The occasional Mega Man robot master strategy guide is here and this time for Mega Man 5. Mega Man 5 in my eyes is on the list of one of the hardest Mega Man games if you aren't experienced. Same goes for the robot masters who are usually out for your head on a silver platter. For people having trouble with these bosses here is a strategy guide that may help you with these possibly frustrating robot masters. I'm also throwing in how to get those M E G A M A N V letters. STAR MAN The first boss you want to take on is the easiest to beat which is Star Man and no it is not a Mario power-up. Star man has a gravity based stage and boss fight so you're going to have to deal with jumping around a lot. Star man's weakness is the water wave, but is easy enough with the mega buster. Star Man will jump around the stage and throw his shield in whatever direction you are in. After he throws his shield you have about 3 seconds to shoot at him before he moves around. Defeating him gives you the star crash which is a shield that can be thrown... wait doesn't that sound familiar? In addition you get the super arrow which is an arrow weapon, so that's cool. The letter in this stage is in the midway point and is right under a pit of spikes if you time your jump correctly then you should get it. GRAVITY MAN Gravity man is who you want to take down next. Gravity man isn't hard he's just annoying. He will flip gravity and always be on the opposite side of you and the only time you can shoot him is when you cross paths while he's flipping gravity. This can be made easier with the star crash, just put the shield on and when he flips gravity just stand near him and he should take a lot of damage. Defeating him gives you the gravity hold which sends enemies flying off into space. The letter in this stage is in a gravity flipping section in which you'll have to use the gravity flipper and then move away quickly if you don't want to die. GYRO MAN Gyro Man is who you want to take on next. His attacks consist of throwing helicopter blades at you and dropping on you. He is weak to the gravity hold although it won't send him into space. When he's on screen press the attack button and he should be hurt badly. Defeating him gives you the gyro attack which is a helicopter blade that attacks enemies and i believe it can be controlled too. The letter in this stage is tricky, in the falling platform section a letter is right under one of them so you'll have to wait for the platform to fall and once you've grabbed the letter jump to safety. CRYSTAL MAN Crystal Man is the next robot master to take on. His weakness is the gyro attack, but unfortunately he moves around a lot so it's hard to hit him. He will jump around the room and throw crystal balls at you which split into 4 when they hit a wall. Defeating him gives you the Crystal Eye which do the same things as his crystal ball attacks. The letter in this stage is TEDIOUS. There is a falling down section and the letter is right in there. The way to get it is to stay to the right and eventually you'll fall into it. NAPALM MAN Napalm Man is the next boss you want to defeat. Napalm Man will throw bombs that roll across the floor at you mostly shot 2 at a time. his weakness is the crystal eye and all you have to do is shoot until he dies. Defeating him gives you the Napalm Bomb which roll across the floor, genius ideas. The letter in this stage is in a room under a ledge. You have to go as close to the edge as you can and once you fall off go to the left quickly and the letter should be yours. STONE MAN Stone Man is the one you'l want to take on next. This one is just plain annoying, he jumps around the room constantly and whenever he falls he breaks into pieces for a bit and you cant hit him in that phase. You can only hit him when he's on the ground or right before he falls. Defeating him gives you the most useless power in any game ever. The power stone no not the good fighting game, i'm talking about the useless projectile that is 2 stone that go in circles and fly off into space that will only hit something if you are very precise about your movement. Anyway the letter is hidden behind a wall in the first mine section on the right of the wall. The rocks have cracks in them and can be shot to reveal a path to the letter. CHARGE MAN Charge Man is the next guy. His attacks consist of parachute projectiles and charging at you and he is invincible in that state. His weakness is the useless rock mentioned earlier. Just use the mega buster for this guy. Defeating him gives you the charge kick which is kind of useless since it's just a slide power up that doesn't do much. You may need to use Rush Coil for this letter since it's high up and can't be simply jumped to. WAVE MAN The final robot master is Wave Man. He is weak to the charge kick, but your attack must be timed right or you'll get hit easily. His attacks are jumping around and making waves out of the ground. Attack him right before he makes the waves or he'll dodge your attacks easily. Defeating him gives you the Water Wave which is a ground projectile that attacks enemies and is pretty useful. The letter is in the jet ski section just after the first octopus and you may need to jump around a bit to avoid enemies and get the letter. You should have all letter by now which rewards you with beat, a present from Dr. Cossack from the previous game. Beat isn;t useful until later in the game though so just wait on him. The Proto Man icon should appear and you'll be taken to his fortress. TANK BOT Tank Bot fulfilled RabbidLuigi's dream of bosses with tank tracks. This boss will move around and shoot missles at you while you're getting shot to death. His weakness is Water Wave, but just save up energy and don;t waste it too much on this guy just in case. FORCE BOT Force Bot will shoot deadly electric shots at you and jump around the room throughout the fight. Use the napalm bombs if you want, but mega buster is fine. Note that he will gradually get faster throughout the fight. FREEZER BOT A living freezer! OK not really, but I would like to see that happen. Freezer Bot will jump around the room and shoot 3 circle that will freeze you and keep you vulnerable for a while. Use gyro attack here and you should win. DARK MAN Dark Man is another annoying boss and you know why? Useless rock is his weakness. He will keep jump around and shooting you and dealing massive hits until he sees you dead. After all that Dr. Wily appears and reveals he was behind Dr. Light's capture and you have to go through the hell that is his fortress. DR. WILY BOSS 1 To beat this guy, you have to shoot the platforms on him to make them fly out so you can reach the top to shoot his head. He will keep throwing things at you to make sure you fall off and die. Use Crystal Ball on this boss DR. WILY BOSS 2 When the doors on the side of his head open when he attacks with more objects shoot him with gyro attack. Wow that was a quick descr DR. WILY BOSS 3 When the machine stays on the ground jump high enough to shoot the head with a star crush attack. His attacks are crushing you with spikes. DR. WILY BOSS RUSH What do you think? it's a boss rush. DR. WILY STAGE 4 PHASE 1: WILY MACHINE This is where the Super arrow comes into play. The Wily Machine will attack you with missiles and all you have to do is fire the super arrow PHASE 2: DR. WILY This is the final part of the game and is similar to Mega Man 4's Final boss and also you get to use beat. Dr. Wily will attack you with energy shots and all you have to do is stand there and let beat do all the work Well there you have it, my strategy guide for Mega Man 5's bosses. Hopefully this will help you in your quest to beat Mega Man 5. I've been trying to unlock Metal Mario character on Mario Kart 7 150cc Special Cup for weeks and either I just suck at the game or this is really hard to beat. Although I didn't beat it yet here are some tips to help get past this easily. NOTE: playing with a friend might help you, but this is for playing alone. DK JUNGLE Drifting is your best friend in this level since it consists of sharp turns and a shortcut which you'll probably need to drift to get. Getting every item box might be a good idea. This level's AI always seems to time their moves so perfectly that you get hit by a simple green shell. Don't be careless at the sharp turn near the end of the lap because falling off ends in you dropping like a rock down to 5th place. Watch your opponents rank to see what items they have, if they have a blue shell back up to 2nd place before they can throw it If you have experience with 150cc cups DK Jungle is probably a medium difficulty, but this is just the first course. ROSALINA'S ICE WORLD This is where the cup gets tricky. The items by obtained by the AI are mostly bombs, shells, and stars. If you happen to get a bomb never throw it in front of you or in back near a crowd of players. The best choice is to find an open space and then throw the bomb behind yo which should keep you in your rank for about 15 seconds. Near the start there is a ramp that leads to an ice platform, the platform moves around slowly as the race progresses. The first lap it is easy to get onto by rushing to the ramp and pressing R while your on the tip of the ramp. 2nd time you either need a speed item or get a lot of speed off of your drift. 3rd time around is nothing that a simple speed drift can't fix. This course isn't too bad in difficulty either, but just watch out for your opponents items. If you have experience you'll rank between 1st - 3rd place in the end. BOWSER'S CASTLE This course is where the cup gets tricky, guardrails are limited and the shortcut drops you to 6th place if you don't time your jump well. Speed items are very common in this course and the only shells you'll see are red shells or green shells. Your opponents can easily get ahead of you with a simple star or mushroom item. Only drift when necessary since there are turns that will throw you off the track, but can be easily passed if you time the drift right. If you get a speed item only use it on paths that are not curved since once again the result is you getting thrown in lava. The difficulty is a bit tricky and the chance of your rank is 1st - 2nd if you're lucky, but 3rd - 6th if you dropped in lava a couple times. RAINBOW ROAD 7 (That's what I call it) Rainbow Road 7 shows no mercy whatsoever. Everything is a deathtrap, even some of the items. Even worse this course is broken into sections so you can't memorize it without going through the horrors of Special cup. There also isn't a race battle mode so that means this course is unpredictable. The items could be anything, but the item boxes are actually what you want to avoid since almost all of them are speed items and because Rainbow Road 7 doesn't have guard rails you'll get thrown off into space easily. If you take my advice then never press X. Section 1: This part of the course consists of many sharp turns, but only drift if you're near the edge. There isn't much to this part actually. Section 2: This part is probably the safest part of the level since the paths are always on wide, spread out paths. The final part at the path with holes in it is optional getting to the end of it. Watch out for the chain chomps and the safest choice to avoid them is stay to the right. Section 3: This final part is all determined on which place you're in. You might go up a few ranks if you get the glider panel at the end and after you take some sharp turns at the end you're done with Special Cup 150cc. If you didn't get Metal Mario then look at this again and retry the race, but if you don't get it you can blame me for being an idiot. Hopefully this helped a bit if you are stuck. Sometimes Mega Man 4 can be a hard game, one reason is because of the bosses and their ridiculous amount of health or their strong attacks. This is a guide to help you know their weaknesses and attacks to defeat them easily. The first boss you should take down is toad man. Normally he is weak to Drill cannon, but the mega buster works fine. Toad man jumps around the room and if you take too long to hit him he will use Rain Flush and deal 5 pixels of damage to you. Defeating him gives you the Rain Flush which if shot will cause it to make it rain and kill everything on screen. Bright Man is the boss you would want to defeat next since he is weak to Rain Flush. Bright man is extremely fast and will jump around the room which makes him hard to hit. Occasionally he will freeze time to jump and shoot at you which deals about 2 pixels of damage. Defeating him gives you the Flash stopper and unlike in Mega Man 2, this time you can freeze time and shoot things. Pharaoh Man is the next boss you want to take on, but their is a secret weapon in his stage that is really helpful. If you manage t jump the gap leading to the underground section and move all the way to the right you will find another section containing the Balloon which you can use in tight situations in Vertical sections. Pharaoh Man himself is not really weak to the Flash stopper which he isn't weak against, but he'll just be frozen in time until it ends. His attacks are to jump around and use the Charged Pharaoh Shot. Defeating him also gives you the Pharaoh shot which is a normal shot at first, but if charged (Hold B) it will float over your head and turn into a huge Pharaoh Shot. Ring Man is the one you want to take on next is Ring man since he is weak to Pharaoh Shot. Ring Man is another extremely fast boss and will jump around even diagonally and use Ring Boomerang. Defeating him gives you the ring boomerang which is just a boomerang. Dust Man is best to take on next since he is weak to Ring Boomerang. Dust man can use a built-in vacuum to pull you towards him to damage you. He also uses his dust crash which will be shot then explode into 4 pieces if it hits a wall. Defeating him gives you the dust crash which i just explained. Skull Man is who you want to take down next since he is weak to Dust Crash. Skull Man Runs around the room while shooting you and using his skull barrier so you can't hit him. Defeating him gives you the Skull Barrier which is a simple shield Weapon. Dive man is who you want to take on next, but first there is a secret item in his stage. If you fall down the pit after the second whale mini-boss then there will be a series of spikes and if you manage to make it to the bottom you get the wire which can shoot up and be used as a grappling hook. Dive Man himself is weak to Skull Barrier and will dive around the room and shoot missiles. Defeating him gives you the Dive Missile which is a honing Missile. Drill Man is the last of the robot masters you want to to take on and is weak to dive missile. He dives into the ground and if you are in the same spot as him he'll drill up and deal about 2 pixels of damage. Defeating him gives you Drill Cannon which can be shot and if the fire button is pressed again, it can explode. Dr. Cossack Stage 1's boss, Mothraya, is weak to Ring Boomerang, but can only be hit on a glowing orb on its body. Mothraya uses the spike it has to break the floor and maybe damage Mega Man too. Dr. Cossack Stage 2's Boss, Square Machine, is weak to Dust Crash, but like Mothraya it can only be hit on the glowing orb in the center. Square Machine splits into 3 parts and dashes across the room and might crush you without perfect timing. When the Machine slows down, jump into one of the parts and you'll be in the machine and can finally hit it only the platforms it gives you, but it will shoot at you to try and knock you off. Dr. Cossack Stage 3's boss, the Cockroach twins, are weak to Pharaoh Shot and will just move around the walls and shoot. Dr. Cossack Stage 4's boss, The Cossack Catcher, Is weak to Dust Crash and will grab you with a claw to hurt you. Dr. Wily Stage 1's boss the Metall Daddy is weak to Pharaoh Shot and will jump to crush you which can hurt Mega Man quite a bit. He will also produce more Metalls which is annoying. Dr. Wily Stage 2's boss, Tako Trash, is weak to Ring Boomerang, but of course only on the glowing orb on its body. It will shoot at you as you try to use the platforms to hit him. Wily Stage 3 has a Boss Rush and Wily Machine 4. Wily Machine 4 Form 1 is weak to Ring Boomerang and Form 2 is weak to Drill Cannon and must explode to hit the machine properly. The Final Wily Stage's boss, Wily Capsule, is weak to Pharaoh Shot and will summon 4 energy balls to hit you and teleport around the room randomly. Hope this guide helped you with the bosses and that they will be no trouble for future playthroughs of Mega Man 4. The first boss you should take down is toad man. Normally he is weak to Drill cannon, but the mega buster works fine. Toad man jumps around the room and if you take too long to hit him he will use Rain Flush and deal 5 pixels of damage to you. |

I'll admit I had no idea what I was doing with this strategy guide, same with my other two. |

Sometimes people find themselves having a hard time with a few of the robot masters, that or they just suck at the game. Here are the weaknesses and their attacks. Metal man is weak to the quick boomerang however it's not easy to hit him. He'll jump around the room, change the direction of the treadmill on the floor, and throw metal blades at you which makes it tricky to hit him sometimes. Once you beat him you get the best weapon in the game: the metal blade which can be shot in all directions and almost never runs out of energy making it very useful. Bubble man is a joke if you have the metal blade and it will kill him in a few seconds. His attacks are jumping up and sinking to throw bubbles at you and there are spikes on the ceiling the suck you in for an instant death if you jump too high. Once you beat him you get the bubble lead which just comes out of your mega buster and rolls across the floor. Heat man's stage was pretty hard, but Heat Man himself is not hard at all with the bubble lead which will kill him in a short amount of time. His only attack is giving himself a fire shield and then turning into three fireballs to get to the other side of the room which you just have to jump over. Once you beat him you get the atomic fire which is close to useless. You also get Item-1 which is a floating platform that is needed for getting a few of the items in quick man's stage and getting through Wily Castle 1. Wood man is supposed to be weak to atomic fire but it's way easier to kill him with metal blade. His attacks are giving himself a leaf shield that doesn't allow you to hit him and making four leaves fall from the ceiling that you have to dodge with him throwing his leaf shield at you. Once you beat him you get the leaf shield where you shoot once to get a leaf shield and the second time you shoot the leaf shield fires in one direction. Air man is weak to the leaf shield, but the catch is that he throws air tornadoes at you, jumping around the room, and acting like a fan to blow you away so it's pretty hard to hit him. If you beat him you get air tornado which just splits into three smaller tornadoes and goes up. You'll also get Item-2 which is a hover board that travels in one direction. Crash man is weak to the air tornado and dies in about two hits with it so no wonder he lives in space. His attacks are jumping around the room and throwing bombs at you. If you beat him you get crash bombs which stick to walls and then blow up. You only have 7 bombs so you have to use them wisely. Flash Man is weak to the crash bombs but you're better off using the mega buster because it's half-impossible to hit him especially because of the messed up floor design and everything else bounces off of him. His attacks are jumping across the room and freezing time to shoot you. When you defeat him you get time stopper which damages all enemies on the screen however it can only be used once unless you die. You also get Item-3 which just bounces around and I never found it useful. Quick Man is weak to time stopper but only takes away half his health so the rest of the battle is you and the mega buster because everything else bounces off of him. Once you beat him you get the quick boomerang which is just a long distance traveling boomerang. Since it always comes back to you, I didn't see how it ran out of energy. The mecha-dragon in Wily Castle 1 is weak to the quick boomerang but moves around in the air so it's hard to hit him. He constantly throws fire at you and you only have three tiny blocks to jump on to dodge the fire and if you fall off the bottom or middle block, you're dead. The Pikopiko-kun in Wily Castle 2 is weak to the Metal Blade but you can't hit him until two of the blocks on the battlefield come together which is pretty much his only attack. The Guts-dozer in Wily Castle 3 is weak to quick boomerang and that's pretty much all I know about the fight because beating him only takes about 3 seconds. The Buebeam trap in Wily Castle 4 is the hardest boss in the game and is only weak against the crash bombs. You have to use all 7 of your crash bombs and they have to be in very specific locations or else you're screwed. It's attacks are throwing almost impossible to dodge and come every 6 seconds. In Wily Castle 5 is just a boss rush where teleportation pods send you to different robot masters. You'll probably come out of the battles wounded so you'll get an energy pellet each time you beat a robot master. if you beat all of them another teleportation pod will show up in the middle of the room sending you to the Wily Ship. The Wily ship is supposed to be weak the the crash bombs on form 1, but those were probably wasted on the Buebeam trap unless you died in Wily Castle 5 so just use the mega buster on form 1 and 2. The Wily ship's attacks are throwing balls at you and I think that's it. After the battle, the floor explodes sending you to the next Wily Castle. The Final Level has no music and just has red acid dripping from the ceiling the you have to dodge which gives a creepy feel to the player. Soon you find Dr. Wily in a room that looks like space and all of the sudden he turns into an alien. This time bubbles save the world because Alien Wily is weak to bubbles which is just pitiful. His attacks are throwing something at you and then dive bombing you so you have to jump over him. Soon the battle has ended, you figured out the actual Dr. Wily put you into a room so that you figured out it was all an illusion and then you ragequit. Hopefully this was useful so that the robot masters seem way easier than before. Metal man is weak to the quick boomerang however it's not easy to hit him. Most of the time people are finding themselves getting their butts kicked from the robot masters because they are WAY too strong or the person playing Mega Man just sucks at it. Here are the weaknesses of all the robot masters so you can beat the game easily (yes, even with the yellow devil). Use Mega Buster for Bombman Use bombs for Gutsman Use Power Arm for Cutman Use Boomerang Scissors for Elecman Use Electricity for Iceman Use Ice Slasher for Fireman Dr. Wily Stages Use Electricity for Yellow Devil Use Fire Storm for Clone Mega Man Use Power Arm for Wily Stage 3 Boss Use Fire Storm for Dr. Wily (form 1) Use Electricity for Dr. Wily (Form 2) Use Mega Buster for Bombman Use bombs for Gutsman Use Power Arm for Cutman Use Boomerang Scissors for Elecman Use Electricity for Iceman Use Ice Slasher for Fireman Dr. Wily Stages Use Electricity for Yellow Devil Use Fire Storm for Clone Mega Man Use Power Arm for Wily Stage 3 Boss Use Fire Storm for Dr. Wily (form 1) Use Electricity for Dr. Wily (Form 2) |

In chapter 5-4, you are deep in the cavern of the Floro Sapiens, though you could just screw around and find this infinite level up strategy! Near the beginning of the level, there is a pipe that leads you to a save block, doors that lead to other parts of the level, and a pipe that spits out Floro Sapiens forever. If you use Bowser, you can just hold the down button on the D-pad to breathe fire. Each Floro Sapien you kill is worth 500 points, giving you the opportunity to level up a lot while the Floro Sapiens are just falling towards their doom. |

Flower Fields in Chapter 6 has an enemy that won't show up that often called an Amazee Dazee. If you manage to defeat it, then you'll get lots of EXP and coins. It is very hard to kill though and is hard to find. An easy way to kill it is to: 1. Get the "Lucky Day" badge from Goompapa in Goomba village after doing a REALLY annoying side quest that involves delivering letters to people in the Mushroom Kingdom 2. Get enough Badge Points to equip the badge 3. Try to find power plus badges (Just use a guide or something to find them) 4. Find an amazee dazee If you kill it, then you'll get about 50 EXP. If you keep trying to find amazee dazees the you should have no problem trying to max out your stats and have no trouble with bowser's castle. 1. This game has bee called a favorite by many and I can see why. Nothing is better than just picking up a controller and playing Mario games. However this game makes you pick up a controller and never take your eyes off the TV! Everything is just so bright and colorful and definitely pushes the NES to its limit. GRAPHICS: 8 The graphics in this game are extremely good for NES standards let alone a Mario game. Most of the background is just clouds, hills, and one color. Mario looks just like he did in the original Super Mario Bros, but a little bit lighter. The weird thing is that when Mario is in a stage his clothes are black and red, but in the intro for a match up game his clothes are now blue and red. I just thought that was something to point out. SOUND: 10 Each theme in the game is unique and can really fits in with each level. The ones it fits in the most with would probably be the water levels and the castle levels. Each map has it's own theme Like the desert world has a desert theme, the water world has a beach theme, but the one I don't get is world 6 which is the frozen world and it has a really creepy theme the doesn't really fit. At first I thought it was because everything was frozen and empty, but then it was reused in Paper Mario 2 as the creepy message theme which was confusing. ADDICTIVENESS: 10 Like I said earlier, your probably never going to want to put the controller down once you start playing this. There's so many levels and mini games to try out. If you're playing with a friend then you'll have even more fun! Enough said. STORY: 6 The story is the same. Bowser nabbed the princess and brought her to his castle or lair or whatever and of course you, the fat Itallian plumber, have to save her, whoopdy freaking do! Although this time, Bowser sent out his kids (How did Bowser get kids?) to stop you and for some reason they like turning kings into animals. DEPTH: 9 There is a lot and I mean A LOT to do in this game. Over 50 stages, hammer bros. and boomerang bros. you'll come across, and mini games that almost never stop coming. Nintendo got a little lazy with the bosses though. Most of the time you'll come across castles and at the end there is ALWAYS something called a Boom Boom, but they're easy to kill which isn't a problem. The koopa kids or koopalings as they're called are all the same, they die in 3 hits and drop a wand when you defeat them. The Bowser fight is a lot more creative since you have to make Bowser smash blocks with his butt so that he'll fall out out the ship and come back in Super Mario World. DIFFICULTY: 9 This game is not easy at all. Even the most hardcore gamer has to die at least once while playing this. The reason? THE PITFALLS! There are WAY too many pitfalls in this game and they're really irritating when trying to preform a long jump. The enemies are a a real pain but the boos (ghosts) annoy me the most since they'll always gang up on you when you're not looking and kill you. There are sometimes white bars that will have ghosts on them and you always have to jump over them. There is one water level where there's a bunch of whit bars cheep cheeps (fish) and bloopers (squids) which you have to dodge with perfect timing. OVERALL: 9.9 This is probably what makes the Mario games so well known to people. If you have an NES, buy this now. If you don't, go buy one with this.
