Disregarding local shows that I attend for city bands - the last big show that I was at happened in April when I saw The Pixies at Casino NB, while the next show I have tickets to is in September and that's Steven Page.

I really do enjoy covers - in fact I visit quite a number of blogs that keep me up to date on obscure covers from artists I don't know, and recordings of covers that popular artists do on stage, etc. I don't think there's anything that says a song should only be performed once, in one particular way.

It's really hard to pick a best characer in my mind - there are a lot of them out there with some amazing back stories, but the Green Goblin/Norman Osbourne has had one of the best arcs in recent history, so I'm going to go with him.

In turn - I never really liked Kraven The Hunter at all.

I've been playing guitar since the age of 5 - so about a decade and a half of music training under my belt that even now seems to grow every day. I'll take breaks here and there every once in a while, and I keep find myself coming back to explore new styles of music, new methods of playing, etc.

I've never really taken a look at anyones profile and I don't really expect anyone to look at mine - I don't see all the point of putting work into something to make it flashy when a small percentage of people are going to see it and an even smaller percentage are really going to care about it, meh.

UserMike :

Congrats! You've managed to prove... that six years ago. some backwater Wisconsin court made a ruling that sounded enough like "Atheism is a religion" to make a new article out of it. It still doesn't change a damn thing that's been said in here, and doesn't change fundamental definitions in a part or as a whole.

For me it was The Passion Of The Christ - I got dragged there by a religious girlfriend that i had at the time and well.. clearly I'm not the audience for it. If I had to go with a movie that I wanted to see or wasn't bothered about seeing initially.. I would have to go with 8 Mile.. ugh.

This discussion is had FAR too often and the answer is so damn clear it isn't even funny.

Atheism is not a religion - it's a complete lack thereof, it's right there in the name. Anyone who cannot accept this because they have to be able to bunch everyone up into convenient groups seriously needs to take a look at their own world view - because it's simply wrong. Atheists are not a group of people who share the same beliefs - there is no tradition, there are few atheists who group together to discuss the issue.

This is just the way it is.

How much is the Age Of Wonders set? You can buy each game individually from Good Old Games for either 5.99 or 9.99 - so if you just want to pick up one of the better versions, and then the Titan Quest set you'll be fine - because Titan Quest is friggin' awesome.

Ehhh - that still sounds really wrong to be honest, when it comes to the style that a game is created in - it really doesn't matter if the thing is designed properly.

Think of it this way - really, the two games aren't in direct competition with each other. It doesn't really come down to you play one or you play the other, Minecraft however is far more ambitions with its ever expanding updates, additions and modding community the likes of which you rarely see for a game. Terraria on the other hand, is very well designed in and of itself - some people might find themselves overwhelmed with Minecraft and let their creativity go on something a bit simpler, and there's nothing wrong with that really.

Now - there are a ton of amazing flash games out there that are 2D on sites like Newgrounds and Kongregate - a lot of them are sit down and play once affairs but they are still designed VERY well.

billythekidmonster :

Please don't tell me you're being serious with that statement? It's already been stated here but I guess it needs to be said again that the first ever Sonic game was released in 1991.

The manga for Dragon Ball, the original version started in 1984 - seven years before Sonic was a breath on the market, with the anime starting in 86 and indeed Dragon Ball Z starting in 89.

This of course still doesn't say that they're ripping anyone off - 7 is a convient number, and Dragon Ball codified a trope with the "super" versions of themselves that many series use to this day, but sheesh - get your facts straight.

I've always loved the show and while it can dip in quality or interest for a while, it always seems to pick back up at some point for me - hell, the new season is some of the best programming I've seen a while, but the length of the episodes is the shows greatest strength really - a bad episode doesn't really have enough time to leave a bad taste in my mouth, while a really good episode I usually end up watching a few more times than a show that is in a half an hour time block - just because its easier fill space with a 15 minute show.

I have never enjoyed the taste of energy drinks - I've either used them when I really needed to at work, or when I wanted to do Jagerbombs - but recently I've found the newish Tapout line of energy drinks.. and every single one of them tastes excellent without that horrible aftertaste that seems to be the same from Monster to Red Bull to Rockstar, etc.

"Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)" and subsequently "My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue)" are two songs that have a direct impact on life, and music as a whole.

Rust Never Sleeps is one of my favorite albums of all time - but the very idea that Neil Young was pushing with the bookending songs was amazing, An artist can continue to make similar music, or they can branch out and do other things (for good or for bad). At its most basic, it is stated that it is better to burn out (stop creating) than it is to rust (end up producing the same stuff over, and over again) and this is something that a lot of musicians fail to understand.

All the greats have re-invented themselves in one way or another throughout their careers, and I see it as the true mark of a musical artist.

POKeMAD : South Park is assuredly 100 percent American created, and is produced in the US so no.

There are a lot of amazing Canadian television shows - sadly a number of them kind of require knowing a deal about Canada and Canadian culture and history to really enjoy, especially the amazing Corner Gas and some parts of Trailer Park Boys. As far as my shows go;

- Corner Gas, SCTV, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Undergrads, Kenny vs. Spenny, Clone High, the original Degrassi/Degrassi Jr. High, The Kids In The Hall, The Raccoons are all great choices but if I had to narrow it down to one that happened to be the total package - damn, it'd still be a toss up between Corner Gas and Clone High - however Corner Gas had a longer run so I'll have to give it to them.

This is something that I played on the computer more - it's just a bit more suited to having a mouse in your hand.
