I like to open up youtube too-- I don't really like the remixed pokemon songs or the pokemnon music during game play (except for the Red and Blue for nostalgic purposes) for that matter. Depending on the puzzle, maze, or town, different music fits. I personally like "Truckin" by Grateful Dead when I'm in grassy open areas or riding my bike places, but I like bands like Tool when I'm in caves or something. |

I know of another super awesome pokemon hack that is out and is complete (or at least says so, honestly I've only played up to the 3rd badge but I haven't seen anyone complain that it is incomplete). It is called Pokemon Fire Red: Generations. I think this is the link for it: http://www.mediafire.com/?298g8uy85gqf50a
I think everyone would really love love love this hack and it might even be good for competitions since you can obtain all pokemon. I think everyone would really love love love this hack and it might even be good for competitions since you can obtain all pokemon. |

There is a new pokemon hack out. It is by the same person who made "Pokemon Victory Fire" (I'm pretty sure). It's called "Pokemon Resolute". There is a youtube clip for it and I know there is a sendspace link, but I just thought I'd bring it up. It only has an alpha version out right now, but the creator says that it features 5 gyms. |

I went into this game expecting it to be mediocre. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a new favorite game! Even with some missing dialogue, this game is excellent. I appreciate the work that went into translating this game. Most of the translated games I have played have been missing a lot of information, or they have terrible grammar. I was happy to see that most of this game is translated, and what is left untranslated is not pertinent to game play. A player can play this game and understand the relationship between characters even with some missing translations. For gamers who enjoyed Summon Knight: Swordcraft Story series, or Tales of Phantasia, they will also enjoy this game. I gave up on the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia because of the battle controls, but this game's battle set-up is set up to be challenging, but not impossible for the player. Personally, I really enjoyed playing this game. The depth, story, and battle set-up all make this game extremely addicting. I could not stop playing! For those who are looking for an interesting, challenging, and addicting action RPG, this is the game to play!! |

Graphics: I only ran into one glitch with this game. At one point (after the 3rd badge when battling Jude) the game's screen panned to the right and would not let me continue. However, I restarted the game and did not run into the glitch and was able to complete the first beta version of this hack. Other that that glitch there weren't any tiling errors and all of the graphics fit well with the game and did not seem out of place. There was a clear night and day system, as well as random weather events. The graphics really remained true to their pokemon ruby essence. Sound: I mute the sound when playing pokemon because I fast-forward to often. Addictiveness: Just like any other pokemon game for me, this game was addicting! I could not step away. I loved that you could re-challenge trainers after every gym badge. I also loved that the wild pokemon were always at a high level so there wasn't as much of a need for level grinding. The variety of pokemon and the advanced difficulty of the hack really made it a joy to play. Story: This is really the best element of the game. The story is completely fresh. I really admire the creativity of the creator of this game. The player can still go through the normal badge routine that is a staple among pokemon, but the side-story is very interesting. The beginning of the game really is vastly different than any other pokemon game that I have played (which is a LOT) and really sucked me into playing. I also love that the star of the game is eevee. There is promise that in the next release of this game the player will be able to evolve eevee into any of the original 5 eeveelutions as well as espeon and umbreon. The events have been altered so that they are completely new; however still are reminiscent of the events from the base game for this hack, pokemon ruby. This means that there is completely new dialogue and characters, but the events have to do with weather (like the original ruby game). All in all, this game's story is the selling point and this game should be played if only to go through a fresh pokemon adventure that isn't based on a pokemon professor handing you a laboratory! Depth: This hack goes up to the 6th badge (which is about halfway through the game). There aren't many puzzles, so it is pretty straight forward from gym to gym. There is some back and forth in the game, but the towns are close together and most of the paths are short so it isn't a labor to go between places to get necessary items. There are a few events that add supplemental game play, it is definitely worth the time to play. Difficulty: The trainers have an increased difficulty. In addition to having their levels raised, they also use many more healing items. Trainers on the routes even use multiple potions, which can be frustrating! I liked that you were able to choose the order of the first 3 and last 2 gyms. I could battle whatever leader I had an initial advantage over and level up, then battle the more difficult leaders later. I really liked that you could rebattle trainers after each gym leader and their levels were significantly harder. Even though the game only has 6 badges, I had to take time to train to be able to earn them! Ultimately, this hack is a must play! Graphics: I only ran into one glitch with this game. So I know a lot of people like to listen to tunes when they play pokemon (mostly because of the jumbled mess the sound turns into when you fast forward the game). I have my own "pokemon playlist" but I thought it would be fun to see what other people like to listen to when they are playing pokemon. For example, my favorite songs to listen to when I play Pokemon Snakewood are "Nice Shot" by Filter or "My Name is Mud" by Primus. In general, my favorite songs to listen to when playing any pokemon game are the Houses of the Holy CD by Led Zeppelin and the CD S.C.I.E.N.C.E. by Incubus. So guys, how about a vizzed pokemon playlist? What do you guys like to listen to during an epic battle or level grinding? So guys, how about a vizzed pokemon playlist? I have tried configuring my controls through the menu today and for some reason it is not working. I had been playing pokemon stadium (both 1 and 2) and then wanted to change my configuration for a different game to play. Whenever I click on a button to change it does not let me input the keyboard key. Instead it says that the controller pad now corresponds with K_133 (Instead of K_up for example) and I can't change it. I need to change the arrow keys from the analog stick so that they correspond with the d-pad for pokemon stadium and it won't let me. I can click the button furiously and mash on the keyboard and get lucky that other buttons like A or B will change, but I cannot change the directions. The controls work inside the game, it's just that I want to change them and I can't. I'm sorry if this question has been posed before, I just couldn't find it and was hoping for some help. EDIT: I had to restart my computer a few times and open a fresh browser with only one tab and I was able to FINALLY change the controls. So, I guess someone can take this thread down or keep it up for someone who has the same problem because I was super annoyed for a little bit.. I've played both of the Ponymon hacks now, and I really enjoyed them both. They both ended just before the player enters what is traditionally known as Mt. Moon. The only difference between to two so far is that the starting ponies are different. This game is perfect for the girly pokemon fan. The hacker has taken the time to change all the pokemon into My Little Pony characters. The attacks have changed to fit the new "ponymon" and the town names have also been altered. The ponymon are very well drawn. Because this is a very early alpha version of this hack, only the starting pokemon have sprites, but in battle all of the ponymon have been altered so that both battle view and "ponydex" view are new. In this hack, the ponymon don't learn many moves when leveling up and do not evolve (because this is still an alpha version). There isn't much depth to this game, but the variety of ponymon you can catch early on is very wide and it really gives players a taste of how great the final version will be. The ponydex, elaborate move sets, and evolutionary chains are all missing, but are promised in final version and do not take too much from what is currently playable. This game is appealing to horse lovers, My Little Pony fans, and Pokemon fans all alike. It is a great game if you've ever wanted to play an obscenely cute version of pokemon and have a little free time. |

This is a very well made hack. Despite a few text errors, the game is excellent. Pokemon that require trading to evolve can all evolve in this game. There are more options for teams in this game as well. The hack is packed with pokemon in each route. The creator has changed many base stats of favorite pokemon (like Raichu) and given many pokemon sub-types (for example, Raichu is both an electric and fighting type). The gyms have had type changes and the leaders have all had their levels raised. The mapping and dialogue throughout the game is exactly the same, but it's the pokemon team combos and the option to have almost any pokemon from the first three generations that makes the game exceptional. By adding subtypes to pokemon like Golduck (who is now also Psychic type) moves that the pokemon naturally learn are powered up. The hack also has made evolving pokemon with stones a lot simpler. In the original game there were few elemental stones and no options to buy them, but this hack adds them in to a certain pokemon center. For anyone who likes the original pokemon games but wanted a more complete pokedex, this game is a must try. It is a true enhancement of the original Emerald game. |

Can anyone give me the locations of the evolutionary stones so that I can evolve my Eevee? I have found a moon stone and thunder stone, but I'd really love to find a fire stone and water stone. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! |

This game is OK. The depth/length is somewhat lackluster. Usually in a pokemon game you can play through 8 gyms and then battle a sort of "final level" against the Elite 4 and the league champion. Having only the first 6 badges while also missing one of the biggest side-quests in this game (when the player infiltrates team magma's base) is what really ruins the game. The hack was also kind of disappointing for me in that I thought I was getting some pokemon that the hackers created (often referred to as fakemon). The game started with a few fresh pokemon faces, and I was very excited, but after the first gym or second gym (which is barely the beginning) there were no new surprises. I was even tricked into thinking I was getting a new pokemon, only to realize as I played that it was exactly the same in every way except for the name and appearance of the pre-evolution of the pokemon. It even evolved into the original pokemon (which was VERY disappointing for a pokemon fan). For people who are familiar with the mother game of this hack, the map can be confusing and annoying. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this pokemon hack a 7. I found myself continuing to play despite the obvious flaws because I was determined to find new pokemon or see what other changes there could be (because there were not many to note) only to be disappointed when I arrived at a pinnacle part in the game. |

well, I played this game for most of the day yesterday. I am not sure about the other starter pokemon, but Happiny (Mini dug in this hack) evolves into a pokemon called Dug!. This pokemon looks like Chansey with dreadlocks and is part dragon and part normal types. It learns different moves than Happiny (like hyper fang and fire blast). Also, this pokemon hack lets you play up to lilycove city where the giant pokemart is. I collected the six badges up until then and battled my rival. When I finished I went over to the team magma hide out to defeat them after going to mt. pyre, only to have the game automatically restart when you enter the cave. So, the game is essentially the same game as ruby but the evil team is called "team hailz" and there are a few fakemon. HOWEVER, it should be noted that the growlithe fakemon evolves into Arcainine with a fire stone. I feel like there is much left undone in this game. You only encounter fakemon in the beginning of the hack. The routes are a little messed up, but the layout of the towns is identical after the cave near slateport city. I can't really think of too much else, and this is all coming from my own experience playing. It seems to me that most of the new things are in the beginning of the game. |

I don't remember the name of my controller that I am currently using, but it doesn't have a joystick so it won't work for N64 games. I do have an xbox controller, but I don't really understand how to get that to work with my PC and I'm assuming whatever I'll need to do will cost me just as much as the N64 controller I've found on amazon. I've also done a little more research on my controller of interest and find that everyone loves the responsiveness of the joysticks and buttons. if I don't have to do anything special to get my xbox controller to work, I bet that would be OK, but at the same time I know this hyperkin controller is plug & play and works with various emus... I really appreciate your help I really appreciate your help |

Thank you for your help! I have another PC controller that works for NES/SNES/Playstation so I don't mind buying one to play N64. Plus the logitech controllers are pretty pricey, whereas I can get a hyperkin for under $20 thank you everyone for your suggestions and input! thank you everyone for your suggestions and input! |

Thank you so much! I didn't want to waste $20 dollars on a USB controller if it wasn't going to work. I read a poor review online which scared me off a little, but if it will work on the site then I am much more willing to make the small investment for unlimited N64 fun! |

I have been reading up on a few different N64 controllers because I've notice so many people have problems with controllers and the RGR plugin when playing N64 games. I have a Tomee N64 controller, but no adapter. I know that many of the adapters don't work well with 3rd party controllers so I was looking into the Hyperkin N64 controller, which is already a USB controller. I was wondering if anyone uses the Hyperkin and what their experience was and if it works well with vizzed? Or, would it be better to by an adapter (the only ones I really see are May Flash adapters) for my Tomee controller? Suggestions? Thoughts? |
