Hello, I'm Zyphe_X and this is my review of Zelda: The legend of link. A ROM hack of The legend of Zelda for the NES.

Over all (9.5)
So I spent around a week playing this ROM hack in an attempted completion. After much struggle I did manage to clear the game.
I felt it was well made for the most part besides some minor glitches and a little lag. The game was larger in scale then the original
The legend of Zelda as the over world map was custom made witch added some difficulty in navigation. This game defiantly deserves
to be played by Zelda fans as it presents the story of link before the happenings of The legend of Zelda.

Graphics (6)
I gave this ROM hack a 6 in graphics because it uses some custom sprites out side the other Zelda titles.
I also chose to rate it a little higher then the 4 I originally was going to give it simply because graphics are not the only thing that make
a game great.

Sounds (8)
I love the music of this game. It combines music from many of the Zelda games in to this one game. The over world, the dungeons, and even caves had different music. I've always enjoyed the music of the Zelda sires and to be able to hear many different tunes in one game was a treat for sure. So I give the sounds and music for this game an 8.

Addictiveness (8)
Anyone who has played a Zelda title should know how addictive they can be. This game is no different. I kept coming back to game
every day for around a week while trying to beat the game. I would get stuck and give up on it just to find myself playing it again within the same hour. So I give this ROM hack an 8 because you will keep you coming back to play it.

Story (4)
This game didn't have any real plot to follow other then that you play as link and need to destroy ganon. You don't even get told were to go just like the original Zelda, you just have to wander around until you find something. however there was one thing in the game that did help you find were you needed to go, the map. Once you buy the map from one of the many stores in the game you can hold the (A) button and it will show you the dungeon locations giving you something of a guide to follow. For this reason I gave the story a low 4, but don't let it stop you from playing this great game.

Depth (5)
I gave this game a 5 in depth because it felt like this was a story told before the first Zelda game. That this was the original Link, the hero who was chosen by the gods to be reborn threw out time when needed by the world. As I stated at the top, this game has a custom over world map. For that reason navigation can be very hard and some items are found on the over world rather then in the dungeons and finding your way to said items can be very hard due to road blocks and dead ends.

Difficulty (8)
THIS GAME IS HARD!! I had a lot of trouble playing this game on many different occasions. For the most part the game is fairly simple, that is until you can't find a specific item you might need in order to progress in the game. Many of the mobs are not that hard to take out, its mostly navigation and finding hidden items for the most part. The last dungeon in the fist half the game is very hard and the last dungeon of the second half is also very hard. So this is why I give this game a 8 in difficulty.

So... Under the NES section of games I came across a ROM hack someone made called. "Zelda : The legend of Link"
This insistently caught my eye as I am a fan of the games. I started playing this ROM and found my self stuck a few times. I managed to complete the 1st and 2ed dungeons in the game. From there I started makeing my way to the 3rd. Once I found the third I was stuck again because I need the power glove or the power bracelet depending on the sprite and item name to move a rock blocking the way.

I have spent a few hours wandering around looking for the required item but have yet to find it. If anyone else has played this game
please tell me were to find the said item. ( power glove / power bracelet) Thanks!

I beleave that the current version of the RGR 2.41 is bugged in that the ROMs will load then auto force close on the emulator.
I have gone back to the previous version 2.40 and the ROMs load and play normally.
Should any one have issues with the RGR v. 2.41. Simple uninstall it, then install the 2.40 and your games should load.

So far I have tried to load up at least 10 games and the emulator forces the game to close. I don't know why the games won't load. I have the RGR plug in, and I'm using the recommended browser. My flash player is up to date and everything seems to be running optimally.

So I recently had to reset my computer and such, re-download all of windows 7... So I had to reinstall the RGR. The plug in is working and the ROMs will load, that is until it finishes, then the ROM automatically forces close preventing me from even getting to play the game. I could really use some help in this situation... Is the site doing fixes? Or is this a reoccurring issue that has yet to be fixed? I love this site for all the retro games that I use to play as a kid. So I would like to know what's going on with the ROMs auto closing... Is there a simple fix? If so I would really like to know... Thank you for your time...

So I tried to load the GBA game Mario and Luigi : super star saga. The box stated that the ROM was loading.... how ever the game wouldn't load. I even gave it a few min to see if it would start but it didn't. So I was wondering if the ROM had issues or if its something else... I've played this game in the past and it loaded just fine before. If anyone knows what's up... please inform me... Also I have the most up to date RGR plug in... so I know that's not the issue.

If a zombie world take over happened money would be useless everything would become a live or die situation and in that case I would brace my home and set a plan to look for any survivors and to look for food. In that case traveling with out a weapon would be retarded so Id have a blade of some kind even if I would have to improvise sence I think a gun would be useless once you ran out of ammo. So my plan would be... #1 prepare a safe house,
#2 find/make a weapon for safety purposes, #3 stock pile food, and #4 look for survivors.

Zoom Zoom Zoom what good is strength when you cant be caught. Speed beats strength because if your mocho chances are your slow and so you in a fight or race you'd lose wile with speed a race is nothing and in a fight you could land twice or even three times more blows.

Sonic is one of my fav games out their so I'd have to side with speed over str.

Any game that I could play all night with out getting a wink of sleep would have to be call of duty modern warfare (1). Its because its hard to fall asleep when you have bombs and gun fire going off all around you. The only reason why I have that written down is because that the only game I currently own for my PS3, but Id also say other war games would be just as effective at keeping you awake through the night no problem.
