*sigh...* Well... that... was... horrible. At the moment I last posted, it seemed as though I had all the free time in the world. Then I got a job. Then I had college added. From that point on, my free time has been almost null. Somehow I managed to free up a little time to make this post and check up on a few people, but it is unlikely that I will for a while after this.

Anyway, Wikipedia. I assume that died since I've been pretty much... out of commision? Next time I get free time I will have to work on that. In such a case, I will post whatever I put on Wiki here. It could always be editted later, anyway. I'll be joining Wiki so that I stick out less, and also, I plan to use the ideas mentioned throughout this post in my absence. Well... that... is if you guys didn't already do it.

Off I go again. I'll see you once again... some point in the distant future...

Yes, that is for THE wikipedia. Problem is... I just noticed a potential problem. Despite the fact that I entered what I at the time thought was our address JUST yesterday... it seems someone actually went over the article and removed our link (the only addition I made at the time). It was JUST a link. No article... no story... nothing. They still removed it. I can TRY adding the story and the link. They MIGHT have removed the link because it had no story behind it. On the other hand, they might have removed it just because they don't like our project for whatever reason.

Due to this... I am becoming a little nervous about getting it on there.

Anyway, if you thought that article was O.K., then I will proceed in putting it on Wiki. For it to look more-appropriate, I don't think our project should be the only one mentioned though, otherwise it might seem like an advertisement. I might go ahead and mention the section as "Remake Attempts". Therefore I can mention CTRP, CTR, and also the petition. Of course... before doing so I probably should check up on what they think of it.

Hmmmmm... ok...

Anyway.... as of now the "Chrono Trigger" section does not speak of petitions. Potentially, I could add that section. Perhaps naming it, "Other Fan Projects". For right now I just added a link to our (current) website in the External Links section.

Anyway, we aren't allowed to really BLATANTLY advertise. It seems to be sort of like an unwritten rule. What we CAN do though is define our project, its members, and how to access it. Therefore... we need to decide on something.

OTHER FAN PROJECTS:

- Chrono Trigger Remake Petition -- A project founded by Jacob Kuntzman and Michael Kelly with the intent to have an official Square-Enix remake of Chrono Trigger on a modern console, thus having more realistic graphics that can compliment the story further than the original allowed. Unlike most other petitions, this petition is to be hand-signed and mailed to the leader, Jacob Kuntzman. The petitions will be collected, and the signatures counted until the goal of 25,000 signatures is reached, in which the petitions shall be sent in masse to the Square-Enix of America offices. The official website for this project at this time is https://vizzed.com/ctremake/.

Questions... comments... pitchforks?

Frankly... I am almost angry with myself for not mentioning it earlier. Well... anyway... I wouldn't mind adding information about us in there. If you want me to, that is. Of course... WHAT I say has to be decided upon.

I suppose we should basically summarize what the petition is about, list the staff members (though a few are probably not really active anymore), and give a link for the website. Perhaps even give a link to one of the petitions. Anything else come to mind?

Been eons since much of anything has happened. Anyway, this is fairly obvious... but have we added ourselves to the Chrono Trigger Wiki? It isn't exactly the greatest method of publicity in terms of mass-public viewing... but it can attract those who are INTERESTED in information about Chrono Trigger, who happen to stumble upon our site address.

So what about it? Anything can help at this point. At the very least, putting ourselves on the CT Wiki will give us some credit for what we have done thus far. I think anything that can get the word about us out there is good at this point. Questions... comments?

I hate to say it, but I don't think our work is over yet Jake. Surely you of all people know how massive this news would be. It'd be ALL OVER the internet by now. If you can't find it in a Google search, a newsbreak as massive as that just simply doesn't exist. Maybe your friend got confused when he saw one of the fan remakes? Or maybe he just came across some old April Fool's story? I am not completely cancelling out the possibility, but I truly do not believe such a story could be kept a secret along the internet very long... nor do I believe some normal guy could have some how gotten S-E top-secret information. It just doesn't add up.

So my answer? It is almost certain that your friend is incorrect. The result? The petition continues...

Well, as a start of my revival, since school is over, I'll make a post in the most-recent thread surrounding this insane conquest. I have about 10-15 signatures. I am going to try and get a few more. I REALLY underestimated how busy I would be this year (specifically in the latter half). so I really kind of "died" a little after half-way through the year. I will TRY and get about twenty from my area. Unfortunately my school didn't like me going around with the petition much (no idea why) so I only managed to get a few from fellow classmates. The rest are from my personal friends and relatives. With any luck though I should add a pretty decent amount to the current count. I unfortunately didn't get to do much with the novel project's petition though... but I will attempt getting a few for that as well.

Anyway, I have read over the posts... and I think I pretty much understand what is going on. I agree, for the most part. Again though, I know online signatures aren't the way to go if you want to get attention. This is due to the fact that the names do not hold individuality. In other words, if you can not see the personal writing of a person... how do you know that the names you are seeing are not merely generated by a single person? This, I believe, is the major cause of companies not paying much (if any) attention to online petitions despite any large number of participants they may achieve.

You bring up a good point though. Ease of signing these petitions would CERTAINLY make the numbers rise significantly. In fact, had it been as simple as typing out my name and clicking a button, the signatures I have collected would have been in months ago. On the other hand, they would not hold nearly as much value. Lets face it, we as a people are lazy. We don't want to go out of our way (in our busy schedules) to publicize something, and mailing it out is a completely different story. Furthermore, some people may feel insecure mailing something out to a completely random person.

This being the case though, how can we effectively obtain signatures while at the same time, making the process easy? One easy way is if we all some how had tablet laptops, or some kind of "touch" interface to work with. In this manner we could essentially collect digital signatures. All we'd have to do is email these signatures to someone, so that they could merely paste these on to a master petition. On the other hand, how are we going to get this? WE would have to pay for it, and I don't see that happening. I do believe however, that some method needs to be selected. We can't just have someone type out their name because it isn't believable. We can't have people going around collecting real signatures and mailing it in because it isn't practical. What then is the method to use? Perhaps you've already decided on something (I might have missed it), but I think this is by far the biggest issue with our "project". It needs to be discussed, and if it has been already... would somebody mind filling me in?

Senior Project has been murdering me of late... again... and... again... so I apologize for my lack of activity of late. Anyway, this seems pretty interesting. It is a bit late for me to really add in any input, I suppose, but I generally am in favor of your current plan: To tell them WHY a CT remake would be generally good for the series.

Hope they take a look at it with an open mind, and perhaps give us a chance and think for THEMSELVES rather than just believing in Zeality's words. Sure, the guy is well-known by the CT community, and is definitely respectable... but his word alone shouldn't sway EVERYONE to his point of view...

...just doesn't seem right...

Hmmmmm... even our leader is uncertain in concerns to what is going on. Probably be good for everyone still working on something to say it so we can keep track of it. Frankly, my work is pretty much done. I haven't really done much other than give tips and opinions on subjects since I finished making up the petitions. At one point I was told to do the Slashdot Article, but as Propagator is a really good writer for these kinds of documents, he ended up taking that role. I don't recall if that position got switched over to anyone else. Chances are, it is still in his hands.

In other words, he is probably the guy you want to talk to.

There have been rumours of a new Xbox360 title that is a sequel to the CT series. Of course, rumours aren't all that useful. There is no way to be certain, honestly.

If it is though, that'll anger a lot of CT fans... as they statistically own mostly Sony and Nintendo systems. I guess the only way to find out is to wait for news at E3. If the game DOES exist, it'll likely have information about it released there.

Oh, and of course, it is good to see things are still moving. Not a lot of stuff to talk about lately, though that is because most of our part of the job is over.

Hmmmmm... I see. Grovelling, eh? I guess that works sort of like an apology.

I think we all wanted a meeting, but things just never really worked out for us; unfortunately. Regardless, I am glad to see the merger is going along well enough despite the problems with our meetings. I apologized a few times in an email (he sent me one, asking where I was... seemed kind of... slightly infuriated... ), though I never got a response.

Glad to see it all worked out in the end. I'll look foward to seeing the new site, when it gets made. Post it for us whenever it is ready.

Wow. That sounds kind of bad. It doesn't really make us look good, you know? I kind of thought we'd have problems since no screen names were listed, and furthermore, no one REALLY seemed certain of when they'd want to meet.

Regardless, if they were all there and we weren't; the only course of action is a formal apology for what happened. Afterall, it wasn't them who didn't manage to make it. Granted, it should have been planned better, they all seemed to know what to do; while we didn't. Obviously, their confidence in us after all these missed meetings probably has dropped significantly. Thus it is in our best interest, if we do wish to have this merger, to at least let them know that we acknowledge the mistake.

If they want to have another meeting though, I suggest EVERYTHING be covered. EVERY detail of the meeting, including what kind of meeting it is, how or what it shall be held on, times, etc. I personally wouldn't suggest AIM. If we are to do this, it might be best to use something like a forum. That way, no specific times are necessary. We can, over the course of a week or so, have the ability to discuss this and answer any questions anyone has in regards to this. In this manner, there is no possible way ANYONE can say they outright missed the meeting because they would have been aware (beforehand) of this meeting, and also would have the ability to look at and respond to these messages for the period of a week; which is definitely a suitable period of time. What are your thoughts? With our luck on this issue, I really suggest this method because I can't see any other way of doing this effectively and with everyone having their say.

Yeah... I definitely caught the reference, lol. I would say the entity isn't only effecting you, however. I was not told of this, but it seems my family wanted to hold my cousin's birthday party EARLY. The day just so happened to be the very day of the proposed meeting. It is the unfortunate case that I missed the meeting due to this. I hope at least some of us were able to meet though. At this rate, we'll never get a good meeting.

Well, not that it matters anyway. I'm pretty sure we're all generally in favor of the merger, right? Regardless though, I think a meeting between the two groups would be beneficial before we actually have the merger. In other words, SOMEONE better have been there...

Well, I guess I can't say that. Be kinda hipocritical... regardless though, we are really getting stalled by this. If the meetings don't work, I suggest we talk to them on this or some other forum. At least that way we can communicate with eachother. As of this point, I haven't discussed a single topic with any of the CT novel project.

So did at least someone here get to that meeting? If not, perhaps the forum idea would be best if we wish to get some kind of communication between the two groups.

Any day before 8 P.M. would be best. I think you should email us the decided date like a week before-hand before the meeting though. Just to be safe.

It tends to get a little quiet when we're just waiting for something. It is pretty much concluded at this point I guess. We will end up collaborating with that team. There'll be stuff to discuss once things start getting set up. Of course, the only person who can really inform us of these things is Jake... so we'll have to wait to hear the news from him I guess.

*sigh...* Well, I suppose it isn't a surprise since pretty much everyone else missed out on it. That is too bad though; I think it would have been good to have a meeting of sorts between the two teams. To be honest though, I don't have ANY idea how I could have met with him even if I was around. How exactly was the meeting held? No links to chatrooms, or even AIM addresses, were given out... now that I think about it. Perhaps I just missed something?

Well... I suppose it'd be good to hear whatever news Wayne has for us. A little bit of information on that would at least give us some clue of his team's intentions/ideas/etc.
