I haven't been on vizzed much for a while, but now I am having issues playing any games, even trying to use the Play my Games thing. None of it works. The screen pops up but it stays black and does nothing, no sound or visuals. Chrome is telling me to get flash, but it is only giving me flash for youtube, so I am not sure how to make it work on Chrome, but Firefox won't work either. I just wanted to play a game... yet nothing I do is working, help please.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I still get nervous making these. But I truly loved this game. There are a few points I wish were better, but even so this was one of my favorites and I was obsessed while I was working my way through.

Hey guys I'm back with another review. It's been awhile but this one is worth it! I got this game more out of wanting something new as I had gotten bored with what I had at the time, but wow what a gem I found. Without farther adieu, let's a go!

Graphics: 10
This area was really well done. I was a skeptical at first, but the landscapes were well rendered. All of the characters looked good and just the feel of your surroundings, whether you are in the subways and underground shops, or top side in Akihabara or the back alleys of the home town, this game really accentuates the feel of a normal life in modern Japan. Even the dungeons are well made. Without spoilers, each one fits the enemy boss perfectly. The cut scenes were gorgeous and I will never forget the opening scenes with your main character leaping out of a freaking window! That was NICE! So cocky Mr. Joker!
Sound: 10
Another really well done aspect is the sound. At first it took some getting used to, as it was not my normal area, but I soon found it catchy and actually ended up downloading it on my phone for on the go. The poppy jazz feel of the game suites the life of a phantom thief perfectly, whether you are in hiding, be it at home or behind your mask as you fight, or in the thick of a tough battle, the music draws you in, in ways that I found quite amazing. Several of the songs have lyrics that fit the scene as well, but the lyrics only start appearing around halfway through the game in some cases. Before that you hear the same sound, but only the backtrack. If you are replaying it though, you can still sing along.
Addictiveness: 9
While I got hooked immediately and it was all I could talk about for a while, I find the replay a little lack luster. Mostly when you play new game plus. They add a few new things, but when you can pull a level 40 or 80 out in the early game being you keep a lot of things from the prior run-through, it makes things too easy. I don't even have to use a skill, I can simply swing my sword and down most enemies despite my low level. That defeats the purpose. The only reason I still rate this high is because in terms of a basic full re run with a brand new character, there is always something different you can do. Different people to befriend and many different allies to gain.
Story: 10
Ok, so trying to say anything here without spoilers may be difficult so there are some minor points I will state that hopefully won't be a problem. I am warning you now.
So, the story revolves around you, the character, a male teen in high school, who gets charged with assault and is forced to move to a new town. The main character stays with a family friend while you are there for a year. It soon becomes apparent that odd things have been happening and that you are about to get thrown into the thick of it. You meet new friends that end up joining you in the quest against corrupt and dirty adults. You stop them in the only way possible, by going into their minds! Step into their world as they see things, find what started their odd obsessions, and steal it! That is the basic goal through out the game. I find the point fascinating to say the least.
Depth: 10
This is where things get big. The story was great, but in terms of overall details, wow. Let's see, you can go the Pokémon route and try to collect all the creatures and fill in the compendium (cough cough pokedex). You can try to find all the people that can aid you on your journey and befriend them to the max level. You can max out your stats and try to get a perfect score on your exams. Oh and just answer the questions asked in class. So many things to try and do. Heck you can even try and get all the endings, most of them bad just to see what they are. Now I realize that some of this is only possible if you do a new game plus, including a few secrets which I will not spoil. That being said there is some merit to playing a new game plus if you can resist the urge to call your perfect persona from the previous play through in dungeon one.
Difficulty: 10
The only reason I put it this way is while you can play the game on the easiest level possible, which is for beginners, you can actually download an extra hard mode. I will admit I can't even handle normal and I am relatively good at the element based match up stuff that this game accentuates. I love the style that allows for a one turn victory. Problem comes around during boss fights or red enemies. Red enemies are still relatively easy if you can beat them quickly, but let the fight drag on and you could be in major trouble especially when you try to beat the dungeon in one go, which is not recommended, though it is possible if you play your cards right. The boss fights can deal massive damage quickly and the issue with that, is when they target the Main Character, single him out for destruction. Now it may have just been the equipment I had, but to me he seems like a glass cannon, aka a high attacker, but can't take a hit. If he is targeted repeatedly he can't keep up and will fall. Problem is, it's an instant game over if he does, even if the rest of the team is still standing. That is a nuisance to say the least, but if you work at things and learn the enemies weaknesses and avoid their strengths and repels you might still have a chance.
Overall: 9.8
Finally at the end, but the entire package as a whole, despite the couple of gripe points is well worth the buy. The games selling point for me came in the heavy use of psychology through out the game. I guess I should have expected that from the title, but I came into this franchise with no prior knowledge of persona and only a minimal knowledge from the main series it branched from Shin Megami Tensei. The entire games focuses on psychology, both cognitive and personality. It was amazing to see and read. I hope others will enjoy this game as well, whether for the in depth points of the world it brings up or even just as a relaxing, let's punch something game. The focus on stealth and sneaking was made fairly easy with an easy always hidden way to ambush enemies. So even for someone like me that has no patience and is terrible at stealth missions in any other game, this was super easy in that regard. Thanks Atlus for giving us this amazing game! Good luck to all who go for this game as well and as always thanks for reading! See you next time!

Poolside with a bed...

Would you rather.... Be a phantom thief and not get caught or be an assassin and not get caught?

Davideo7 : I figured it out now thanks. I just erased my cookies and it stopped but I am not the only one who has had that problem. It was from any way to send a message, from the private message page and from the individuals page as well. It kept changing who I was sending it to. Thanks anyway.

Yuna1000 : *High Fives Back* Yeah!

Seriously that was great! I can't wait for more!  I hope more people start coming. It would be odd if one or two people are deciding everything when this is a group style story. I mean writers are used to solo work but if you are going to collab with others then it has to be done right. Right?! LOL.

Eirinn :

Such a difficult choice!!! Ok let's see... we know what happens if you separate from here so A is not an option. Honestly as strong willed as she is B is probably a bad choice if you are only trying to protect her. C seems possible but it puts her in danger... then again so does B... Gah why must you make this so difficult...

Ok... I am going to go with C. At least with her somewhat free to work she can protect your back too and not just you "playing the hero".  This way both of you can get something and you have a better chance at survival. Question is does Sidhe have any fighting skill in this form. If not then you have to protect him as well.

First a quick thing I noticed though I am not sure what you will do with this info but when the character stabbed the beast's paw that would have probably been difficult to get the blade out from that angle without trapping you beneath it again as you would have had to pull downward to get it out and it would bring the creature down on top of you. If you wanted to keep that you could say that the cowardly trader left his sword behind maybe and he used that. Just a thought you don't have to do anything with it.

As for what to do next this one is tough... I say A. It may be dangerous but the way the character feels at the moment makes me think he is thinking his is guilty for leaving her. I would definitely want to help her if that was the case if only to clear the Cognitive Dissonance away. Of course I would also just genuinely want to help her as she is my friend and by the sound of it a possible love interest as well whether or not you follow that route.

Ok first... OMG Eirinn!!!! This is amazing!!! Why have I not checked this out before now?!

Ok I'm done gushing now to business. I choose A. I'm tired of trying to run and sneak around. Plus we can't leave the innocent traders get hurt! That would just be wrong!

Also I like the names in this. I may snatch a couple for my stories if you don't mind. Finding names is ridiculously difficult at times.

I figured out how to get it to work in Yahoo mail. You apply a filter to the sender. It will then put it in whatever folder you choose.

Yes I did this btw so vizzed is ok in my emails too!

I apologize if this has already been asked and I missed it but what is needed to be done if you use Yahoo because I have looked everywhere to find any of the options mentioned. It went to my main inbox anyway but I am not sure what to do about it now...

I wasn't sure where to post this as I could not find the help thread for some reason... But every time I try to PM someone this includes the all admin and mods PM it tries to send it to an inactive user account by the name of John. It thankfully allows me to change the sender but I have no clue how to fix this! Please help. Thanks.

Hmm I am alternating between two games so I will put them both.

Pokémon Heartgold: I finally located it again after having lost in the disaster called a dorm room... Anyway I just got to Olivine city and was headed for the Lighthouse for training and story point relevance.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse: I actually got this game via vizzed so I am having a lot of fun with it. I finally beat normal mode and am doing the Pirate mode now. I just got into the Dungeon on Spiderweb Island.

I'm way older than that! I just happen to be a shape shifter and so I look young. That's not a crime!
This is the police and you are arrested for not cleaning your room!

Can one of you explain a bit more on the Dutch Blitz or PM me on that? That sounds cool but I am not sure I understand the premise really. Thanks.

Another review here so let's get moving!

Graphics: 10

Ok this I will admit was done well. The graphics are the best part in my opinion. I love Pokémon and I love seeing it like this, 3D and beautiful. It is better in this regard than even the main titles. The sprites are amazing and the real looking pokeballs and a nice touch.

Sound: 8

This is a weaker spot but not overly bad. The sounds are similar to the main series but I find them a bit lacking. Mostly I end up turning it off as it ends up overly repetitive anyway so I don't have a lot to say here.

Addictiveness: 6

I like that I can catch the many amazing creatures set up around me but there is a limit to how much you can do. If you are limited to where you can go then catching anything of worth is difficult. In my case there is not a poke stop anywhere near my house. I have to go by my school to get anything really and even then there is not much variety. I lose interest fast after catching only a few Pokémon if that.

Story: /

There is no story but it didn't feel right to completely skip the category...

Depth: 3

At the moment this is the part that I find very lacking. There is so little to do. No real battles aside from the gyms and again with nothing near me makes that impossible. Even the catching of the Pokémon is lacking as there is no real wild battles. It is just a quick toss of the pokeball and the Pokémon usually stays in...or it kicks me out of the app one...

Difficulty: 3

Way too easy. I guess it is a good way to get new people into Pokémon as I have seen many people who could care less about Pokémon playing the game but to a seasoned Pokémon fan it is boring with little to offer. A simple toss of the pokeball is not enough for me.

Overall: 6

I love Pokémon. It is one of the franchises that I can honestly say has captured me and I will love hopefully for years to come but this entry is not one of their best. I acknowledge the fact that this is their first try at this and that they plan to add more so this review may change in the future but until then I can't say much good about this game.

I have played many. UNO, Skipbo, a couple different ones like Solitaire and Freecell, and trading card games like Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Cardfight Vanguard.

I like a lot of them so it is hard to choose. Personally I really like Cardfight Vanguard but it is not one that many have heard of. It is based off of an anime by the same name and has a huge luck element as well as strategy.

@Eirinn: You actually didn't make a mistake with that name. It is correct and I like that one too but only in the video game form and not with physical cards.
