sillysoul : Right now I'm installing WildStar. I've played it before but stopped for some reason. It was great from what I remember. I guess I just got bored because no friends. I usually play a rogue class, too. Second choice is the same, mage class. Maybe I'll challenge myself and play a support class and become a healer? |

I'm still on the fence about it. The game was suggested to me (maybe by you!?) on another thread and I've made it to the 200th floor. The style is enjoyable but overall the game just isn't scary. The coffee mug cardboard cutouts are supposed to be a joke, sure, but it's the most common scare in the game. And when there's a new specimen, it's always the same. It starts out with potential, giving you some backstory to the specimen you're about to encounter, then a huge let-down when once again, without any skill or tactic, you just run away from it for a few rooms then maybe you'll see it again fifty rooms and a thousand coffee mugs later. I did find a room with some mini-games, though. The most memorable where you play as a ghost in Pac-Man. Still, not enough to make me want to wander through 800 more rooms... Hey guys! I go through MMOs like water. I love them, but I'm always looking for something that integrates socialization into the game more deeply than being forced into awkward parties to complete dungeons. I also ask because I'm curious if there is an MMO that is so popular with Vizzed that maybe we have a guild? Maybe that's a little bit wishful, really. Anyway, I'm really looking for an MMO that I can play with friends in. And if we help other Vizzed users find a new game, so much the better! Let me know what class you are in your respective MMO so maybe I can create a complementary character to grind beside you with?! Thanks! I had to think about this for a while, but I think I'm going to say Silent Hill 2. At the end of the day, it makes sense. It's the first and possibly only game I've ever played and beaten multiple times. I may have gotten close with other games, but then I just get distracted with another game. I can comfortably say that I've beaten Silent Hill 2 so many times that I've seen every ending at least twice. And I still come back for more just because the story is so phenomenal and heart-wrenching. The story gives you just enough information to make sense and leaves everything else to clarify the plot up to ambiance and scenery. Every time I play the game the story makes more sense and I discover something new I had never noticed before. Not only that, but I think it was the first video game to actually make me emotional. I would say cry, but it didn't go that far. But I did get weepy-eyed in the last level a few times. No matter how many times I played it. So, yeah. Silent Hill 2. sonicbros : I'm so excited for Resident Evil 7! It looks like it's going to be amazing! I love that it seems to be going back to it's survival horror roots and maybe a bit more... what's the word I want? Not surreal, but sort of understated and gritty in a way. It kind of reminds me of that amazing trailer for Silent Hills minus all of the supernatural stuff. The backwoods family at the end of the latest trailer is what really sold me. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTHS1G1Cod0) If you don't know the Silent Hills trailer I'm talking about, it's this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gY91vV0rWr4 The backwoods family at the end of the latest trailer is what really sold me. I work at a coffee shop in the city, so I drink so much coffee. The only problem is that I drink so much coffee, I don't really feel the effects of the caffeine anymore. It just makes me need to use the restroom every thirty minutes. When I'm at home, I usually just stick with water. I'm trying to get the sugary drinks out of my diet, like soda and those 10% juices. Ghostbear1111 : I'm with you, though. If I'm out at the bar, I'll drink beer through and through. No sense drinking those sugary drinks. They're dangerous... And I'm well beyond the point in my life where getting intoxicated is enjoyable! Hangovers are way too easy to get the older I become. Remember that, whippersnappers who are still in their early 20s or soon to be! Drinking became such a chore.... Sorry, I went on a tangent... Ghostbear1111 : I'm with you, though. I actually brought the box with me to school multiple times just to show it off to my friends and show them how amazing it was. Talk about Lovecraftian awesomeness! Hey there! If you're anything like me, you love being scared out of your pants and are always looking for the next scary game you can get your paws on. I can say with confidence that the Fatal Frame games were the first, and so far only, series to ever actually scare me. Granted, being scary isn't really a necessity. Like Silent Hill 2. At least for me, Silent Hill 2 wasn't exactly scary, but the atmosphere was perfectly dark and eerie and it was just easy to get lost in the depth of the story. That's what I want. Something that really just sucks you into the darkness of the world and makes you constantly fidget as you hesitantly turn each corner because you have absolutely know idea what could be around it. There are no holds barred from this request. If it was a game that made you squirm or jump or And if you aren't someone who's ever gotten into horror games, maybe this thread will help you out, too! I'm an actor/playwright... I couldn't really tell you why I chose that as my job. But I can tell you that I've become excellent at waiting tables because of it... No, but seriously, it's so much fun! I love writing plays and seeing them come to life through other people's interpretation of my words. It's one of the most rewarding things I could have ever imagined doing! Hi, my name is Benjie and I like long walks on the beach and video games. Maybe you and I could be great friends? But for real, I'm new to the forums, so I could always use new friends to chat with! Especially if it's about RPGs and Horror genre! I have a whole slew of horror games I could tell you about! A painfully underrated genre in the gaming community... Of course, family is usually defined as strictly your blood family, but I disagree with that. Family is anyone you feel safe with and can be your truest self. By that definition, your blood relatives might not be family to you and your best friend could be the closest family you have. The best part about language is that it evolves, and I think most people today are shying away from the conventional definition of family. I mean, the internet is a testament to that. How often have people said that their internet friends are family to them? Not to mention, if family is strictly viewed as blood relatives, that would mean your spouse is no more family than your next closest friend, and that's sad. m0ssb3rg935 : I don't know how coding works or any of that fun behind the scenes stuff, but is it possible that I stumbled on this site ages ago to find an emulator, created the account, and never put it to use? I assume something like that would show up, but if it's been years and I haven't been active, maybe it doesn't show up? Anyway, I suppose that's getting off topic and I feel like maybe I shouldn't be replying to every post with short little replies. Might come off as a Viz abuse, haha! I'm going to stop responding so much on this post and maybe go put the rest of the forum to use now! Well, either way, this is the first time I'm using this one! Thanks for the tips! A User of This: Thanks for the suggestion! I'm excited to get into everything! After I finish Origins, I kind of want to go into Dragon Age 2 again. Play the whole series up to this point one more time. Maybe after that I'll stick with BioWare some more and play through Mass Effect again? But I think I want a more traditional RPG after Dragon Age. Not sure what just yet, though! darthyoda: Thank you for the market link and help on directly notifying everyone! Sorry for the millions of edits on this post! Hey, Darthyoda! Now I'm mostly just interested in getting an awesome personalized thread like yours! Surprisingly enough, it was the forum that really got me interested in joining the site. Maybe I'm just getting old, but chatting in a forum seems so much more interesting than it used to... But there are so many games in the RGR, it's staggering! Should keep my interest for quite a while. Haha! Now I'm mostly just interested in getting an awesome personalized thread like yours! Hey everyone! So, I stumbled upon vizzed while looking up old games -- namely Sim Theme Park. I really just want to build roller coasters.... So, anyway, I found my way here and it seemed like a fun community to I decided to hitch. My name is Ben. I live in Philadelphia and spend all of my free-time playing video games. At the time of writing this, I'm going back through and playing Dragon Age Origins. Just to clarify, I'm joking when I say "all of my free-time," though the truth isn't too far off. I'm all about RPGs, adventure games, and horror games! So, anyway, maybe I'm cutting this way too short, but I feel like the introduction stuff is wickedly awkward! If there's anything you'd like to know, please ask! I'm all about chatting and making friends! Here's to fun chats and new friends!
