Since there are a ton of forum sections, are there any I should just focus on, or should I just split myself around and post EVERYWHERE, All At Once?

I imagine it would be hard to do follow-ups if I were posting Everywhere.

My personal feelings are: If sex and nudity are called for in the story that is the videogame, then it should be allowed. Love and sex are as much a part of our lives as violence and killing, it should be portrayed as such. It should be carefully allotted- youngsters should not be allowed access to hardcore pornography even as they should not be allowed access to violence and murder. But as the age group goes up, then the use of sex should be allowed.

It bothers me that we have, as a species, decided that sex is more evil than killing. To watch someone bring a life into the world is more evil than taking a life from the world. That bothers me a lot.

I voted for the fifth age myself. During the previous times I either didn't play any video systems at all (up to the fourth age and partly into the fifth). I turned 20 in the very early 80's; when I finally bothered to become anything interested in gaming, I bought a c64. I stuck with computers (bought an Amiga, then an IBM pc clone) until I bought a Playstation in 1996. It was at that time that I began to play witjh both types- consoles and computers. But most of my fun times I remember being in that time- Playstation 1 and computers. It was when that next generation came that my interest began to fall apart- the games were classier looking, but the gameplay had started to go down. Now I still play as much as I can, but it's harder to stay interested, even as the games look flashier and classier.

Well, I may be the most mature by age but otherwise... well, my husband calls me a kid all the time

As for affecting family life, I do most of my console game playing while the kids are at school. After school, I and our oldest (he just turned 12) will play computer games together, or yes, fight over the tv for console gaming. I have plenty of time for gaming as well as taking care of the family- neither I nor my husband work. He's disabled and terminally ill, and I am disabled with a back injury. I spend my time taking care of him which is easy right now- he's still able to get up and about (although he's had 2 of his heart valves replaced- he's slowly going downhill all the time with his health).

My favorite games are of the role playing type- I have all of the Elder Scrolls games, and just finished Fallout 3. I also love first person shooters- I started with Wolfenstein 3d and Doom and went up from there. I also bought the first Bard's Tale for the Commodore 64

I ALSO plan on hitting up the other parts of the forum and posting when I can!

I wandered in from the cold and thought I would become a part of this place. No real reason other than I sometimes feel it would be nice to be a part of something, rather than just wandering around and never getting involved in anything. Makes me sad.

So other than that, I am a game playing mother of 3. I have a playstation 1, a playstation 2, AND a playstation 3, an xbox, an xbox 360... and going back in history, I also own a nintendo 64 AND a dreamcast As well as, of course, the very computer of which I am typing on.
