I downloaded the new one and it say's a problem occurred with the Package while I was installing it. I am currently using the 2.25 version because the 2.30 won't work it just always loads the pop up for the game then it says Game Closed. But I can not even install the 2.40 version. Anyone with any suggestions?

P.O.W. Review

Ok Starting out in this game is an old school NES war game. I like the position and starting of this game with the first mission/level being you escaping from your prison cell, but I have no idea where you got the dynamite to do that. You will notice right off the bat the NES Graphics...not the greatest. But I find the graphics in this game are better than most fighting and war games on NES like Predator and such. For this I have given the Graphics and 7 out of 10.

The sound isn't too bad at all. You get a lot of cool elements in this game Gun shots, Grenades exploding, Helicopters Tanks and some other stuff. Attacking sounds are a bit lacking but hey it was NES...come on how good could it possibly be? The music in the game is what does it for me. That is why I gave the Sound a 6 out of 10 instead of 4 or 5.

This game is not easy so it will have you sucked in playing this for a while unless you happened to have owned it or played it many time over like I have. Yes I have owned this game and beaten it many times over and I still Love to play it. Seriously additive to me, but for most however you might not be addicted to it as much as me but you will want to finish the game most likely. The levels get immensely harder as you go along so I see a lot of continues in your future. That is why I gave the game Only a 7 out of 10 in addictiveness.

Well the Main story starts out as the title screen indicates...You're a Prisoner of War. "P.O.W" so you will be escaping from a hostile enemy in the middle of their war torn lands. As you follow through with the game you start to notice that you are not only escaping but trying to sabotage the enemy forces while doing so it evolves a little but not much. You get some nice action with certain battles but other than that it's pretty much straight forward. That is why I gave it a 6 out of 10 on the Story. Most people would probably rate it lower although.

Ok as far as the story goes it pretty much straight forward and when it comes to depth it is pretty much the same except this is where a lot of the elements combine to make it a pretty good overall game for NES. I gave the Overall score and 8.5 and stand by that as a good score due to the platform it is presented on. The game isn't to packed when it comes to missions or any side things. You can get gain armor, brass knuckles, machine guns throw able knives and extra life to help, but it is mostly just difficult and will require time to advance through the levels. So that is where the depth comes into the game.

Now the difficulty. This game will probably have you beating your head of the keyboard or wall. You only get 3 lives and yes you will most likely be using a few of them before you make it through half way of the second level. The first level isn't too bad but as you go on through the game it honestly gets a lot tougher. The boss on the first level isn't too bad unlike the next 3-4 bosses. Even the regular enemies get harder, faster and take even more attacks to kill and gain other abilities. I honestly have NEVER beaten the game on just the 3 lives they give you at the start. I have always had to use the extra lives cheat code which I will not provide because it takes away from the aspect of the game but if you really want to beat it look it up.  Honestly try it without the cheat a few times to see if you can best it without cheating. Due to the way the game get exponentially harder I gave the difficulty a 10 out of 10.

When it comes to overall score on this game like stated above I give it a 8.5 out of 10. It is a very good game that came out on a old platform that probably should have continued in sequels on newer platforms and I am a little disappointed that it did not. But like a lot of NES games this is a common thing. Be sure to give this one a try I'm sure you will either love it or hate it.

Nope, I uninstalled 2.25 and installed 2.30 and it still doesn't work.

I am using Firefox on Windows XP looks like I will be using 2.25 until 2.30 bugs are worked out.

I have also noticed now that all the games with the 2.25 RGR plugin speed up and slow down all the time it's like turbo mode in Street Fighter 2 for a few seconds then regular speed.

I still can not use the Mess system supported for Sega CD...the emulator loads up then it crashes saying it's not supported on the device at the bottom of the game box.

There are some serious issues here and I am far from happy.

I hear others are having the same problem with 2.30.

The new Updated Plug in sets my PC Matic off and it won't allow the plug in to run. I didn't see anything About this anywhere else so If anyone has any answers I"m all ears.

I would really hate to have to turn off my Anti-Virus to play games here.

Hi, I have issues with playing Mame games and 64 games. Everytime I try to play a Error msg pop up and says "Proposed video mode not supported on Device \. DISPLAY1".

I have tried to figure it out myself with display resolutions and upgrading DirectX and other things but I'm lost and I'm not really computer savy...If there is anyone out there that can help me please I beg of you help me! I want to play these games because they are the best quality and have better options in them. Please Post your thoughts here or PM me with suggestions please.

I downloaded Chrome yesterday and its working fine...actually better than firefox did. Its not as slow and the frames work better. I don't know what the difference is. Maybe you have to have it before the problem occurred for it not the work? I don't know, I just hope David and his buddies can fix it.

I don't know if going back to the old firefox is a good idea since in can damage your computer. But ill give it a shot...I just don't want to mess my computer up...not all of us can afford to pay someone to fix our computers. Heck I'm still running a graphics card that won't allow me to play anything above 32 bit games.

The fact that this is taking a good amount of time to just figure out the problem says something about this problem. It must be a tough one to figure out. All of us gamers pray for a quick fix!

Ok thank you for trying MrKoolNerd. I didn't know if it would work but sometimes stuff like that does. It looks like I won't be playing Vizzed games that need the plug in for a while.

Could someone post a list of platforms that you can use without being super slow and glitchy with the other emulators? I know Regular Nintendo works fine with the older Emulators. I don't know what else does though.

Yea I'm getting "The Plug-in not found" message with Fire Fox as well. Plus my Internet Explorer won't let me play it keep shutting down and rebooting the web page like stated earlier.

Has anyone tried Un installing the plug in, deleting it and downloading it again to see if Fire Fox will work with it?

I have no clue if it would work but it could be a solution.

playing these games on the regular Emulators is such a pain. It took me 20 minutes just to get through the first stage on Final Fight SNES using the java emulator.

That is not fun!

Please davideo7 figure this out ASAP because I love playing games on this site!

When it comes to the Final Fight games this is a rather good one! It's graphics are not the best(due to the fact its on GBA) but they are not the worst I have seen. If you notice while playing it has some features that's only Final Fight CD(Sega CD) and the Arcade versions have. All 3 Characters Guy, Cody and Haggar are playable. But like I said earlier it lacks the graphics.

One of the cool things I seen with this game is the original names of the first 2 bosses are in this game! The game has some pretty cool features when it comes to cheats. They are located in the Options special menu which include new clothing colors for all 3 characters and Guy and Cody have special outfits. Plus you can get the rapid punch feature which allows you to just hold the attack button down and it rapid punches. Overall very good cheats.

Difficulty ranges in very decent margins until you get to the "very hard" setting. I do not recommend anyone who isn't used to playing any version of Final Fight to try this until you get your barrings. Even I got owned on the Very Hard setting. You are surrounded constantly by 5-7 enemies. Plus you don't often get life boosts. So start out on easy and work your way up.

Over all it is a really good game so take my advice and give it a shot its rather addictive! Just enjoy yourself and have fun!
