Izziah : As I'm very unfamiliar with "The Federalist Papers", I'm unsure if I really get the essence of what you want to say. Why should small arms used for protection against other humans ever be good? Or have I misunderstood something? Why should small arms used for protection against other humans ever be good? Will prizes for the teams be handed out every day? Or will prizes be handed out in the end of the month as for who have the most posts during the month? |

How often do you change your layout? And how often do you have to repeat your answers in this thread/how unoriginal is people in asking stuff?(this question can't be original, lol) And how often do you have to repeat your answers in this thread/how unoriginal is people in asking stuff?(this question can't be original, lol) |

I also try to find topics that can result in somewhat discussion, but I also love some threads in the crazy house forum that is totally pointless. But also noticed that the average post is often on a pretty easygoing level, so you get happy when you find a funny topic. ^^, |

Izziah : Yes, the more we pollute the air, the worse the world we leave to our children and the future. We might not be able to see the polar bears in the future as the glaciers is disappearing and thus the place for the polar bears to live and hunt disappears. As for now the Russians are out for the oil fields up in arctic sea, it will probably make the glaciers melt even faster. thenumberone : well, I never said that we should give up on the growth industry completely as it would be impossible with the quantities of meat that we eat today. But if just some more of the population would start eat more near produced food, both animal and vegetable products, it would still make a huge difference. And if everyone started to have one or maybe even two veggie meals every week, the meat consumption would decrease a lot. And I still put emphasis on near produced products that will make the transport distance shorter. This is how it is pretty much in Sweden. Well, you have hunting areas where you keep track of the lets say elk population, and regulate how much you hunt based on that. And you only hunt a few of the old bigger bucks, and mostly concentrate on the first years(note that I don't mean the baby fawns). This way you will be able to control the growth pretty good. As for the hunt you have to own the area that you hunt on, or be in a hunting team with the one who owns the ground. Then every team need a permission from a county administrative board to hunt. You also have seasons for when you are allowed to hunt different animals, so you can't hunt anytime you want. This way the owners of the hunting grounds will try keep an eye out for those who hunt illegally on the grounds(though it is impossible to catch everyone) and they also keep track on how much they can hunt each year. thenumberone : well, I never said that we should give up on the growth industry completely as it would be impossible with the quantities of meat that we eat today. The Ctrl+0 didn't solve anything in either of the games, all 3 from different systems. And I start playing with the options AFTER my problems started, so that have nothing to do with it. And I will probably have the same problem with other systems as well, is it so The strange thing is that it is normal when I start Firefox, but when I pause the game and look into another program, then for some reason this zoom problem appear. Is it some setting in the browser that does it? It worked with chrome, but I don't like that browser. =P And I start playing with the options AFTER my problems started, so that have nothing to do with it. Jordanv78 : Didn't work at all for the Lufia II game. Also tried to go into the settings with Esc, but ended up every time with some part of the game screen missing. Oh I could have it in Full screen or in 512xwhatever the number was, but that small window didn't help me at all and I'm not that fond of full screen. I also tried to change the settings, but then the whole game was clogged up and nothing happened. The funny thing is that the game worked fine at first, but then I had to pause and open an important PDF-file, after that it was all messed up. Also after trying to close the window down and reopen it. Do I have to restart Firefox/the computer every time I have to do something else than playing the game? Haha, I give in on the fact that it is never good to slice people up.. ![]() Well, I agree on that we kill the natural predators and hence destroy the natural Eco system, so we have to balance what we've screwed up. And I can also agree that hunting just for sports and shooting down the biggest horn is just wrong. But with a regulated hunt with quotas for how many does, bucks and fawns in specific areas, there will be no "over hunting". That way you can balance out how much deer/any other animal are needed. Don't you know that every drop counts? ![]() So another thing I would want my government to work for is more vegetarian food for everyone so we can live longer on this planet. Izziah, no not an "vegetable government", but a government that have no greed, and I think the research of the human brain will be on their way. So one day we might be able to make a surgery that remove unwanted personal traits as for example too much greed in the people in charge. But then we also need someone who wants to undergo this surgery. lol BUT also, if we made the thought of having power means something bad, maybe the right kind of people will take those parts? About hunting: Hunters are well needed indeed as there is a lot of animals in the forests, and if they grow into to big numbers they will first of all be starving as the natural food supply will vanish. That will probably lead to the animals seeking into areas inhabited with humans and destroy gardens, cause a lot of traffic accidents etc. So hunters are needed to keep a balance between animals and humans(Sad but true) Another good thing with hunting and then taking care of the meat is that it leads to near produced food. That meat won't have the transport distance as the meat that you buy in the store and might come from the other side of the country. So even if you soil the ground with gunpowder and such, I still think it will compensate for the long transport distance. And with this I argument I have the assumption that the meat will go to those who hunt it down and maybe some friend of those. I have some more arguments, but then I'll write forever about something irrelevant for the topic. ![]() But with a hunting license for guns used in hunt, you won't need those handguns and such, and if we get rid of some of those I think we've come pretty far to become a at least not so lethal community. Or something. BUT also, if we made the thought of having power means something bad, maybe the right kind of people will take those parts? Izziah, In Sweden it is more like you own a gun and a license if you go out hunting deer, elk etc, alas you don't own weapons for self defense, but as a tool to hunt animals. And you don't have the right to carry a gun if you aren't in the police or on your way out to the forest to hunt. The gun dramas have been pretty low in Sweden, but if everyone had the right to have a gun in self defense I bet the brawls in many different areas would have more lethal outcomes. I might have some bias(?) about how the American system work, but who doesn't? ![]() As for the military, it is almost non-existent in Sweden as we haven't started(or been in) a war since 1814. We've sent troops through the UN for peace-supporting missions since 1954. But that's it. So I think to reduce the guns out in the community is only a good thing in the long run. (A side note) So I believe in a government without guns, but then the government must have a lot of support and sane individuals in high positions, which is rare. Sane people is rare, and if they do exist they are often taken down by the greedy ones. Sad but true. Well, the (probably)easiest way to get an ideal government to work would be to perform lobotomy on all population of the world with one ruler, that way you would have a adaptable crowd of people(alas communism?). But there is no way that would work. LOL I say that you might be able to make a good government if you could take away all the greed in those who rule. So maybe a lobotomy on those who rule?? The "perfect" body in my opinion would be one with muscles that would be able to handle the everyday life of one with at least some exercise every week. By everyday life I mean that you'll be able to do those everyday heavy lifts, stair climbing etc. One of the best training activities in my opinion would be cross fit where you train the whole body with big variety and intensity.
