This is  a really good idea, and I would have loved to watch this. It's a shame that you didn't explain it very well in the intro post.

I'm sorry, but I need to say something.

But first, let me preface that I'm not doing this to offend or annoy. This is an open discussion, on an open forum, and I simply feel the need to speak from the heart.

You know, there's a funny thing about the hatred behind steam.

I've NEVER ONCE actually ran into someone who hated steam that wasn't completely, blindly, vehemently opposed to so much so much as the mere discussion of digital downloads. From what I've seen from every person that I've come across Steam, you either hate them for because the politics involved with it, or you're very comfortable being ignorant about it.

If this isn't your friends case, and he's the first exception behind his, then I'm going to request that you explain the reasoning behind his personal ire for it if you want an actual explanation, because otherwise I feel like you're completely wasting both your time, and the time that anyone else who would actually spend explaining how great Steam is.

Alright, so I've got two questions to ask.

1. I'll take it that it's an extremely hard game, and unless you're really good at action games, quite frankly I should save my viz, right?

2. How should I put his? With Nintendo 64 titles, if I play them by myself there's no lag, but if I play them(or even so much as become a spectator in them.) there's a LOT of lag. Would I more than likely have the same issues with any TGCD title?

Thank you so much for your time, and I hope that you get to enjoy Dungeon Explorer or whatever the second word is.

Have you made your review yet? Because I can't seem to find it.

Still looking forward to it.

I didn't actually play more than 3 or so hours of Brawl, but IIRC, the hammer was in both of them.

It was just so funny how much of a game changer that could be, and it's just so fitting considering how insane the games are.

I sometimes wish that I owned a gamecube and wii so I could play more of them.

Wow...as if you didn't have enough of my admiration and respect already!

I mean, You've made it so anyone who logs into this site by default can make at least 1 local session a day, and you made it so anyone who buys the netplay item can do all of that for free?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You are so awesome! Thank you so much!

Then why is it that there is not one review that actually goes over the basic plot of the game?

I skimmed every review, and no one gives a clear answer on this. Most just say that it's great. And one comment on it in a way that you'd have to play the game itself to understand.

Oh, did I post this in the wrong section? Alright, I'm sorry about that. For some reason I thought that I was on a forum specifically for that game.

Just as well then, since I can get a bit more focus on the more pressing issue, so thanks.

Yes, there is a review for it, but it's a complete waste of existence, as it basically tells you NOTHING that you wouldn't know without reading the barely tangible description for the game.

A debug mode seems promising, but I'd like to know of some SPECIFIC features before investing any time in it.

This is also why I think that there should be some rules behind making a review, because right now the vast majority of them are written in a way that doesn't even require you to play the game.

legacyme3 : Dear god can I relate to this.

Me, I look at the mistakes that others make that I still constantly do, and I try to tell people when they're making the same ones, and hope that they'll realize what they're doing so it's not as habit forming for them.

I will say that suffering through something certainly can help you endure related situations, and it can also help you realize how to deal with similar situations that may happen in the future.

It's the same thing with the mistakes that you will make in your life.

Wow....just....

Ok, before I begin, I want to give full disclosure. I don't say any of the following to insult or annoy anyone here. This is an open discussion, in an open forum, and this topic makes me want to speak from the heart.

First of all, Amanda Todd is sadly victim one of several dozen a year. She's just one of the victims that the media decided to focus on for several reasons. There's much worse victims out there as well, such as the few girls that I've heard about that aren't obese at all, but the people that they have to deal with AT SCHOOL that kept telling her to kill herself, and then they bragged about getting her to do so on facebook, with the mention of this getting several thousand likes.

But here's the thing. These victims are already dead, and there's nothing at this point that you could do for them.

If you want this to stop happening, focus less on those that have already committed suicide, and  look for people of all ages who want to kill themselves, and listen to them first and foremost. You see, they're rarely they're rarely paid attention to until it's too late, and find out their actual strengths(Don't just tell them what they want to hear), and help them see them within themselves. And yes, I do say this from my own personal experience.

brawler456 : Is there a reason why you didn't actually say what the storyline actually is, and just BARELY touched on a few events in the game?

It sounds like it's got a much better plot than any official Pokémon title, but you didn't tell me anything about it.

OK...um...

I mean you no offense, but you misunderstand me.

First of all, what I'm aiming to do is not to just write reviews, but instead first impressions. I don't usually get that far in the game at all, maybe the first 1-3 levels or so depending on the game.

Second of all, the idea is that I post on a specific forum, not on each specific game board. If I did that, all that would happen is that it would be read only if someone specifically went to that games url. The main idea is to tell people about games they have never played before, and help them decide if the game might be worth giving a shot.

And finally, again I mean no offense to anyone, but well...I think It's amazing how many games are on this site. I don't think I've ever seen a site like this, at least not with as big of a library, but I'll be covering not just games on this site, but other games as well(but at the same time, they'll be games for systems this site covers.)

Anyways, I hope that explains everything. Hope what I'm aiming to do will work on these forums. Again, still looking for a suggestion on what specific forum on this site I should cover it on.

Hi everyone, how's it going?

My name is Superrpgman, from well...I'm not sure I can say the name of the website I have been posting in the last 10 years or so without it being considered spamming, so I'll just say that it's a very well known site among gamers that's all about helping others in games(Or at least it was meant to be that way. Unfortunately, on many active game boards, you get a lot of people telling you to go away if you ask for any form of help at all, and there's a constant amount of people on certain boards literally announcing that they're here to troll, and no action takes place on them. That said, the site is quite good for older games.)

Anyways, I found this site while looking for a translation for an SNES game from 1992. I had no idea that anything like this site existed. I have every SNES, NES, and Genesis game on this site(and then some) but the fact that there seems to be the option to discuss so many retro games on this site(and I don't mean on a bunch of inactive boards) is what really has drawn me to this site.

Anyways, as for what I'd like to do on this site is continue a project I started over a year ago off and on.

I used to have a project on this site that I go to the most where I would play 10-20 minutes of a certain amount of NES games a day Monday through Friday(started with 7, then 5, then 3, then 3 and 1 Black and White Game Boy game), and then do a text explanation. Kinda give each game a first impression. The idea is that by doing this I both learn about some games that might be worth playing myself that I've never given a chance, and introduce others to games they themselves never really heard of.

It got kinda old though, because almost no one seemed to care, even on the somewhat active NES board of that site. The site that I love so much...well, a lot of people on the site are not too keen on reading posts that are more that 2 sentences long(and I gave my first impressions in the form of anywhere from 1-3 paragraphs.) I'd play the games in the order of its release date according to well...a site I'm not sure I could say the name of without it being considered spamming.

Anyways, no promises, but if anyone is interested, I'd like to continue this project. What I'd like to do this time is again play 10-20 minutes a day(Monday through Friday) of 3(or more) different games covering up to 3 different systems(mainly NES, SNES, and Game Boy). Judging by this sites rules, It seems like this websites forums would be the perfect place to continue this project.

Anyways, if you've read this, and it sounds interesting to you, please tell me, along with what board I should post it on.

Thank you for your time.
