One time my dad misread a recipe and threw several incredibly hot peppers in some curry that only needed 1 of those. It was so hot that I couldn't even taste the dish anymore, I could just taste the hotness and burning of my tongue. |

My counter is currently at 25. Despite competing in this Tour de Vizzed I haven't written any. My last one is over 3 years ago actually. If I ever do go for a fourth victory I'm sure I'll be adding to that tally Despite competing in this Tour de Vizzed I haven't written any. My last one is over 3 years ago actually. Araquanid is an interesting one. If you looked at its stats it would be rather unremarkable. A great special defense stat but nothing else that makes you think it's anything above average. And just like similarly perceived bug type pokemon such as Galvantula or Leavanny, it gets access to one of the best moves in the game in Sticky Web. Sticky Web is an entry hazard like spikes or stealth rock, but unlike its brethren it does not cause damage when your opponent switches a pokemon in. Instead, it will automatically lower the speed stat of the incoming pokemon by 1. In a turn based battle system, the speed stat is widely considered to be the most important one. With Sticky Web on the field, you can then use other destructive offensive pokemon normally held back by a mediocre speed stat to actually outspeed and K.O. everything in your path. This niche in itself would give Araquanid a good score, but then you look at its ability. Water Bubble is a signature ability to Araquanid, and it is incredibly broken. It gives you not one, not two, but THREE abilities in one. First of all, it makes you immune to burn (such as the ability Water Veil). It also halves the damage you take from Fire moves (like Heatproof), essentially giving Araquanid a fire resistance. And if that wasn't enough, it also DOUBLES your water type damage. Just a straight up x2 multiplier to damage. Add this on top of your x1.5 multiplier from being a water type pokemon and your average attack stat does not matter anymore. Absolutely insane. Of course Araquanid is still held back by its other stats, which prevents it from being broken, but it is a very clear threat in its own right. I'd give it an 8.5/10 Since he just got a mega evolution, Dragonite is up next Sticky Web is an entry hazard like spikes or stealth rock, but unlike its brethren it does not cause damage when your opponent switches a pokemon in. I got caught by surprise today. Sun beaming when I went out, a minute later and I felt some raindrops. Unlike last time I wasn't dressed for this potential outcome so I got kind of wet by the time I was back. |

Hey man, this was a good review, especially when you haven't written many yet. You gave details, examples, and comparisons that helped me understand more about a game I had never heard of. I'd maybe advice you to space out your paragraphs with an empty line so it reads a little bit easier. Since you're even younger than me, what drew you to this old game? I had never heard of it before your review, I might have to look into it ![]() You gave details, examples, and comparisons that helped me understand more about a game I had never heard of. I've hit 500.000 words! I feel pretty good about that one, together with hitting 50.000 CP I've basically hit the second best milestone for both categories this month. At the rate of my average, 63 words per post, I'm projected to be around 630.000 words by the time I hit 10.000 posts. Pretty neat At the rate of my average, 63 words per post, I'm projected to be around 630.000 words by the time I hit 10.000 posts. Pretty neat |

I'm 7 points ahead in Blue so just getting 1 point today would be enough to secure it for me. Happy to be back in the Hall of Fame! Congrats tornado as he is about to end this month with the third highest score ever recorded in a TdV! His dominance in yellow and red were key factors in getting him this far. That yellow scoreboard might be one of the most dominant jersey wins of all time. Second place (me) doesn't even have a third of the points he does. Well earned victory. Congrats classgame on another top two finish and a green jersey win! You're definitely a very consistent competitor. Today me and SonicOlmstead started our Mario World playthrough. We are playing as Luigi whose slippery mechanics make the game a lot more difficult! |

Going generation by generation Gen 1 - Poliwrath! This guy is my favorite gen 1 Pokemon and an absolute beast. He has a very solid stat distribution which allows him to be naturally tanky, and his typing is incredibly useful. He kind of gets overshadowed by the many other water types in Kanto like Blastoise, Gyarados, Lapras, ... Gen 2 - Forretress. Steel typing is obviously great, but almost everyone looks to the Scizors and Skarmory's of this world. Forretress shares Scizor's incredible typing and is a great utility pokemon, getting entry hazards, thunder wave etc. He's not just a passive wall either, he's got a very respectable attack stat and can hit surprisingly hard with Gyro Ball, Bug Bite, Payback (almost always boosted to 100 due to his slow speed). Gen 3 - Ninjask. Everyone knows how broken Shedinja is, but Ninjask is incredible too! Speed boost is obviously a great ability, but pair that with swords dance and baton pass and you have a pokemon that can turn any team member into a sweeper. Bug/Flying is on paper not an incredible type, but honestly I found plenty opportunities to safely set up a swords dance, and from there you don't even need Ninjask anymore as you baton pass into your other pokemon. Great support pokemon! Gen 4 - Drapion has incredible stats and an even better typing. It is bulky, shockingly fast and you can run a very fun sniper set with a scope lens item and moves like Night Slash and Cross Poison to score many destructive critical hits. Gen 5 - Archeops often gets dismissed because of its ability, but honestly this guy is a main stay on my Unova teams and I swear the ability has never let this thing down. It just destroys everything in its path before Defeatist can even activate. Those STAB acrobatics just sweep through entire enemy teams before you can blink. Gen 6 - Avalugg unfortunately has one of the worst types in the game. Nevertheless is is still an incredibly underrated pokemon. The sheer physical bulk it has makes anything not super effective essentially just a tiny scratch, and it hits quite hard back. Gen 7 - Araquanid has one of the most broken abilities and this alone turns it into an underrated beast. Sticky web on top of that? Wow Gen 8 - Runerigus was a monster on my team. Great typing and stats, and the ability can make you disrupt enemy pokemon that rely on their abilities (huge power pokemon for example). Probably the stupidest evolution method ever though so nobody uses this thing. Gen 9 - Lokix. What?? The route 2 bug type is a big threat? Yes it is, it hits hard as hell and gets crazy moves including first impression. Gen 1 - Poliwrath! This guy is my favorite gen 1 Pokemon and an absolute beast. I've also been playing Persona 5: The Phantom X or whatever the mobile game is. I'm starting like a month or so late and Joker is no longer available, so I've been rerolling accounts to get some early five star pulls and limit how far behind I am compared to others. I happen to dislike the current banner characters so I rerolled for a standard five star and today I got Ryuji! Currently in the midst of beating the first palace. Enjoying the game so far! You know looking at the graph, I had 0 points about halfway into this competition. To end up walking away with a jersey win despite the 14 day head start others had is kind of incredible. I don't even need 7 pointers anymore, just holding off tornado even a little is enough to keep my lead. Unfortunate that no new user has scored yet. That's just how it goes I suppose. Dauntez : I'll see what I can do. Honestly it would be great though, makes my life in this competition easier lol I don't even need 7 pointers anymore, just holding off tornado even a little is enough to keep my lead. Silver felt like he had the most character development. His backstory is really interesting and I liked that they made his growth clear by giving him his friendship evolutions in the post game. He also had some decently challenging fights here and there. I played the Pokemon Masters mobile game for several years and Silver was one of the best characters in that game, they really gave him the spotlight to shine. Yeah it's Paldea. I think Kalos and Galar are close contenders but despite the fun I had playing through Paldea with friends, the region itself contributed about 0 to that. Only the final area with the paradox forms was remotely cool. Oh and that one jungle section. |

The European in me got recommended a playlist of this year's Eurovision songs and I've been listening to those again. I'd say it was a weaker year overall, I didn't particularly have any major favorites other than Albania and Finland, neither of which won the contest. |

I love Spongebob, grew up with it and it has caused plenty of laughter in our living room. I do think it's a show that you had to have experienced to fully appreciate it now. As a kid it's just funny silly jokes, but there are so many innuendos, satirical takes on societal topics etc that make it fun to revisit episodes you remember from your childhood. I experienced it in the Dutch dub and still find enjoyment in commonly shared English clips. In my opinion it's also a great source show for gif reactions and simple memes which I do enjoy.
