But I was saying that I couldn't even manually enable the plug-in because it doesn't appear in the chrome://plugins/ list for some reason.

I reinstalled twice already and for some reason the plugin is literally not found in the plugins page even though I installed the files and I can find them in my Windows Explorer.

Does Chrome usually have these problems with RGR Plugin 2.0? I don't feel like installing Firefox or another browser though...

Didn't play like, any games this year since I'm not very up to date with the current-gen systems. I literally only played like, Guacamelee! so... prepare yourselves for what is to come.

Modern:
-Best Game of 2013: Guacamelee! Gold Edition
-Best PC Game of 2013: Guacamelee! Gold Edition
-Best Visuals in a Game of 2013: Guacamelee! Gold Edition
-Best Adventure: Guacamelee! Gold Edition

Seriously though, it really is a fantastic homage to Metroid and "Metroidvania" Castlevania games. The visuals and aesthetics (The music is simply
amazing) are incredibly bold and stylish like no other game I've played and it's just a wonderful throwback with a robust combat system and interesting takes on the "subgenre".

*impromptu
Guacamelee! review ends here*

Retro Game Room:
Top of the Group
-Best Game in the RGR - Final Fantasy VI
-Best Console Game in the RGR - Final Fantasy VI
-Best Handheld Game in the RGR - Pokemon Silver
-Best 3rd Gen Game (NES, Master System, Atari 7800) - Castlevania
-Best 4th Gen Game (Genesis, SNES, TurboGrafx, Neo Geo, Game Boy, Game Gear) - Final Fantasy VI
-Best 5th Gen Game (N64, PSX, Gameboy Color, Neo Geo Pocket) - Final Fantasy Tactics (though I played the
War of the Lions version on PSP, same difference... actually, play that one because it's better)
-Best Game Boy Advance - Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

Genre
-Best Platformer - Super Mario Bros 3
-Best RPG - Final Fantasy VI
-Best Puzzle - Panel de Pon
-Best Action - Super Metroid
-Best Shooter - Gradius III
-Best Co-Op/Multiplayer/Netplay Game - Super Smash Bros.

The way I see it, you're not even really in the friend zone until you do have that talk with her and she gives you the concrete "I just to be friends, period." sort of talk.

If she doesn't know how you feel, and she doesn't even have the slightest idea that you have feelings about her, then I suggest actually holding back and not making any more advances towards a relationship.

That doesn't mean stop being friends with her. Keep being a friend and a companion in her life. Be there for her no matter what happens. Keep hanging out with her and stuff. Maybe even flirt around with her a bit, especially if you've already been doing that. Just don't make any
big moves that would tip off your feelings for her.

If you start advancing even more towards her while she has feelings for someone else, most likely she'll think you're intruding or being a pest, obstructing what
she wants. Wanting to be with her regardless of where her feelings lie is a very normal thing, but no matter what if she really likes this person she won't let anyone get in her way. So, if that happens, your friendship would potentially just stop happening. If she only sees you as a friend, then you'll still be on good terms with her and just continue to develop that friendship (perhaps to the point where she'll start to change her mind and develop feelings for you too!).

Just be patient. If she just keeps going with the person she likes, and she has a relationship with this person, then it's time to just let her go. You should be happy for her if she's happy with her lover.

I've finished many Zelda games and many Final Fantasy games and really I don't see how you can compare them.
I will say that Legend of Zelda games tend to be more consistent, for better or worse. They're sometimes too repetitive in terms of calling back old bosses or puzzles. Final Fantasy on the other hand is less consistent, but consistency is sacrificed for innovation and variety. There're a lot more different kinds of plot in Final Fantasy since each game is exclusive from the others. On the other hand, Zelda has a nice rich history and it sort of has a timeless quality about it.

You really can't ask someone which is better because there's just too much different about them and there are really just certain Zelda games that are incredibly great or bad and the same goes with Final Fantasy. There's not a lot of objectivity in this.

Since you don't see each other in person anymore, it's probably really hard to develop any sort of friendship. If you already graduated from high school, is there any sort of way you two would see each other in person besides school? Any place you two frequently visit?

There's no way you can really cultivate a friendship without having some time together first. She was really nice because she probably wanted to just have a friendly conversation. The kinds of things that she said would be normal in any conversation with a person who'd just graduated high school.

You can't really expect her to feel comfortable texting or calling you since you haven't really established a friendship yet. If someone gave you their phone number and told you that you could call them, yet you haven't really hung out or had some time together at all aside from a yearbook signing and some talks, wouldn't you be a bit uncomfortable too?

Sorry if I seem very blunt. That's just the way I see it anyway.

That's too hard to answer in terms of just one movie, and that could change so much in my case, but I have a pretty solid top ten as of now.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is more of a nostalgia movie, but it's still really good in its own rite and it really is the best in the series.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my favorite romantic sort of movies, and I make it a tradition of sorts to watch it around Valentine's Day every year because it's set around that time.

Blade Runner is probably my favorite sci-fi as of now. Really fascinating, thought-provoking, sometimes disturbing dystopia.

Porco Rosso is one of my two favorite Miyazaki films, and I love because of how subtle and effortlessly-told the story is, and the lighthearted mood of the film.

There Will Be Blood is a really interesting dark film about the oil boom of the early 20th century based on an Upton Sinclair novel and it's incredibly well-written and shot.

Princess Mononoke is my favorite Miyazaki film as of now and it has a great balance between entertainment and pressing issues about environmentalism and all that. I love the complexity of the characters in the film and how there isn't any black or white in terms of good and evil.

Pulp Fiction is just hilariously funny and the dialogue is incredible. Even with gratuitous language and violence, it's just so well-crafted in terms of plot and the conversational dialogue is somewhat captivating that it's very grounded in reality and very entertaining.

Grave of the Fireflies is one of the most heartbreaking movies I've ever watched, and it's probably the only film that's really made me sob at certain points. Its really realistic portrayal of World War II Japan seems to contradict the fact that it's an animated film.

Pierrot le fou is so tongue-in-cheek and witty that despite it being somewhat transparently satirical, it's still incredibly enjoyable and French New Wave has always been fascinating to me because of the revolutionary cinematic techniques and the avant-garde.

Chungking Express is a incredibly charming film about romantic longing and has a great aesthetic as well as genuine, effective performances from the actors. The writing is spectacular and is very intimate and resonant.

Can't pick one, so I picked ten xD.

warmaker : Haha, it's okay. I guess there aren't many college freshman? xD

Thanks for the advice! I've actually been trying to read a lot more often especially since I'm studying primarily English in college.

I recently graduated from high school and I'm just sort of waiting for college to happen haha. I'm really excited but it's all very daunting too.

Are there any upcoming freshman in college here on Vizzed? How are you guys holding up? Excited? Nervous? Stressed?

Where are you guys headed for college? And what are you guys studying?

Aside from just being incest in general, it's pretty much very supported that in-breeding leads to a lot of defects and diseases in offspring. That's why some of those long dynastic families back in the earlier centuries like the Romanovs in Russia had lots of medical problems like hemophilia. So I guess the reason why there are laws preventing these kinds of things besides the whole "incest is wrong" thing is just that they want to prevent in-breeding for medical reasons.

From what you mentioned you seem to be in pretty good shape in terms of how she seems to feel about you. Above all, just be yourself. Don't try too hard to impress her since you two seem to get along well enough anyway and changing anything about you would only end up being a bit jarring for her. Act naturally and just talk to her. Since you two share lots of interests, I'm sure you'll have a lot to talk about

P.S.: Just to let you know, I do think the "Extra" part is a tad bit cheesy. Just my two cents

Good luck!

Nah I don't think it's too violent. The violence is intended to make a point, just like Battle Royale was and pretty much anything similar. It's supposed to be social commentary so it gives some meaning to the violence. And honestly the movie itself isn't that violent.

Now the shaky-cam on the other hand, is just all over the place and gives me a headache every five seconds.

It's always full. Not half full or half empty, full. It's full of water and air .

But seriously though, I think it's more like half full for me even though I can be kind of downcast a lot of times. Overall in spite of all the crap that happens, I'd like to still look for the best in things.

Being someone who watched a lot of like... film noir and older movies where they'd make smoking seem so glamorous and coooooooooool... yeah I'd actually say that it looks sexy haha. I don't know what it is, it's such a silly thing when you think about it, but I would never smoke at all yet I'd still think whenever I see like, a really attractive person exhale and all that, it's all part of what makes them look attractive some how.

Of course then they'll smoke for another couple years and they'll look like absolute crap but... whatever.

Oh yeah, I should probably introduce myself a little more for anyone who didn't really know me from a while ago haha xD.

I'm mdynasty926. I've been on this site for about 4 years now, but I haven't always been actively posting because of stress and stuff like that. I like to give longer responses to things so it sort of actually takes a little while for me to come up with things when replying to threads and whatnot haha, so I guess that'd be why I haven't been doing forum stuff lately.

Obviously I joined because of the games, but I do remember having a great time socializing in the forums and such so I'm going make a habit of posting more often. I hope anyone who remembers me has a good impression of me before I left... I don't remember how I was back then haha

So... uh... hi guys... ; It's been a while.

There's a really fine line between eroticism and pornography and I see this being argued all the time on deviantART or other art websites where they'll have like artistic nudes or whatever. It's a bit hard to explain, but for me it's clear that porn wouldn't be an art form (at least for the most part, I mean I don't know how artsy they can get with their porn or whatever O.o) because pornography is blatant and very explicit. Of course porn has eroticism involved in it, but it's not done in an artful way. It's made to please the viewer sexually. Erotic art can please the viewer sexually too, but it's done in a much more subtle way; it strives to highlight the idea of sex or sexual activity in a more sophisticated or aesthetically pleasing way rather than a sexually pleasing way. It's supposed to highlight the beauty of a female body or of a male body.

I saw scenes of Spirited Away as a kid and it sort of scared me haha.

When I got older though, I decided to watch it again because a lot of people really like it, and then I started watching a lot of anime movies, mostly Studio Ghibli movies.

Eventually I started to watch other kinds of anime movies and then anime TV shows like Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I'm not as big of a fan of longer animes or TV shows in general so most of the animes I've watched are only one season of around 20 episodes long.

I recommend watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and Steins;Gate for sci-fi, and I guess Cowboy Bebop would fit under sci-fi too, though that's a whole bunch of things.
Samurai Champloo, Baccano! are also pretty action-oriented shows. Baccano!'s a little on the gory side but I'm sure with the stuff you watched it'll be fine.

Kids on the Slope and Nodame Cantabile are more drama-y shows, and both involve music (jazz and classical music) so if you're into that sort of thing these are some great shows.

Out of all of these my favorite's probably Cowboy Bebop, but all of them really awesome and you should really check them all out xD.

As much as I love Final Fantasy, right now your best bet would be to shoot for The Old Republic solely because the story is pretty solid and it's not in this weird volatile state that Final Fantasy XIV is in where its first incarnation sort of sucked from what I've heard from everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I think A Realm Reborn has amazing potential now that they really put a lot of love into the production of the game unlike the last people who worked on the beta. The only reason I don't like TOR is because of its restrictions on F2P players, but since you're talking about subscriptions, TOR seems like the better bet as of now. I'd suggest you wait and see how XIV does on release though.
