I get a tiny bit nervous before major tests, but it's nothing compared to some people--I'm talking about hyperventilating kids. A bunch of people at my school are obsessed with getting into an Ivy League school  and claim that they won't be successful if they don't --and don't even ask about when they are about to get a test back....

The intros make me cringe and clench my ears in agony for some reason. But he's pretty funny. For some reason, I've thought about what it would be like to have his basement to myself

GTA [insert name] ...I used to laugh like crazy while suiciding off of buildings and creating chain reaction car explosions on the highways. A vivid memory I have from GTAA is when I jumped out of a helicopter and died on the spinning Burger Shot sign. I had to turn the volume down at cutscenes so my mother wouldn't hear all of the swearing XD

@Singelli It has to be presented to the class, and it doesn't matter how we study our topics. It could be research, an experiment, or even developing a theory.

@pray75 I'm interested in every science topic (biology, chemistry, physics, geology, astronomy, forensics, etc.)

Overall, I want to leave a good mark with this project, so I want to make it pretty "rigorous", so to speak. The tougher, the better, but I don't want to have to buy much. Is that possible?

What about other people? I've seen a 29 and a 34 on a quiz we just had, as well as an 18 and a 16 last year. Anybody have those beat?

I have a Science project (8th grade, advanced
class) that allows you to focus on any topic you want, presented however you
want. I would appreciate some ideas (2,000 Viz to the person whose idea I
select!). PowerPoints are not allowed. I am under low budget or even no budget,
but I also want to make my project memorable. Keep it cheap but creative!

I'm in an advanced 8th grade science class and I have a teacher who doesn't explain things well. He introduced an AP Physics unit just for fun a couple of weeks ago and I have an easy Mechanical Advantage test coming up that has nothing to do with it. There will be a 100-point bonus question based on what we learned in the AP unit, though. I have a suspicion that it has to do with this question:

"An arrow is fired at a speed of 40m/s, horizontally from a height of 2 meters. How far away does the arrow land?"

I understand some of this stuff already, but my teacher taught this in a terrible way. Can I get some hints on how to do this? (Don't give away the answer please)

By the way, my teacher has a tendency to go overboard with extra credit; I once got a 188 on a quiz and a 150 on a mid-term This time there's 2 25-point bonuses and, of course, this 100-pt. bonus!

I may seem stupid by saying this, but I prefer burgers because they are easier to eat. There, I said it. Fresh pizza always seems to fall apart or flood with grease. Burgers are great for putting what you want on them without a kahooey of ingredients all over the table . By the way, has anyone noticed how the front tip of a pizza slice always tastes the best??

Many people say that most video games, movies, etc. are getting worse, and I agree. Even beloved classics like Mario are plummeting and even modern series like The Sims seems to be losing its "shine". Well known phrases/lines seem to all come from older movies/games. I want to see whether you guys agree with me and why it's happening. I have three theories:

1. We are running out of ideas
2. We are becoming more accustomed to rated-R content (less bleeps, sexual references, etc.) making games less appealing to those used         to restrictions
3. We are desperate for money and are weeding out quick titles for a quick buck.

I work really hard on getting really far in the games, get a high score on a site,  and end up with a huge exclamation point in a circle, meaning that the game crashed. Happens every time...

Other than that, the BTD series is really awesome (though like all game series, BTD6, if it happens, won't be as good as BTD5)

I think I cursed myself by making this thread! Yesterday a face popped up out of nowhere on some site link. It didn't really scare me  because I was on a screamer site, but I didn't expect a screamer to be hidden in a link!

Out of 100, what's the worst score you've ever gotten on a quiz or test? Here's mine:

In my science class in 7th grade we had this binder-check that I didn't know about. I ended getting a 40. It was a shock because I almost always get A's on everything, and I had never failed anything like this in my life. I even remember the scores for each portion of the binder:

Do Nows (assignments when you first arrive to class) : 25/25
Handouts: 15/25
Notes: 0/25
Overall: 0/25

I don't get how Overall ended up being a 0/25 but whatever. I still laugh thinking about this!
