Ultra man Towards the Future is a Great fighting game. I grew up watching Ultra man shows, and I really enjoy fighting some of the rivals I saw Ultra man defeat in the shows. Although there could have been a lot more opponents. This game is difficult to beat, because of the limited moves you get, and the only way to win is to use your strongest special attack. The unique fighting style is something that gives this game an edge. In my opinion, everyone should try this game at least once. As I mentioned, it is hard, so don't get discouraged, keep at it, and save the world.

This game is a must for any Godzilla fan. Its a basic fighting game, where Kaiju face off street fighter style. The graphics are good and the sound is decent. The story line is typical for any Godzilla fan, and it offers a lot for being one of the very few early Godzilla games. When first starting out, this game can be very difficult, but the more you play it, the easier it gets. I can see how this game could be very addictive, replay value is very high.

Final Fight is a side scrolling fighting game. You can play as either Haggar, who uses wrestling based mover, and Cody, who uses martial arts. Players fight their way through several levels to make their way to the boss. On your way, there are healing items, weapons, and "treasures" to boost your score. The graphics aren't too bad and the sound is decent. This game can be pretty addictive. The story is your basic "stop the bad guys" routine, and in my opinion there could have been a few more levels added on. Final Fight can be pretty difficult at times, but that can be expected when there are times your facing five enemies at once. Replay value for this game is high.

F-Zero is a futuristic racing game. There are four different vehicles you can choose from, each with different top speeds, handling, and acceleration. The "cars" hover above the road and are propelled by rocket engines. Each lap you complete, you gain an "S" with is basically a NoS boost. Ramming into other racers and bumping the wall depletes your health bar, which can be replenished in a "pit stop" area. The graphics are average for a super Nintendo game. The sound can get annoying after a while, especially the high pitch "squeal" of the jet engines. This game can be pretty addicting, but in my opinion its only because you travel at speeds higher than 400 km/h. There is really no in game story line, just win the races. There are several different leagues of different difficulties you can progress through, but the overall depth is what you would expect from a racing game. The difficulty varies from super easy to dang near impossible. The replay value of this game is moderate.

Demons Crest lets you be Firebrand, the demon from Ghosts and Goblins. Firebrand travels through the demon realm to collect crests that give him different powers. The graphics are great for the super nintendo. The music is pretty catchy and fits the game very well. I am very addicted to this game, for me its replay value is extremely high. The story is captivating, even though its the same old "hero saves the day", actually its more like "the demon saves the day". There isn't very many levels, but you can (and will) go back to easier levels once you gain new powers, to get items that were previously unobtainable. Some levels can be difficult, and the bosses are quite challenging. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who is a fantasy action/ adventure fan.

This game covers the main points of the comic series. Obviously from the title, Superman dies. After his demise, you get to play as the four new Supermen, making your way through to the end. The enemies you face can get frustrating at times, but the unlimited continues help a lot. This game feels a lot like "Final Fight" and other side scrolling brawlers. The only thing I didn't like about this game was that you could be hurt by normal street thugs. Don't forget to throw your enemies into walls to find hidden power ups. All in all this is a good game though, its replay value is moderate. The graphics are good for the snes, and the music is decent. It will take a while to beat this game, but its not too difficult.

In my opinion it is a good game. Give it a try, worst case, you don't like it.

The ultimate basketball game! I rarely enjoy sports games, but this game is the exception. The basic rules to basketball still apply, to a point. There is still out of bounds, and back court, baskets count as 2 points, and there are 3 point shots. Beyond that, its an all out attack. The opposing team has the ball and you want it, tackle them. No need to worry about fouls. Randomly placed throughout the court you will find homing bombs, saw blades and land mines, that can either help or impair you. There are also coins that you can pick up on the court that will help you to earn money, which is used to trade you team members for ones with better stats. As you work your way through the leagues, your opponents become more difficult, so upgrading your team is a must. You can adjust the time limit of the games, so you can play a short 3 minute game, or a longer 15 minute game. Replay value is pretty good, and I recommend this game whether you like sports games or not.

One of the first "Mature" rated games I can remember. This side scrolling adventure game paved the way for "gory" games. Players fight their way through a haunted house and nearby woods, using anything they can find to use as a weapon. Ghouls, zombies, zombie dogs, and other hideous creatures are nothing but batting practice for you and your trusty 2x4. Boss battles will catch you off guard, so to avoid a spoiler alert, I will leave it at: expect the unexpected! The music alone is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat (and the sound effect for "Pause" never gets old). Replay value for this game is very high.

Bonk is a caveman who uses his head, literally. He bashes through walls, enemies, and bosses on a quest to restore peace to his homeland. The story is the basic "hero saves the day" but is very appropriate for the title. The music is catchy and fits very well with the game. When I was a child, I spent hours upon hours playing Bonk, I would have been perfectly content if it was the only game I owned for the turbo graphix 16. As Bonk makes his way through his adventure, he find meat to eat, which alters his appearance and performance. When you eat a small meat, you gain grey hair on the sides (but the top stays bald), your attack power doubles, and if you head butt the ground, nearby enemies temporarily turn to stone. Eat another meat (or eat a large meat) and Bonk temporarily gains invulnerability, turns reddish brown (with a scar above his eye) his attack power doubles again, and can turn enemies into stone for a longer periods of time from farther away. Once you make your way through the level, you use a dinosaur skull to get to the boss of the level. Bosses are actually friends of Bonk's that are wearing mind altering helmets, break the helmet and you free your friend. The replay value is very high, and I strongly recommend this game.

Keith Courage is unexpectedly addictive. Each level is broken into two parts, where in the first part you play in your "human" form and the second part you play in your "robot suit". While in your human form, you make your way through simple terrain fighting small creatures that can be killed with one hit. These creatures drop coins, which can be used to visit the nurse, to be healed, the wizard, to buy bombs, and the weapons merchant, to buy a new sword for your robot gear. The graphics are crisp and clear, and have a very "manga" feel to them, as most of the creatures (and Keith himself) are kind of "cute". Once you reach the end of the level in human form, you get transported, via rainbow, to the second part of the level. The second part is much more fast paced. You are now in robot mode, you move faster, jump higher, can use bombs, and have a laser sword (that can be upgraded in the shops in human form). The enemies are much more aggressive, and the landscape is much more treacherous. In robot form, you make your way to the lowest level, carefully avoiding spikes that kill you instantly, to make it to the boss. The bosses start out relatively easy and progressively get harder. Once the boss for a level is beaten, you get transported, again via rainbow, to the next level in human form. This side scrolling game will surely provide hours of game play, despite its lack of in game story line. The unlimited continues are extremely helpful, for all those miscalculated jumps that land you into spike pits. I strongly recommend you give this game a fair chance.
