Thanks for the welcome, all. Will do my best to try and join the fun in the boards.

sonicmcmuffin : I was still a fairly young un' so I mostly stuck to the mario and star fox type games on snes back then. Got more into the rpg's as I got older. But genesis was all about sonic. I still have my original genesis in working order with all of the Sonic games except CD. May make me weird, but I even like Sonic Spinball

I'll say, When I was your age, we'd go find sticks in the woods and pretend they were swords or guns, and then later tie strings on the end and try to catch fish in the creek. Obviously I had snes and genesis and all that fun stuff when I was a kid, but my favorite toys usually weren't supposed to be toys at all. Just a bunch of kids with crazy imaginations.

Lol, I was at the grocery store the other day. Got bored and decided to mess with people. Got to the snacks aisle and yelled, "Where are all the twinkies?!? I can't live without them!"...

No one got it...Needless to say, I left and made my purchases at a different store.

Hey Guys,

Really new to the site, but I'm a huge history buff (Majored in it in college) and I'm a bit obsessive over the stupidest little facts about history. So here we go. On this day in history, December 4th:

1563: The final session of the Council of Trent was held, issuing one of the largest reformations in the history of the Catholic Church.
1791: The first issue of The Observer was printed, making it the World's first Sunday paper. It's still in circulation to this day.
1954: The first Burger King opened in Miami, Florida.
1980: Led Zeppelin announced their official break up. (Drummer, John Bonham, had died in September.
1991: Pan American Airways flew its final flight and ceased operations.

Famous persons born on December 4th include:
1949: Jeff Bridges, Academy Award winning Actor.
1969: Shawn Carter, now known as the rapper and producer, Jay-Z.

Famous persons dying on December 4th include:
1679: Thomas Hobbes, English philosopher largely credited as one of the founders of modern political philosophy.
1993: Frank Zappa, One of the greatest musicians and composers of the 20th Century.

Hope this isn't a tl;dr for anyone. Let me know if you like this and I'll post more like it for other days of the year.

Hey All,

New Vizzer here. Not usually much of a talker on forums, but I could get used to it with games involved. Love me some old school Snes and Genesis action.
