Hello there Vizzed board it's me again. Whether or not that's a good thing is up you to decide but I figured I'd come back.

I joined the site back in 2012 when I was living in the deep south as an alternative to a different site of the same purpose as a different "play games online" site at the time called retro uprising (which last I heard is still around by the way).

I want to clear the air on my not so good past on the site and give an explanation for everything that happened for the few people who may know me from that time period. Because I know when I came back a couple of years ago and in the interim I've been getting a bunch of negative comments from people who claimed they were active at that time.

I wasn't in the best place. I was a very angry kid and I was frustrated at the circumstances of us moving to the deep south to begin with.

That doesn't excuse anything I may have said or done but it damn sure played a factor in a lot of negativity that boiled over in around 2015 or so.

I really shouldn't have been given a forum platform in that state TBH but I will admit I had fun with the games I played with the online plugin back in the day.

Nowadays I would like to reconnect with you folks as a community and share insight I didn't have even back when I came back in 2019. A lot of things have changed in my life in those 3 years.

Also I would like to mention that ASAP I plan on changing my Vizzed name to Katanaeyegaming as I have on everything else.

Glad to be back David and I plan to stay for a while. I'll post some more reviews as I've still got a couple hundred to go around.

Furret : there was a pokemmo I played called pokemon revolution online that was really good. haven't played pixelmon in quite a while

Boured : big fan of red rescue team and sky that's for sure

luigi25 : that's a good one I've actually played the first two within the past few months or so and I got to say that I like it.

This is a game I have been asked for my opinions on for the past few years and have been very hesitant on talking about it due to how many people will disagree with me but regardless this is how I feel about sonic and the secret rings.

I feel this game is the worst in the sonic series for a variety of reasons ill get into but the positives I have for the game while few do show that it had potential.

I think the graphics are decent at best they aren't terrible but certainly aren't anything to ride home about in any means.

The soundtrack and sound quality is the best aspect of the game period and really fit the atmosphere that the game is trying to fit. The only issue with the soundtrack is how often the main theme is played in game but the rest of the soundtrack is on the great side.

The story in a lot of cases felt dull but a few notable moments here and there disappointing for me to say that.

The game itself has some fun minigames which is where I spent most of my time instead of playing the main story mode. in fact I once made a joke with a friend to which we called the minigame mode sonic party and that it was basically a Mario party ripoff without the board. (take that how you want it.)

The reason this game gets a 2/10 overall rating and a 10/10 difficulty rating is because of one thing mostly. And that is...

The controls. Even the more buggy sonic games had better controls than this and it kills me to say that. For the fact that if the controls were more tolerable it would have made the game itself much better.

Here are some examples.

Exhibit a: The tutorial took me a month to beat due to unresponsive controls and resulted in 4 broken remotes and a headset thrown at the wall.

Exhibit b: several challenges that were necessary for the games completion had used some of the worst controlling gimmicks and as such made me avoid the game entirely for 5 years.(at this point it was 2017 and I had owned the game since 2010 quit in 2012 which is where I quit).

Exhibit c: Several abilities that were made baseline in previous sonic games were locked behind a progression system that was so notorious that it spawned several memes and jokes online even to this very day.

Another positive I can give is that the stage design feels natural and fluent of a sonic game and maybe could have been better in a different game in comparison to this one.

Spoiler alerts for story coming up as I feel this should be brought up.

It all boils down to sonic hunting down for the equivalent of the chaos emeralds in this game the seven world rings.

And if he doesn't he dies. It doesn't feel like a sonic story and made me rage just from seeing it.


In conclusion as much as this game gets talked about and I respect peoples opinions on it. I really do not like this game and just wanted to give my reasons why. I am gladly open for a discussion on this topic so fire away.

Hi everyone this is a topic that has been on my mind for quite some time so I figured I would share my thoughts on it.

I have a list of games that I feel should get more notice and why.

Powerstone: the gameplay is unique and has aged wonderfully it could make for a good competitive scene if people were interested.


Megaman zero: This subseries of megaman gets overlooked by just about all of its brothers when I feel thaat all 4 of the games in it have a sense of consistency betwwen them.

Sine mora: a game that got me into more sidescrolling 2d shooters and made me change my mind on them as a whole.

Risk of rain: The first one is getting pushed under the rug by ror 2 which is a shame considering how good of a game it is(releasing on multiple platforms).

Wario land: thanks to a replier for pointing this one out to me I agree it is really good.

Darkstalkers: this is a series while some people may have heard of it not many have picked it up or maybe as not as many as I think(this one might change)

but even so the game has lock-on in 2d sections which just kills one of the points in the series.

flame hyenard is bad due to poor sound and audio coding. that being said for what little I can say of this game ive played much worse

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is a fantastic game and one of if not my favorite game of all time. The Monster Hunter series itself certainly is.

This was one of my first psp games I got back in the days even before I joined Vizzed. The only thing I can say is wow has this game aged well.
The Graphics had this aesthetic to them that just made it work and it even to this day blows me away with how the graphics have evolved over the past 9 years I've been playing these games.

This games soundtrack cannot be rated on a scale for how good it is and it is one of the biggest strong points that this game has when it grips you in. In combination with the graphics as is this creates a really noticeable atmosphere in the game that just makes it feel that much better.

The replay value on this game is so big that I have over nearly 6,000 hours on just this one game which is crazy. But that is the thing with this series is that it is a huge time sink and most people end up putting a few hundred or even a thousand or 2 hours into it.

The gear and monster variety for this game was massive and is actually number 3 for most monsters in the main series games. Like across all the ranks you will get more and more and more gear that you don't know what to do with. And in my case you'll find gear sets to make and mess around with. I see more people customizing builds to the point where the monsters difficulty is much lower this fact made me put a 7/10 difficulty instead of a 9/10 difficulty.

The biggest issue I have with this particular game is the collision detection. I don't think I have seen any worse collision detection in a video game ever. Sometimes with a long ranged weapon you look like you are spot on with an attack and the game claims you missed said attack. But never in the game is the collision detection more annoying than the fights with the Plesioth(there are memes) Rajang and Tigrex. The latter of which has a tail whip attack that is basically unavoidable when standing next to it and even when you aren't near it at times.


The stages in the game while good also do not help with the factors on certain boss attacks not like its going to matter in some circumstances.

Either way this game gets a 9.5 out of 10 and I consider it an influence in action rpg history as well as video game history and the history of Capcom as a company.

If you haven't picked it up and have a psp I highly suggest you do as it is one of the best games on the console in my and many others opinions.

This game is a TRAINWRECK and I'm about to tell you why I feel so disgusted by the mere mention of this game at times.

The only positives I really have for this game are that the music is actually pretty good a lot of stage themes are enjoyable and I like that as a touch. The other positive is the speed run potential this game certainly has even if it is bad.

Now here is my issue with the game.
It came out after something like x6 which is actually a decent game and something I enjoy playing through every now and then.
But x7 starts off bad by having the worst cast of bosses outside of maybe one who I feel was somewhat passable.
On top of that this games voice acting is insanely bad. The thing that makes the voice acting bad is the lack of direction and emotion that every other mega man with voice acting did right.

The stages are some of the easiest things I have played in the series to the point I did a no damage run of all of them by this point.

But the worst thing is that the story gets thrown out the window from x6. Its so bad that I could spoil it in 2 words.
Gang war. Because that's what happens with the crew when they meet the new guy Axl. In a sense that is.

The graphics weren't the worst I have seen on the ps2 but not the best either.

3/10.
A game so bad it sucked the fun and creativity out of reviewing it.

the choice to me is the original series. I honestly enjoy all the games there and have a blast going through them. my favorites are either 9 or 4.

the x games though are fun in their own right.

x1 and x4 have to be the standout good games unlike x7 which ill be sure to do a review on in the near future.
