I'm sorry, you can't compare the games to that extent, they're too different. Minecraft is more building and creation orientated.
Terraria is more adventure/action orientated.

Each has their ups and downs.

So this is a fun story. As I was peacefully playing WoW on my RAID-1'ed system, all of the sudden the compy freezes for a second or two and I get a pop-up on my taskbar saying 'RAID ACCESS FAILURE'. I ignore this as some kind of mishap and continue playing. 5 Minutes later the freezy bit happens again. 'RAID DISK FAILURE'.
So apprently, I now have a degraded RAID Mirror array, and am running on one drive. It's fine so far, although the compy is a bit slower.
What do I do?
Is the disk that failed gone forever to Silicon heaven?
Is my computer doomed forever because of an impending system error?
Do I have cheese with my buttered bread?

Sounds like a case of blaming the game and not the player.
Have fun trying to find a game that doesn't crash. As said before, it's rarely the game. It's usually the incompatibilities of hardware, or some crap in your system that causes the crashes.

There is no answer to that question. Everyone has a different motive for doing something. Some like how they can 'escape' reality to play WoW. Others get caught up trying to be the best in PvP. Who knows?

But it is a pretty fun game, for me.

if you need to remember a list, try to only memorize half, so that when a question comes up, if it's not the half you memorized, it's the other.
But that's situational, but nonetheless a tip.
Furthermore, if it's things like Biology, memorize the Key Concepts, and only those. Don't fret on the details, if you know the main points you can reason your way through the rest.

To be fair, I got it 3 days before it was released in the U.S.
Got to the 3rd gym before it was actually released. Started playing again today.
Got bored for most of the day, go to 6th in about 3 hours.

Gold/Silver was always easy. In any other game you'd get to about 70 during/after the Elite 4. Here, it's mid-40's. Easy stuff.
