ruesen : Sorry for not responding, I have had a very busy week. It is true that just because you're friends with somebody of another race it doesn't mean that you're not racist. I meant that I was friends with these people because I treated them the way you're are supposed to treat people, rather than the way a racist person would. I guess that's not always true because I guess I can't say all people who are racist would express their feelings. Trust me, I'm not a racist person. I feel like I have said the word racist enough for ten lifetimes at this point. |

So I'm going to start off with a story here. My dad was on his Twitter and he noticed one of his friends from art school posted: "I am so tired of being around white people all the time." and he wanted to know what was going on. He legitimately wanted to know if she was having any sort of problems. When he tried to talk to her and make sure that he wasn't part of the white people she was tired of, she started to go off about how he was being racist and passive aggressive. I can assure you my father is not racist, as he had a kid with a half Japanese woman (me) and is now married to a half Mexican woman. He started to try to talk things out, but was told that he could never understand what black people go through. Now this is probably true, because he is not black and he could not know how black people feel. This is actually a little ironic to me though. Racism is where you treat a certain race in a certain way because of their race, is it not? So is saying, "I am so tired of white being around white people," racist? That would mean so. Without realizing it, she became what she hated. A racist person. I would like some opinions on "reverse racism" as it is called (but to me it is straight up racism, white people don't need a special name for racism against them) from you guys. Do you think it is valid to say that this was racist? Thanks for the opinions. Note: This is not in any way an attack on black people or defending white people. White people have their faults and sometimes are what this lady said, and black people are not always "reverse racist." Also, I don't want to be called racist because I am a quarter Japanese with a Mexican step-mom, and I have been friends with people of almost every race. Hm, well I'm just going to dump my favorite anime of all time on you right off the bat. Steins;Gate. It is more light-hearted at first (although I liked getting to know the characters), people have said it's too slow in the beginning. According to most, they thing the plot picks up around episode 9. Not going to spoil anything else. Another is a sort of scary sort of mystery story. It kept me on the edge of my seat for all 12 episodes and I really felt that I understood the characters. Fate Zero is one of my favorite anime, but you have to watch Fate Stay Night first, which is not as good but still pretty great. Stay Night is a little more silly, but it stays on track mostly. Ahh shoot I just realized all of these were said except Fate. Whatever. Oh, hey how about Guilty Crown? Very underrated due to the extreme hype before it came out, and I find it decent. The first and second halves are like two different anime. The first is definitely more silly than the second half. |

Greed without a doubt. He was the most interesting of the sins to me in the original Fullmetal Alchemist, and from the beginning of Brotherhood I was waiting for him to show up. I thought it was cool how Lin and Greed like were all fighting for the body and Greed decided that Lin was cool and wanted to be buds. |

I don't know if this thread already exists, but I searched for it and couldn't find it, so sorry if somebody already made it. Alright, I follow quite a few webcomics, here they are: Homestuck (the one that introduced me to webcomics) Prequel (deserves so much more of a fandom) Paranatural Ava's Demon (the art is amaaazing) Go Get a Roomie (so NSFW) Nuzlocke: Hard Mode Awkward Zombie Manly Guys Doing Manly Things Platinum Black (really new, but it can't be too bad because it is made by the person who made Manly Guys Doing Manly Things) What ones do you follow? Why do you like them? EideticMemory: I guess I never really thought of the atheists who are actually willing to accept the new ideas and go along with those. I did exactly what the guy in the video said, I put labels on people. I really should be more careful about the things I say. Sorry for sandwich posting don't kill me please. |

I currently am watching Mirai Nikki, and I'm on episode 16. After I'm done with that, I plan to watch Madoka Magica because I have heard that it takes the whole "magical girl" thing and puts a spin on it. While watching that, I think I'm going to watch the dubbed version of Attack on Titan. FrankThePunisherCastle: Dude, don't sandwich post. FrankThePunisherCastle: Dude, don't sandwich post. |

I personally don't see any reason to be against it, although I find the idea strange. If it makes people happy to marry multiple people, let them do it. What right do I have to take away somebody's happiness for no reason? None. Nobody should be told who they can or can't marry or love. People who do that are in the wrong in my opinion. |

tgags123: Your way of thinking makes sense, but I think the idea was to make it more difficult for the bad guys to get a hold of weapons and be discouraged from going through with an attack altogether. In a way, it contradicts itself and leaves the innocents defenseless, but the baddies can't get their weapons of mass destruction as easily, so it might just cancel itself out, or do more good than harm. On the other side, we could be worse off now than we were before. I don't think there is any way to measure whether or not it works or doesn't, so we will most likely never know. tgags123: Your way of thinking makes sense, but I think the idea was to make it more difficult for the bad guys to get a hold of weapons and be discouraged from going through with an attack altogether. I think sex can cause an addiction, but being unable to break such an addiction is most likely due to not having the willpower or determination. I feel the same way towards most addictions (drugs, food, laziness, etc.), and most of the time the addiction is caused by not having the willpower to resist it in the first place. People start doing drugs because they couldn't resist starting to do them in the first place, or doing them the second time, third time, and so on. So yes, I believe sex addictions do exist, but the people with them are normally weak (no offense to you if you have a drug/sex addiction, but you should really evaluate your life). |

Wow, that was pretty amazing. I think that I learned a lot from that video. I really think that hits spot on to how I try to think. I personally am an agnostic because saying that I am an atheist would mean that I am unwilling to accept the idea that god exists if presented with evidence. I wish that instead of flat out saying, "God doesn't exist, now that my thoughts have been presented, I refuse to hear anything otherwise." If everyone looked at things in a more logical way, the world would be a much nicer place. |

I love a good burger. Not like the crappy McDonald's burgers, though. Most of the time I like to go to a McMenamins or some other kind of burger joint. |

When I get hold of candy, usually the pack is gone within the hour. I don't really have a self control problem, it's just that I don't have any reason not to pig-out. I don't really gain weight or get sick easily. The only real reason for me not to eat 5 packs of candy is for me to not spoil my dinner. I guess I just don't really have that much unhealthy food when I think about it. I have a soda around once a week, and I only really get my hands on candy once every two weeks. Maybe that's why I don't feel sick or anything. |

Steins;Gate is my favorite anime of all time (it's an adaption of a visual novel of the same name, and occurs sometime after Chaos;Head and some-odd number of years before Robotics;Notes). Steins;Gate is about time travel, not like Doctor Who where there is time travel in it, but it looks at the idea of time travel pretty closely and does a damn good job. I love both Fate Stay Night and Fate Zero (more visual novel-based anime!) and think they do a pretty good job, although I think Stay Night may have had a little bit of fanservice, but not too much. I like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood blah blah blah so does every other person who has ever watched anime. Code Geass was enjoyable for me, despite the hot mess that it became near the end. Death Note was great most of the way through but I despise the ending. Spoiler: I recently finished an anime called Another about death and stuff, although it's only like 12 episodes or something. I really think the show should have just ended when L died. Note: I didn't underline Chaos;Head because it's god awful. Don't watch it, as it has no real affect on Steins;Gate or Robotics;Notes besides a few stupid references. I mean it, don't watch it.
