Hmm, quite odd. It may be the rom itself. Some roms have audio and graphic problems from time to time. Or may be your graphics card. Well hope this helps, hopefully someone will have a better reasoning for it.

For the controls you can map your own, open the ePSXe program and click on the Config tab. The pictures should explain the rest.

Or for another way, which should probably be done first is to use the Wizard Guide under the Config tab. This will help you config all that you need for running the games on ePSXe. Near the end of the configuration will be a section where you can map your controls. I 'd advise you start with the Wizard Guide first that way you get everything done at one time

Well if you are trying to run the game to play it, all you have to do is open up the ePSXe program. Click on File and then RUN ISO. Find your Silent Hill.cdd file and double click it. The game should start to load.
