Why would I need a net play session to play with my brother?

And I tried to do that, it would not let the 2nd one register.

Is there a way to play 2 player Nintendo 64 games with xpadder, and two retrolink N64 USB controllers?
I tried multiple times, and multiple ways, and the second paddle wont register, only the first one.

I recently bought a retrolink USB nintendo 64 controller, and when I try to use it the controles are all messed up, even when I switch the controls to what they are supposed to be they still dont work.

I read about getting the xpadder, and that doesnt seem to work either.

I am making this thread to help people that may have questions or are having trouble with this game.

There seems to be some things in this game that people are unaware of, some being...
The amount of Pokémon you can catch
How to use your moves
When you can evolve
Chances of recruiting Pokémon
and there may be others...

All 386 Pokémon are obtainable in this game.
To use your moves go to your moves in the menu set a move then press A+X to use the move.
You can not evolve until you have completed story mode.

After you complete story mode if you go to gulpin link shop, you can relearn any moves that you could learn from an earlier level. It is free to do. An example is a Charizard can learn heatwave at level 1 so once you get charizard you can get gulpin to teach him that move.

All Pokémon Have set recruiting percentages and they can be changed by 2 things and 2 things only The friend bow, and your level. I have seen people say IQ, rescue rank, and team size affects it. IQ does not affect the recruit rate, Rank does not affect it, and as long as the Pokémon can fit in your party size does not matter either.

How to recruit a Pokémon.
Get the final hit with your starter
Pokémon must be no more than 1 tile away from your starter when defeated.

Here is the level bonus
1- 29 0.0%

30- 39 5.0%
40- 49 7.5%
50- 59 10.0%
60- 69 12.5%
70- 79 15.0%
80- 89 17.5%
90-100 24.0%
Friend bow gives 10% increase so maximum increase is 34%.
Here is a link that shows every Pokémon's recruitment %.

Wish stone:
If you beat Jirachi on 99F in Wish Cave, and either don't
recruit it (or reject it's offer), if you have this item
on you, it will give you one of these wishes:
"Lots of Money"-Jirachi gives around 10k-18k Poke. Money!
"Lots of Items"-Jirachi gives random items from Wish Cave.
"Friend Area"-Jirachi will buy you a Friend Area you need.
"More Power"-Jirachi gives Joy Seeds and stat drinks.
"Something Good?"-The next day, Jirachi will raise your
rescue rank to the next level, or give you a non-boss
Pokémon you don't have.

IQ
IQ is raised by feeding your Pokémon gummies.
Depending on the type of gummy your Pokémon will be affected differently.
They also fill your belly if in a dungeon. Gummies do not increase belly size.
Gummi matches Pokémon Type: +7 Increases belly 60
Gummi is strong against your Pokémon Type: +4 Increases belly 30
Gummi is neutral against your Pokémon Type: +3 Increases belly 25
Gummi is weak against your Pokémon Type: +2 Increases belly 20
Gummi is ineffective against your Pokémon Type: +1 Increases belly 5

Dual Typed Pokémon gain IQ faster, because they gain IQ from their first, and second type.

Raising your IQ can be very beneficial in this game.
You can see about how much IQ your Pokémon has by looking at the stars it has,
the number of stars they have is how much IQ they have.
1 Star: 0 IQ
2 Stars: 10 IQ
3 Stars: 50 IQ
4 Stars: 100 IQ
5 Stars: 150 IQ
6 Stars: 200 IQ
7 Stars: 300 IQ
8 Stars: 400 IQ
9 Stars: 500 IQ
10 Stars: 600 IQ
11 Stars: 700 IQ
12 Stars "MAX": 990 IQ

When a Pokémon maxes out its IQ It gains the ability "Super Mobile".
This ability allows the Pokémon to walk on all terrain, and be able to dig through walls.

Also IQ is good because some Pokémon only evolve when there IQ is high,
and some Pokémon only learn certain moves when their IQ is high
Ex. Pichu evolves with min 200 IQ points or 6 stars.
charizard learns blast burn at level 99 with a min. 333 IQ points
Pichu learns Volt Tackle with 333 IQ and being over level 50.

Here is a guide for stat gains based on your Pokémon's level.
It is long so I suggest using Crl + F to find your Pokémon faster
http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/929408-pokemon-mystery-dungeon-red-rescue-team/faqs/40396

I think that is It for now.
