I know it's the latest game and stuff and they probably weren't planning this "explanation" from the start of LoZ, but Skyward Sword explains why it's Legend of Zelda.

Spoiler:
Zelda is the mortal reincarnation of Hylia, the goddess who protected the Triforce from Demise when he first tried to get it.

SSB64 is Falcon, because... well, you know why.
SSBM is Mewtwo, because I played with him so much that I actually became good with him, so now I'm better with him than with Falcon.
SSBB is Charizard, because Rock Smash.

I love Pokemon of the past, but Gen V ruined it for me. I don't necessarily "hate" Gen V, but as a certain YouTuber once said... well, I don't remember what exactly he said, but basically it was "It used to be 150, now it's 600+." Some see that as an upgrade, I see it as the same thing Mario has: too much. You know, like how Mario has Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, etc.. Pokemon has Gen III, Gen IV, and Gen V, when I would've been happy with just Super Mario and Gen I and II.
The bad thing about my Pokemon-loving is that I never actually played a Pokemon game outside of RGR except Pokemon Snap, which was once one of my favorite games, by the way, and kind of still is.
Oh, and if "Pokemon is for kids," let's see some Pokedex entries.

Pinsir "Grips and tears at its enemy with the two pincers on its head. Enemies with hard bodies are gripped and tossed."
Beedrill "May appear in a swarm. Flies at violent speeds, all the while stabbing with the toxic stinger on its rear."
Hypno "carries a pendulum-like device. There once was an incident in which it took away a child it hypnotized." (Come, little children, come with me.)

Journey.

I saw an episode of a certain Let's Play of it (Pewdiepie's) that was called "SADDEST ENDING EVER" or something like that. I decided to watch it, and this "saddest ending" is just some weird thing trying to climb up a mountain and falling over. I asked in the comments why people were saying things like "I cried at this ending" and "Is this really the end?" and someone replied "You have to watch the first episode." So I watched the first episode. I got bored halfway through and just decided to give up on trying to figure out why people love the game so much.
You don't know who you are. You don't know where you are. You don't know what you're doing. You don't know what's happening. The only information on the game's plot is its name: It's definitely a journey.

RuneScape - The No. 1 Free Online Multiplayer Game! As long as you pay for it. I'm going to improve your original post: "They're constantly updating the game with new members-only content and members-only stuff so I highly recommend it to anyone who feels like paying for it." If you wanna recommend a game, you should make sure people know the truth about it.
But once you get used to RuneScape being 4/5 members-only, it's not too bad (definitely not too good though). In other words, the game mostly sucks, but I still play it a bit. It was a lot better in 2008, though. Anyone who disagrees only disagrees because they used to PK so they're just whining because the wilderness was removed that year. I, on the other hand, whine about the wilderness being added back in 2011 or whatever year it was. Although out of the online games I play, I play RuneScape the least, since the other two are better.
