it even was a Pokémon).
I think this mechanic would be interesting to freshen up the stories or aftergames. Of course, status conditions would make ridiculously short work of these guys, so they'd probably have different fundamental interactions with the main mechanics.
What do you think? Got any semi-interesting ideas of your own?

Tyrunt is a Pokemon with a mediocre typing that has a lacking movepool until level 37. Considering one generally obtains it at level 20, this is awful. With the use of TMs, however, it becomes a force. STAB Rock Tomb and Bulldoze, along with its already known Bite (later upgraded to Crunch) will carry it far. Its ability, Strong Jaw, is nice, as it significantly boosts biting moves. Unfortunately, unless bred, Tyrunt cannot learn the elemental fangs that pair so well with this ability, making it pretty much a Crunch booster.
Tyrunt also has an abysmal Special Defense and bad Speed. These in tandem lead to it being KO'd easily. While somewhat atoned for with its very nice Attack stat, it is not balanced out.

Overall, I give Tyrunt a 5/10. It's majorly lacking in many areas, but it hits HARD.

The next Pokemon for your consideration is Heatmor.

The term "Drugs" is a vast umbrella covering a multitude of substances that range from mostly beneficial to mostly harmful. For legalization, I believe they should be taken on a case-by-case basis. While I believe marijuana should be legal for people to use (with similar restrictions to alcohol) as they please, I don't feel the same about bath salts. Some drugs actually cause people to go on substance-fueled rampages, which I think should not be legal, as it takes too muck time and resources to subdue them. Although, one could argue that alcohol is legal and it also can lead to drunken stupidity/violence. I've stated my opinion, take it or leave it. All I want is a better world.

Metapod is awful. AWFUL. It has an extremely low base stat total, it learns no attacks, and even if you carried over tackle from Caterpie, its base attack is 20. None of its base stats are higher than 55, with that going to Defense. Finally, Butterfree is only decent due to one move, Quiver Dance.

Next up is Klinklang.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
