I don't poke around here a lot anymore, but that's great news David. I hope you really enjoy your new position and you make more money and have greater peace in your life. You are a talented guy and I'm glad you found a new outlet for those talents.

Eni, are you at all interested in Sonic Prime? Will you watch the new Sonic movie when it comes out?

Also, this is a question I'm asking a lot of my friends right now:

What do you think love is?

What's with your new Discord anime profile picture?

Think you'll ever watch Cowboy Bebop?

How do you feel about various country's treatment of COVID-19?

Yes, but unfortunately, none have ever lived to tell about it.

I heard that the voice actor for Mario-and Waluigi and many others said that he'd love a game about Waliugi. He suggested that the game would be funny especially if you had to make Waluigi cheat to win.

Already that sounds like more fun than a lot of Mario games that are out today to me. : P

Sex is only one piece of the pie. There's a lot more that goes into it, but I don't think you want a big lecture right now.

Tell you what. I used to be a big womanizer in the past, and I still uphold some potentially negative parts of chivalry.

There are some tricks you could employ, the "alpha male strategy." However, this turns it all into a big "game" and the moment you choose to stop playing, you'll lose her to someone more attractive. Also, emulating "alpha male" traits is hard in the first place. For a third. . . "alpha males" don't attract the cream of the crop. They basically attract people who are just as fake as they are.

The most attractive men and women are graded by the masses, but they ultimately are the result of social stigma and popular opinion. They are people who appeal to base instincts, but not to logic, which is a pretty surefire way to fail in a long term relationship.

I know one guy who's tried to emulate "alpha male" traits in order to court girls he wants to marry one day. In his own words he likes to go after girls who are "young and dumb." five years younger than him. He can't get any of them to marry him though. He's been engaged six different times, and the fathers have always stepped in and said "no."

Of course, he blames the dads, but be honest, what's really going on here? The girl could leave her family if she wanted too. The truth is, he's just not worth picking over her family to her, the whole "Her father didn't let me marry her" is bulls***, unless you're dealing with some kindof abusive relationship between the daughter and father. But even then the daughter has to recognize the abuse and say "no more."

On the other hand, is it really becoming free from abuse to run off with your lover and abandon your family? Coming from an abused background, you may not know what a healthy relationship looks like along with a multitude of other uncertainties. I don't recommend women from abusive homes run off with a good man. I recommend they seek financial independence first and they get a good understanding of life before they hastily commit to a relationship. People have been treating new relationships like they are the end all-be all cure for everything. Nope, they're just another part of life that you have do correctly with a lot of responsibility. You aren't dead yet, and until you are, you'll always be responsible for something. Granted, running off with what seems to be a good man may be the best chance a girl has at leaving an abusive home life. . . she better exercise a lot of wisdom before choosing to do so.

We need to find ourselves before we find someone to love.

My advice is to plan your life out another way. Seek financial security. That alone will attract a girl if you're wondering. Just be wary of who you let into your life when you achieve that, because there are plenty of girls who'll have a few kids, and then divorce you and keep the children for themselves.

There's always a place for you in other people's lives if you produce something they need. For most of us, that's money, but sometimes it can also be wisdom or humor.

In the end, I'd just suggest you look at the whole circle that's meant to come with sex--that being a family, a future, actual relationships, and responsibility.

You'll be happier owning up to these things rather than just seeking pleasure all the time anyways. I had to tell a few girls "no" last year for one reason or another. One actually tried to get me to be her backup boyfriend--which tells me enough about her character to not give her a chance.

You wanna have sex? Set aside some of your wages and hire a prostitute. I don't recommend that you do it for various reasons that would make my post far longer, but if all you want is sex, then that's how you get it.

Being a virgin is nothing to be shamed of. I'm still a virgin, and I plan to keep it that way till I'm married. I only want to have one person in my mind sexually. It will make you a lot more committed to someone if you aren't constantly comparing her against past partners/porn stars/anime girls, and you'll enjoy her way more.

I remember my ex didn't look very good to most people I showed her pictures too. I thoughts he looked great though because I wasn't polluting my mind with unrealistically beautiful anime girls or porn, and I wasn't sexually satisfying myself in other ways, although I still have wet dreams when half asleep like all men do. I don't look up porn. . . I don't read romance. . . I still think my ex looks nice.

Nothing is better than being content in life, and not being in the stupid rat-race everyone else is in. Go your own way. Why does society get to tell you what's cool and what isn't? If you're being teased for being a virgin, then maybe you need to change who you hang around. People laugh at me till they hear about the money make and not spend on a girl who would be ungrateful for it. All my money I make is for my own family one day. I also avoid all the dramatic nonsense most people dating today have to deal with. Life is great.

Focus on being productive, not on having sex. That'll leave you in a pit that's difficult to come out of. You can have all the fun you want after you're wisely set everything up. You're 21? I didn't get a decent paying job till I turned 24. The sooner you accept responsibility in life, the sooner you'll start to be able to enjoy it to it's fullest!

I just opened up Substance Painter to get to work on some models for a project I joined recently. I've been model making for a while, and after a year, what you make can look pretty decent.

Usually I do it for my dayjob, but I enjoy donating to projects like these every once in a while. The project in particular is a Mount and Blade mod for Warband called Perisno. I have to make some more unique armors for existing factions. Since they have a german influence on them, I'm pretty happy to make them!

Hey man, it's great to hear from you again!

My brother has been doing DnD a lot, though I don't think I have time for it. Right now, I've mostly been focused on solidfying my career on PC. I plan to get some fencing equipment and practicing HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) though. I also enjoy playing a really well made shooter game on Roblox when I have the time. I have to play as a sniper though cause my internet lag is really bad.

Donating some of my model making skills to my favorite mods of Mount and Blade Warband. (I really enjoy modeling the various types of armor, ect.) Life has been really good for me this year and when I quit roofing I'm sure I'll do more things for fun.

Had no idea that the DnD games were any good. Upon first hearing about them on the SNES, I would have thought they were shallow cash grabs. Nice to hear they're actually done justice.

There are two things I need to do in life a bit better. This year and in the year past I decided to be nicer to people with different opinions and not be this holy person who tells others what's right and wrong.

However, I missed the mark on two other key things that would really help me in life.

1. I need to worry less.

I guess a lot of people ask how someone like me could worry given my last update on this site. Well, the first is that financial security is not necessarily laid in stone. Somebody I know recently lost all his bitcoin because his information was stolen while he was pirating something. You can have it all and just because life is going perfect one moment doesn't mean it'll stay that way.

I definitely plan to stay wary of my position in life and anticipate the future tactically, however, kindof like Eni said in her opening post, you need a plan b, plan c, and so on. I have faith in my stocks and investments, and I appreciate the wealth of information my father gave me on how to invest money and such. Someone I know lost all their bitcoin recently. Life will hit you in the blindside if you aren't careful and wary. My problem is I tend to be too wary to the point it affects my emotions negatively. This isn't the MAIN problem as much as. . .

2. I need to eat right.

I'm not fat. I just need to eat right for emotional reasons. Yes, you read that right. My food highly affects my emotions, what's up with that?

Well, a long story short, Sword Legion decided that he didn't like the dental system. Sword Legion was given a cool book by his mom that taught him how to remove cavities through diet alone. The diet focused on increasing vitamin D and E intake, while removing sugar and gluten. The problem is that buying your own food can get expensive, and I hate spending money that I could invest instead. I also am not a huge fan of cooking for myself when I'm trying to work two jobs and still write when I have time.

When I'm on my diet, I feel great. The tooth healing diet will do wonders for your overall energy and your bone health as well. I kick ass on the job site, out producing the other guys and my body doesn't get sore as easily as theirs does because my blood has the proper ratios and makes it as easy as possible for the red blood cells to do their job.

But what happens when I get off my diet? Because I'm just eating whatever's readily available, I find myself eating garbage that does the opposite of that. My body cant' stand the massive amounts of sugars, and it makes me very tired. It also heightens my emotional state and brings whatever in the back of my mind to the fore front. Secret fears about the future? Bang: Suddenly I worry that I could lose everything. I worry my best friends will just leave one day. I'm worried my new boss--in spite of being great friends and having him as a true mentor--that he is disappointed in me and hates me in spite of recently promoting me to the second highest salary on the entire team.

Even as much as has gone right in life, I am still having a hard time in some area. I need to have more discipline and simplify my life a bit. All year I've been making models for a new project I joined--and while I have been paid--my book series has suffered a bit because of it.

I'm going to get my diet back in order so that I can at least.

3. Bonus resolution

I want to get more invested in my friend's works. I have a few friends who write and I want to read their stuff, but I'm always busy on my own projects trying to get ahead in life. I want to be more supportive like I used to be. I've done on this front in some way--mostly the revival of an old fanfiction review group I used to run on Deviantart. Been having fun with that. But there I'm only reviewing stranger's fanfictions. I want to get back to reviewing my favorite friends works.

That sums it up for me.

Definitely Vectorman, even if it's just for the music, I want to see the third game's installment in the series. Originally a story was planned for Vectorman to find his original creator and why he was so different. The fact that it would have been in 3D also really inspired me, since I have great memories of my favorite franchises first move into the 3D environment.

It just had an interesting premise for a series, a great artistic direction and great gameplay.

Think that dkmec20 said it best. I personally don't care for the same reason. I don't need to see another story about love, and about the toys when the 3rd movie finished the arc so well. The idea is getting old at this point, and to have a long standing series, we need better world building that this. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pixar already know's the idea isn't that great, and therefore people won't care too much.

I mean, what will we watch it for? To learn that we should always be loyal to the people we love? You can't repeat the same thing forever and get away with it. Look at Star Wars, it's being eaten alive. I'm surprised more people didn't fall away at The Force Awakens instead of The Last Jedi what with another Death Star. Just so I can laugh really hard, I hope we get another--nother Death Star in Rise of Skywalker!

GOTH is not a series I watch, but it has a really deep world, and an ongoing conflict. That's interesting. Toy Story is feeling like the new Ice Age at this point--burnt out, and recycled.

You have to have a long term plan for your series if you want to keep giving it life. You have to have good characters, and a good settings. If you only have good characters, then long term investment in the world falls out, and you're audience ceases appreciating it.

Dragonshark eh? You must mean something like Leviathan from the Bible then. : P

I came to this website for the same reason, although it's hard to get me to play any new games. Still, it's a small world and I've found myself coming back to these forums almost every day. Yeah, I played games with a cleaner conscious on here. . . though I do wonder about it at times. If I were honest, I don't think it's legal, but if the companies don't actively do anything about it, then I doubt it's a problem. Besides, many of the games on here are not being sold or made available in any other way aside from getting the old hardware which is no longer in production. Vizzed is a museum of respect in those regards. They also take down games when the companies that own them ask. It was a hack of A Link to the Past that actually first got me on this site. It's called Parallel Worlds--and it's pretty good! Fan made hacks were a major reason I loved retro games--their creativity added so much more life to games I already loved. Retro games tend to be harder, and that's also a huge plus for me. So many games today are boring and easy.

My username comes from two things. The first is that I loved the Darknuts, from the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. The idea of the Roman legions of soldiers and their consistent armor. I simply liked the thought of 6,000 armed men in the same uniform, bearing the sword as their weapon. The name simply fit me.

Here are my questions for you as a new member to the board.

1. You bring up the Bible right away? Brave! Most people don't care to mention it--which is shameful. We were told to proclaim that message--not in a mean way, but people should see that we are different. What inspires you about the Bible. Is there any particular wisdom in it that stands out to you?

2. What are you favorite video game franchises? What makes you like them so much?

Well, I gave all that a read, and we spoke about it in PMs. I'm going to say what I said earlier if I recall correctly.

Nintendo really doesn't care about the timeline. The best evidence I can give you comes from Hyrule Historia itself. If you have a copy of the book, one of the first things you'll notice is how much it promotes Skyward Sword at the time. The front of the book is full of concept art and descriptions in great disproportion compared to the rest of the games. (OOT and MM get so little concept artwork in this book.)

If you want a coherent Zelda Timeline that was actually made with some thought, then here it is:

Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Twilight Princess

That's it.

The handheld games that use Twinrova and came out on the GBC? Can't fit that in. BOTW? The game takes place at least ten thousand years away from any other known game in the timeline (presumably after OOT) and it still references events from multiple "timelines."

The very fact that they need to use split timelines shows that Nintendo just doesn't care about continuity in the grand scheme of it.

Zelda quit having a meaningful story a long time ago. It ended with Twilight Princess, and while Skyward Sword attempts to have such a story, the concepts, huge swap to Japanese themes and abandonment of many core themes makes it stick out like a sore thumb. You want to see the real origin of spirituality in the Zelda universe? Look up celtic stuff. Look up the original three goddesses and Epona. Look up anything remotely European and you'll get a clear idea.

The Goddess Hylia almost makes sense, because she could represent the fourth and separated piece of the triforce we see on the Hylian Shield in OOT. But then this game went ahead and told us that Link is just reincarnated every new life in every new game. I can't tell you how much I hate this idea--that the salvation plan in Hyrule is nothing but a perpetual cycle where Ganondorf (Who is repossessed by Demise) will keep bringing Hyrule to ruin, and a child will keep stopping him.

It's so dull. It lacks depth. It makes the Goddesses people to be hated. BOTW really took Skyward Sword's terrible ideas and blew it through the roof. You want to see how much Nintendo cares about the story and timeline? Here you go?

According to the canon in BOTW, Link was able to best master swordsmen when he was only four years old. Not ten--not eight--but four years old. This is worse than Anakin Skywalker blowing up the Trade Federation ship. I'm already pissed off the Dragon Prince is trying to do the same thing on Netflix. (I'm not talking about Ezran--but the child queen who had two moms.)

There are other offenses. . . like making every single one of the other champions die, or making the guardians go rouge with weak explanations. BOTW is the worst story I've ever seen in a Zelda game, it's fortunate that the gameplay is good.

On your general article though. . . You want to say the the Picori created what essentially became the goddess sword one day? Sure, that works for me. Want to say the Gorons and Geruado are the same species? I'm not on that boat because in OOT we are informed that Geruados get boyfriends from Hyrule Castle Town thanks to a gossip stone. The map from SS all the way to TP are generally similar enough for me to say are the same general area. What I cannot accept is how drastically the inhabitants have changed between SS and OOT. Kiwi, Mogmas and other well established races simply vanish? Yeah right, one century is not enough time for any culture in our human history to disappear when they've held land for a large period of time. A race doesn't just disappear like that for nothing. And they don't just give up the land they own without a fight. TP is somewhat guilty of this as well regarding the Kokiri, but at least they are hidden in the Lost Woods were people presumably get lost. I'm just guessing there though.

So yeah, I really, really don't care for SS or anything made after the fact. All of the sudden we get a Japanese and an Eastern look on the franchise when that had little to do with it's conception. It's okay to reinvent a series, but why would you do that when people already love so much about OOT and MM? Come on--those titles are revered masterpieces. I just can't believe Nintendo wants to pretend that they are coherently making "sequals" that are all part of the same series. At least Final Fantasy will admit it's a different universe every time. (Well. . . most of the time.)

Zelda is a series I held close to my heart. . . but as a result, I've come to criticize it after playing way better written games like KOTOR, or Hollow Knight. You made a cool little article and I like it. I even agree with most of it, but don't pretend that Nintendo knows what they are doing. You can find so many small inconsistencies that it's erratic. I don't consider the series intertwined very well at all, at least not in recent years. You could easily Divide Zeld up into Four different universes. I do the following:

Universe 1.

Zelda 1 and 2. (Pretty simple.)

Universe 2.

OOT
MM
TP
LTTP (Alternate timeline option. . . I think. Still hate alternate timelines though.)

Universe 3.

Anything with Toon Link. Funny thing is, the story is actually pretty consistent with these games, as each one tends to directly reference the last. So it's more than the art choice that stays the same.

Universe 4.

Everything else that doesn't fit. Stuff is based around SS and BOTW.

There, problems solved. God job looking this over. I still believe most of what's "canon" is really stupid and an after thought, starting as early as Wind Waker, but it's whatever. Damn, I wish the series just kept using the same art style and maybe kept using the same Link it was using in OOT and MM. Even as much as I like TP, I think that game needs help and was an over correction. (Kindof like how Shadow the Hedgehog was an over-correction, but I digress.)

I know that was pretty negative, but that rant felt good. Thanks for giving me a place to post it. : P

It's a simple thread on a simple date. I'm just curious to see what everyone else things. For me. . . if I were to describe the most important trait. . . I think it's commitment. . . or determination for me personally. If you have a desire and a will to win--if you have decided that you will do whatever you can to make this work and it's a priority in you life, then it should. It's all I've boiled all of my goals in life too. You want something? Put effort into it. Learn how it works, be commitment, and don't be too feely.

I hate the idea of love being something that spawns naturally. I don't believe that even friendships are this way. There is a natural part of our instincts that drives us to have relationships, but in reality we all hate each other on some days. That's why I'd rather put emphasis on choice and logic.

I think that selfishness ruins relationships the most--and that's not far from a lack of commitment if you think about it. What people lack the most is commitment. In a consumerist hook up culture, it's fine to waste a few months of someone else's life just to move on to someone better. Suddenly, people start turning thirty and they realize that the perfect person for them doesn't exist, and then they start settling. It's really sad since if they had just found someone with good character--maybe the two of them could have grown together in a relationship of love and effort rather than looking for easy highs.

My thoughts are pretty old fashioned. There's no denial here. So now it's your turn. Tell me your thoughts. What do you think is the most important part of a relationship. Also, what do you think that people lack the most?

I remember the day I got out of the dentist's office. I was walking on the pavement outside through one of the most popular tourist locations in my home town. The information had just hit me. The fact that I was born with under bite and took years of Orthodontic Work wasn't enough. That I had 13 cavities because of my genetics by the time I was the same number of years old wasn't either.

The reality was, that my teeth were failing, and now the most dreaded of news had come my way. The dentist wrote down the name of another dentist on a piece of paper and gave my mom the bad news. One of my molars on the right hand side of my mouth had basically died. It couldn't feel hot nor cold, and the X-rays seemed to suggest that I would need a root canal. If I didn't get this treated, I would risk and abscess and terrible pain. Pain that would eventually translate into actual permanent damage and death. Everyone knows the risks of poor dental hygiene. That's why everyone does what their dentist says, fight the losing battle of brushing and flossing--doing what everyone else does.

Honestly, I can't blame them. Even I was the same way.

But when you do a decent job and you still get screwed over, you start asking yourself the real questions in life. Why does this line of thinking keep failing me? What isn't working? Well. . . truth be told, I knew what wasn't working. There's a long story about that thanks to my own mom. My mom is a cancer survivor. . .

I remember when my mom was given ten years to live. She went crazy and started juicing celery, carrots and all this weird stuff. She explained to us that after much research--that many modern diseases were actually the result of a lack of nutrients. She totally cut processed sugar and bread from her diet. She took wheat grass (which is very different than wheat!) and started to feed us healthier as well. That was fourteen years ago, and she's totally killed her cancer. The tumors in her throat shrank and she became much more active. It was a miracle that I got to watch. . .

And a miracle that I would replicate.

Upon seeing my despair, my mom gave me a book that she had been recommended by her friends. She said that she had tried to implement what the book said too, but it was not the same as curing cancer and it was too hard for her. The book was titled pretty simply.

Cure Tooth Decay: Heal And Prevent Cavities With Nutrition

First, I dabbled in keeping the protocol. I did a proof of concept test week to show that I could do without sugar. Later, as the months went by, I began to remove more garbage from my diet. However, I was only dabbling, and eventually I started to feel weird sensations in the right hand side of my mouth. I remember that evening when I walked into the living room to watch spirited away with my brother for the first time ever. These new feelings. . . it was a very low key type of pain. It didn't actually hurt, but it felt very awkward. . . that was when I knew I had to be serious.

I cleaned out every bad thing from my diet that the book had mentioned. I started to read through it a second time. A huge premise in the book is how much worse off our modern diet is because of lack of nutrition. In fact the book says much of what my mom had been saying over the years--that modern diseases are a result of deficiency. Skeletons across the world often have perfect teeth. If a person looks at old medical records that compare the nutrition of people who lived in isolate areas--away from the dangers of cheap and processed food--and person will find that they were far better off. I began to look at several of the charts provided and did my best to determine what I must be deficient in. It took me three weeks to remove all the sensations from my mouth. . . but I finally found a stable diet that worked for me. What did I start to eat that actually cured my nerves and teeth?

1. Stir Fry.

My simple stir fry which I have almost every day consists of a few ingredients. The two most important are broccoli and mushrooms. Broccoli cured my Iron and Vitamin C deficiency and makes up 1/3rd of the entire dish! About 20% of the dish consists of Mushrooms which give me copper (And possibly B vitamins). Other ingredients I used included bell peppers, salt, smoked paprika, and of course, a lot of meat. The meat wasn't often very good though since it was cheap and existed to fill me up. Some meat of actual quality can help heal your teeth and gums quite a bit.

Learning to be content has helped a lot. Naturally, I'd mix the recipe up from time to time, but my choices were limited at first. Before I got my teeth to a stable line of health, I had to avoid nightshades which badly affect the red blood cells in your blood stream. One time I tried to have spinach, and it caused my gums to become inflated. Why? Well, that's because spinach has a wonderful element known as oxalic acid, and it's ten times worse than phytic acid in it's affects upon your blood stream.

Oh yeah, I couldn't have any type of seeds, grains, or bread on this diet because of phytic acid. Did I mention that?

Yeah, my diet was hell at first, but eventually I found my way around, and it was worth it.

2. Eggnog.

This is what I looked forward to every day. While avoiding bad foods was important in order to keep my body from constantly deteriorating, you also want ton include some very special revitalizing super foods. These super foods range from high quality beef, and bone marrow to special herbs and even raw milk. (Which is illegal to purchase technically. I'd say thanks Obama, but it's been this way long before him. I could tell you about the stories I hear from local elders about when the government bought out tons of dairy farms just in my local area.)

But what was my super food? I didn't really have access to raw milk, and what I needed was Vitamin D to revitalize my system. That was when I did the unthinkable--if you thought raw milk was scary, you should think about raw eggs.

My book assured me that much like the laws that have ruined the nutrition in milk via pasteurization--that many of the "risks" associated with eating raw eggs were merely propaganda. There's not way I was going to suck a yoke out of the shell though. . . that's where the Eggnog came in. By mixing a cup of milk, one egg yoke, some maple syrup, and cinnamon together, I created a delicious, ice cream like blend. It tasted wonderful, and most importantly--it gave me the vitamin D that I needed! Later I would have two or three raw eggs a day--straight from our own farm! If anyone wants to copy me in this procedure, then be warned! Factory eggs are useless. You must get eggs from chickens that live outdoors--preferable with grass to pick at and bugs to eat as much as their usual grain. Otherwise the eggs won't help you that much!

This is a diet I've followed off and on. At some point, my body's health stabilized and I found that I no longer needed to worry every single day about pain coming back. This was when I could have some fun and get off my diet briefly. Ice cream. . . breads. . . other treats are welcome every once in a while, but I have to watch it! If I go too loose for too long, my nerves will feel strange again, and that's when I have to quarantine myself from those pleasures!

I wouldn't have it any other way to be honest though. It's like I got a special "thorn in my flesh" which actually helps me stay on track because of it. (Corinthians 12:7-10) I've always wanted to a healthier diet in my life, but I kept waiting till I was ready. Then life forced me to do it early. Now I'm not worried about cancer or any other major health issues showing up in my life because I take care of myself now. I'm not nearly as anxious as I used to be, and I sleep a lot better.

So that is my adventure and how I healed my teeth. If you look up the book I mentioned, you'll learn all kinds of cool things, such as why teeth are actually living organisms with miles of microscopic blood streams going through them. Just know that if you do a diet like mine that your genetics will play a part in it. Some people need more of certain vitamins. . . others need less. It takes serious dedication, but in my opinion, it's well worth it.

And I will summon Light Knight: Since he's the one who suggested I make this thread. : P
