I just thought I'd let y'all know Hall of Famer and football analyst Michael Irvin has to go through tests for possible throat cancer. I had heard a couple of weeks ago when I was watching a football analysis he had a hard time speaking and at first I thought it was just laryngitis. Little did I know it was way worse. But I know he'll beat this cancer if he has it, but my prayers are still with him.  I'll leave a link for y'all for a little bit more information.

I'd like to thank everyone for responding so quickly and efficiently on this. I'll tell him as soon as I can, and again, thanks. This is another reason I have to like this place, because on other forums, I wouldn't get a response so quickly.

My nephew is trying to log back in after a long time and he forgot his password, but knows his email and username and checks the email, including all his folders, but the reset password link is not there.  Here is his information in case you need it:

A quick response to this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Vizzed, I hope you enjoy your time here. I know I have. Personally, I didn't like arcade games that much(Exceptions: John Elway's Quarterback, Bottom of the Ninth, Moon Patrol, Dig Dug, Pac-Man). I'm old school gaming like yourself, except more into console gaming, especially NES and SNES games.

Yeah, you're right Pete, It did take me quite a while to get you in, finally I had to do the old password reset thing to get you here. I'm so glad you like it here. It's a wonderful place. I myself can't remember how long I've been here, but got very good first impressions on this place. Anyway, you're welcome Pete. It's always nice to help others, even if they are relatively new here.

I make an account for my nephew (17) and register him, but when I try to login for him on my TV(which is on my Home WiFi), I get the message "Can't login. Either you didn't type an existing username or typed the wrong password for that username."  Here is some additional information about his account in case you need to correct it, but I'll keep trying other avenues, because maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest in Japan) was the beginning of a franchise and while it's not the best one by far, it is a decent RPG by NES standards. I feel that it doesn't get the love Final Fantasy franchise does, mainly because the earlier ones didn't have very good storylines,  but that was corrected in later titles. Anyway, down to the review, the graphics are ok for NES, but then again, graphics are not why I purchase and/or play RPGs. The music is done very well, but then Koichi Sugiyama is a very good composer, to me, almost as good as Nobuo Uematsu. As for addictivness, I loved this game from the Dragon Warrior commercial spot and asked my mother if I could buy this and she said as long as I had the money, yes I could. As soon as I started playing, I was inexorably drawn to this game and the medieval speech was a big seller to me. I wanted to play this title over and over after I beat the game. The storyline is not that great, but then this game concentrates more on level grinding and combat over story, which I think is one reason the Japanese fell in love with it. It's very simplicity calls for it. The depth of this game is not that great, either, but depth wasn't what was focused on in its programming, I believe. And being simple in its gameplay, it's not all that difficult to play through. All that said, I believe this is a title that is more suited to a casual RPG gamer than a hard core one.

I recently purchased a Dragon Warrior T-Shirt(A Slime Draws Near. Command?) and I was wondering where I could get some more video game T-Shirts and for reasonable prices. I paid more than 20 dollars for this one, I'd like to get one for 10-15 dollars. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any advice.

yoshirulez! : I do have an XL model. That was the first thing I thought of when first getting a 3DS when I saw how small the screen on the regular 3DS is.

My issues with Dragon Quest VIII on 3DS are the controls and Jessicas voice over. I don't like having to switch controls from the top(when traveling in the overworld) to the bottom(when selecting in battle). And Jessicas voice over sounds very weak compared to the PS2 version. It almost sounds as she is one of the Chipmunks. Other than those issues, I have no problem with the game.  I like the fact the game gives you the maps to the dungeon and the world map right off and you don't have to acquire the world map later.  What are your issue(s) with the game, providing you even have this game?

My first video game experience was Football for Intellivision. I got creamed by the computer 41-10, so after that experience I decided I wouldn't play very many, if any sports games, and if I do play sports games, it's usually going to be in the Arcade(John Elway's Quarterback or Bottom of the Ninth).

I gave this game a rather high rating, but I believe it is truly worthy of it. The graphics are especially good for a Game Boy Color game, the sound/music is truly where this game shines. Koichi Sugiyama is truly a great video game composer and it shows in these games, and I'm surprised by the storyline, because most DQ/DW titles, that is not their strength(except for lately), but Dragon Warrior 2 amongst these two has a better storyline and I think to this day, one of the best beginnings in an RPG. And as for difficulty, it might not be the worst, but it isn't the most easy of the titles, either. The depth of Dragon Warrior 2 is far better than the original Dragon Warrior, but since you are getting both, you get to try out the best of both worlds. To me, it's one of the most addicting RPGs I've ever played. With that said, I highly recommend playing these titles.

Tonight, Jupiter and Venus will be in conjunction and according to the article 1/2 degree apart. Thing about this is, if you miss this now, you might not be able to catch it as it won't happen this way again until 2065. Anyway, here's the article describing this and telling you how to see this astronomical happening.

I actually got Dragon Warrior first on my NES, but the first game I ever beat was Final Fantasy for NES. Here's an amusing story about it. I was teaching my best friend(10 at the time) to play Final Fantasy when he said what I believe to be one of the funniest lines I ever heard. He said, "Can I go ahead and beat the boss right now?" I tried to hold in my laugh and wound up spitting all over him as it busted out, as I knew he was talking about Chaos. I was waiting for him to hit me, but he laughed with me, to my surprise.

I'd like to wish a happy birthday to what I believe was the best console on the market. According to this, it was released here on August 23, 1991. Now some of these sales figures are probably too low, but I don't know whether they stop recording after a console has been discontinued or not. If they don't, I expect the sales number for SNES to be in the hundreds of millions by now. Anyway, I'm going to post an article about it. And again, SNES, all of us gamers still love you.

My PC cost about 1700 dollars, but to me it's a monster and will last me a long time.

AMD FX 8320 Vishera Octa-Core Processor 3. 7 Ghz
ASUS M5A99 Pro R2.0 Motherboard
32 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Seagate 1 TB HDD
Western Digital 485 GB HDD
Windows 10 Professional

I thank my best friend for building this for me, even though I got the parts for it with his help.

I found a very interesting article that says our near twin planet, Venus, used to be covered in a shallow liquid water ocean. And to me, it does make sense, with Venus being so hot. The shallow ocean probably evaporated and covered the planet in clouds and that's why it got so hot, but that seems a rather pedestrian type of explanation. It also makes you wonder why our oceans wound up so deep and Venus' oceans, if it had any wound up shallow. Anyway, do y'all think Venus could've been like this at one time? I'll leave the link to the article below.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
