Quesions three and four are yes/no kind of questions, so you wouldn't get much from them.
Question ones answer seems like it would be obvious although it could be misleading.
So I would go with question 2 as it would give insight into the murderer's mind.

If there is still an open slot, I would be interested in joining. If not I will still read the murder mystery with amusement as I try to figure it out myself for my own enjoyment.

I worked as a storyline advisor to my friend’s fangame, “Final Fantasy: Legacy of the Light Warriors”. I have no idea what website he put it on, but it was made with RPG Maker 2000. I also worked as an advisor on another fangame called “Zero War: Chapter 1 – Origin of Domino” which was a fan Mega Man game based of a Mega Man Webcomic of which I was one of the three creators. The final fangame I worked on was “Fire Emblem: Procer Cado Regnum” (Really hope I spelled that right...), which as you can probably tell is a Fire Emblem Fan Game, my only involvement with that one was developing the basic storyline progression, characters, and character relationships. The final two were both uploaded to a now defunct website that was run by a friend of mine. If you are interested in any more information of them I have all the data I worked on available from the each of the three series and I have no idea if they are still online or what website they would be on, as I don't generally like to think of old work once it is finished.

As for the one professional game I am currently working on, I’m not allowed to talk about it much due to the fact that the game is in preproduction. I can tell you that I was hired earlier this year to be both the writer and head of the creative team for a small video game & graphic design company’s first major console RPG. As such I’ve been asked to sign a confidentiality agreement forbidding me from disclosing any pertinent information about the project as well as from revealing the name of the project until such time as the game has a set release date.

As for information on Gameworld, the webcomic can be located here: http://gameworld.smackjeeves.com/. Even though the webcomic started in 2006, it was developed at one page a month until the artist had to retire due to personal troubles, as such more of the storyline can be gained from the Fanfiction itself rather than the doujin. Due to the fact that the majority of the fanfiction series was posted on my friends now defunct site along with my older webcomic, Zero War, the two video games, Zero War & Procer Cado Regnum, and my other series of fanfiction “Rando’s What If?”. However I have begun to post the entirety of the fiction of Gameworld to the Webcomic site in the interim between the retiring of the old artist and the finding of a new one.

Also as I have all the data on various flash drives I can give any information to any interested party in working on the game. However as all the original characters have yet to be designed an artist would be needed to design art of the characters based on their descriptions from the fiction, as well as those Final Fantasy characters from the series who have alternate costumes mentioned in the fiction. Of the original characters, about half have had character art either in “first looks” or in the doujin itself.

Sorry for the long post...

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but, if not I’m sure somebody will move it to the correct board.

I'm planning on turning my long running fanfiction/ongoing web doujin “Gameworld - Saga 1: Final Fantasy Eternity”, as well as it's gaiden chapters, into a strategy RPG similar to Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, or Tactics Ogre... the problem is, despite being a writer that has actually worked on video games (3 Fan Games & 1 Console Game coming out somewhere between Q4 2011 - Q2 2012) I have no experience in game design as I almost always either write the storyline or head the creative design team (artwork & whatnot not the programming aspect).

I have the entire storyline finished as I wrote the last chapter of Gameworld Saga 1 in February of 2008 and have been working on Saga 2 since then. The last half of Gameworld was never uploaded on the internet as to not give away the storyline of the doujin which started in 2006. The series of Gameworld combines both original characters and Final Fantasy characters, however due to this being an AU not all Final Fantasy characters are exactly the same as they were in their game of origin, (For Example: Sephiroth is a heroic character instead of a villain due to different events occurring in the past from what was in the game). The combined world this series exists in contains characters from final fantasy 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 12 RW.

The first saga features 9 outsiders, at first all but two of them are completely neutral, choosing to explore the world rather than harm/aid it. Those two are the first arrival, Ganma, who decides to control the world for an unknown reason of his own going so far as to even claim that he is from the games world, and the other is Rando, the third to last to arrive, after arriving in the game he learns of the state of the world and becomes determined to stop Ganma. Travelling the world he encounters and joins with various Final Fantasy characters, the other seven outsiders, and several new original characters from the Final Fantasy world, building an army to defeat Ganma’s ever growing army.

I view the game as something more similar to a mix of Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, using the Fire Emblem “Equip Type” minus the triangles and Class system, and the Final Fantasy ability system. The game would also have a feel similar to Final Fantasy 9 because the Gaiden Chapters would leave the main party and follow the other outsiders for a bit. Over the next few weeks I’m going to be deciding a recruit able character list by reading through and choosing which characters will be capable of joining the team, which will be temporary in battle allies, and which will just be NPC’s. I’m looking for anybody willing to aid me in this. I thank you for listening, and if you choose to help, thank you in advance.

Digimon has been around longer worldwide (Yes pokemon was released in 96 IN JAPAN, but not released globally until 98, Digimon was released in 97 WORLDWIDE), is targeted to a larger audience, has more monsters, is darker in tone, and most importantly has goggles... Digimon is better.

No, I'm asking if others have noticed any other odd connections between the Final Fantasy games similar to the one with the girls names. I wan't to know the not so obvious trivia, the stuff a person wouldn't notice right of the bat.

Yes, I know... I was wondering if anybody else noticed any other connections between the games that are as odd or interesting as the names of the female characters.

I am called Serian online... sometimes I go by Rando Serian, Rando, RSC, or a longer name that they are all short for, but for this site I chose to go with Serian. The longer name that they are all short for is actually a phrase coming from several languages that when translated to english means, "For the worlds brighter future". I am an avid gamer, music listener, and a fan of old films.

I was looking at the FF games and noticed some weird connections, the most obvious of that was the connection between the names of the main girls.

FF 1: There is no main girl... the characters are technically genderless. Although the most important female character would probably be the Princess Sarah.
FF 2: Maria
FF 3: (Remake only) Refia
FF 4: Rydia & Rosa
FF 5: Lenna/Reina & Sarisa/Salsa (Faris)
FF 6: Terra
FF 7: Tifa
FF 8: Rinoa
FF 9: Sarah (Garnet/Dagger)
FF 10: Yuna
FF 11: No main characters
FF 12: Ashelia
FF 13: Lightning (Real Name Unknown... but probably ends with an a or a sound)

Has anybody else noticed any odd connections between the games?

There are two that I consider the best with another two tying for second place. The two in first place would be Final Fantasy 6 & 9, with 4 & 7 taking second place, in third place would be 1, the rest all are below that. I would say play six first as it has one of the best storylines and one of the most challenging final bosses.

I would say play Final Fantasy Tactics, either the original or the remake, or Final Fantasy 6 or 9... but under any circumstance, DO NOT PLAY TACTICS ADVANCED, that game sucks.

My team would be in the five-man team of FFIV and would consist of the following characters...

From Final Fantasy 6: Terra, the reason: Due to the Esper System, not only is she capable of Summoning Espers but she is technically a summon herself.

From Final Fantasy 7: Yuffie, the reason: High speed, back row, decent attack, with the right materia she can be a powerhouse.

From Final Fantasy 9: Beatrix, the reason: Paladin with both good white magic and attacks.

From Final Fantasy 4: Golbez, the reason: High power, black magic, great defense.

From Final Fantasy 12: Balthier, the reason: Do you need any reason for the leading man to be on your team?

I believe that Final Fantasy games are going to continue on a path, more towards that of 11 & 14, with a few that are still single player being released for portable systems. That being said, I hope that they make more Tactics games that are more like the original FF:Tactics and its remake, rather than FFTA & FFTGA2. I also think that more Action/Fighting games similar to Dissidia will probably be released by Square-Enix. They'll also probably continue making more Chocobo & Crystal Chronicles games.

They will probably also go back and create more continuations to their older games like they did with 4, 7, 10, & 12, as well as making more games in the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7. I wouldn't doubt seeing either a prequel or Sequel to 6, a Companion/Sequel/Prequel game to 8, or a prequel to 5 in the future. Although I doubt them making any kind of game to go along with Final Fantasy 1 or 9 as they are both contained storylines, although I personally would want a game to go along with 9. I also doubt games to go along with 2 or 3, mostly because 2 had a continuation included in one of its remakes, and 3 doesn't have the right kind of storyline for a continuation.

As for when they'll stop using the Final Fantasy label... probably when Capcom stops making Mega Man or Nintendo stops making Mario games... in other words, probably never.

The most annoying personality for a Final Fantasy Villain would, in my opinion, go to Seymour. His self-serving, pompous, arrogant personality would drive anyone to want to kill him. Add to that his irritating voice, twisted world view, and obsession with Yuna and you have a truly annoying character.

However the most irritating battle goes to Kefka. I believe him to be the first of Square's Uber-Villains, a group of Final Bosses who are designed to frustrate you to no end and completely piss you off. However he is also one of the greatest villains in Final Fantasy history... he didn't just try to destroy the world, in a way he actually succeeded and become a god-like figure in the process.
