I have done a bit of role play in the last two or three years. Mostly things involving fights though, anything from standard hand to hand up to various powers similar to those that appear in games, movies, anime, etc. I have been in some where I have worked a genetics lab, been second in command of a "squad" in a larger role playing group that had thirteen divisions, and ran a small "settlement" of many different races depending on what people choose to be. Ended up not getting to many people joining though so those were all short lived.. even the ones that had more people could some times die out for a month or more.

My role play style, as far as typing "spoken words" is no different then how I am writing now. I do not tend to use quotation marks to separate speech from actions. I mostly use a hyphen or an asterisk to mark where each action begins and ends. I know some people do not like when people use those to mark the actions and prefer people to do a post in role play like you might read out of a book, and I CAN write like that, but mostly I cannot be asked to take the time to do that, which is perfectly accept able around my own group of friends. I normally do only a few detailed sentences when I role play, but I try to match other people's post length or amount of detail during fights and other things that require a bit more fleshing out in the posts.

I am interested in a very broad range of games. I have my parents and cousins to thank for that really, they got me started on them pretty young. The Resident Evil addiction really started out as my Father's addiction and I used to watch him play them, used to make him laugh because it used to scare me every time within five minutes or so. It became a bit of a nostalgic game for me after my parents separated and eventually lead to it being my favorite gaming series of all. I could give a few other stores as to why I like various types of games but that would get a bit tedious.

Unfortunately I do not know the user name my friend had on here. It never came up really. We just talking one day about different games we had been playing and he mentioned this site and said it might have some of the older Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance games i was disappointed I could not play anymore. Magi-Nation being the main one I wanted to play again. I also found out that Vizzed  had Resident Evil Gaiden which my friend used to own and told me about but I never got to play so I finally got the chance to see what that game was all about as well.

A peanut butter cookie should not be to unreasonable of an imaginary cookie to give. Just as soon as I remember where I have hidden the imaginary cookie stash you may have your cookie.

Hello my name is Izaya Alaera. Well that is not really my name but for all intents and purposes I am. I suppose I can get away with that considering I made the name up for a character in an old role play I was in.. if not, oh well. I have been playing games as far back as I can remember. I have used many different systems like Atari, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 1-3, GameCube, Box 360, and Wii.

The kind of games I like: any of The Legend of Zelda, a toss up between Pokemon Crystal or Magi-Nation for the Game Boy Color, I am a pretty big Final Fantasy fan but have not found a Final Fantasy game I enjoy more than Final Fantasy 7. On the PlayStation other than Final Fantasy my all time favorite game was a game called The Legend of Dragoon which like the older Final Fantasy series was a turn based RPG. Other game series I enjoy are Resident Evil, I try to get every one of the games I can find, Soul Caliber, Midnight Club, The Elder Scrolls. I was pretty into the Legacy of Kain 1 and 2 on the PlayStation 1 and GameCube.

I also like games where you have to defend against invading hordes of enemies, be it undead or living on pc or any gaming system that has those kind of games. I was not hooked on pc gaming to much until I found Runescape one day when I was younger and ended up finding out some of my friends also played. That opened up my online gaming addiction to the point I do not normally play console games anymore and ultimately lead me to this site via a friend telling me about it. Other pc games types I enjoy are things like Minecraft or Dead Frontier. I never got sucked into the whole World of Warcraft group but that is mostly because of multiple failed installations after purchasing the game brand new along with a membership card.

I am very glad my friend told me about this website because it has all sorts of games I never thought I would be able to play again such as Magi-Nation and The Legend of Zelda games Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. It also gives me a chance to play The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask which I very vaguely remember from my childhood while hanging out with my older cousins. I am looking forward to being able to play that as I have heard it is a very good game and I was to young to remember it in great detail. Well that's all I have to say and I have rambled on for way to long. I do not normally like to write so much and it has taken me several months to get around to writing this introduction so at least I can be satisfied knowing that I did indeed finish this.

If you made it this far: Congratulations! You win! Unfortunately this is the Internet so all I can offer you is this imaginary cookie. Those are still acceptable right?

I am pretty new to the whole Effort Value system of training. To be fair I do not know much at all about it other than it is useful for increasing an individual skill beyond that of what could normally be achieved just playing through and not worrying about the Effort Value points. However, this is a system of training I would very much like to get stuck into. I like the idea of making each Pokemon the best that they can be depending on what you are expecting out of them. Seeing as this thread shows the points being gained in a snap shot this is probably the best place to, at the very least, get some tips.

What I would like to know is this: how is the Effort Value system in Light Platinum different from other Gen Pokemon games? Do the Pokemon from older games that had Effort Value points towards attack for defeating them still retain the same amount of points in this game or are they less? Do the wild fifth Gen Pokemon give Effort Value points? The last time I played I noticed that they used the sound effects from other games for the fifth Gen Pokemon so I am not sure if that meant that they were not able to add in the Effort Value points for them as well. Would a list of Pokemon that shows how many Effort Value points a specific Pokemon gives work as a guide to help me better train my team on Light Platinum?

If anyone has any answers to any or all of my questions your advice would be appreciated greatly.
